One Ocean Resort Hotel & Spa - Atlantic Beach

Resort fee of $25/night came as quite a surprise, did not see the value in regards to this "gimmick". Just another way for the hotel to have additional revenue! Also, tiniest bathroom of all the hotels I've stayed! Quality is fantastic & that's why such a shame that hotel has the above issues.

Maybe I'm picky but if a hotel states in its guides in the hotel room that coffee, cappuccino, tea and pastries are served at the hotel bar every morning, I expect to see that. I guess I also wouldn't expect to have to order tea to receive hot water. My wife just wanted hot water to make some hot tea, she had […] some tea with her and she was tole she would have to order tea and have it sent to her room. Overall a nice hotel, but for the money your better bet is to stay at the Hampton Inn at Jax Beach and if you like great food, go to the Aqua Grille at Ponte Vedra (the food there blows the hotel restaurant out of the water, and at a better price). This hotel is somewhat comfortable for those who are not worried about the costs. There are extra resort charges and parking fees that are not small. There restaurant is very, very expensive. The rooms are small and the windows do not open, even if you have a partial view. The spa closes at 6:00pm and when I asked for a tour at 5:00pm they flat out […] told me "no; look at the pictures on the internet." I enjoyed being on the beach and like the local restaurants. Poe's is walking distance and has the best ever burgers. But I think I would stay at a more reasonable hotel. The morning coffee service, just does not make up for the resort and parking fees. I found one ocean resort and spa very enjoyable overall. Great location with nicely priced good restaurants in the area. Gym is comfortable and spacious. Bathroom was very small and uncomfortable. Vehicle parking and add on fees were very high.

I'll start by saying this was a beautiful hotel with a great location! Our stay was very good, but the check in was bumpy.... I arrived early and requested an early check in and the young lady at the front desk was very nice and said my room was ready and I could check in early, then she verified my reservation for a king bed and 2 occupants. That's […] where is started, because I booked a two bed room for 4 adults with partial ocean view. She advised me that the hotel was booked and she would have to see what she could do. Approximately and hour or so later she put us in a 2 bed room at the furthest point from the beach on the second floor, and the room had not been cleaned by room service yet :( went back down the the front desk and the moved us to a room next to the other that was clean and ready, but now my partial ocean view turned into the roof and A/C unit view, needless to say, we kept the curtains closed the whole time lol. other than that the trip was excellent, service was great, and the hotel was awesome, just some minor hiccups Read more

I thought the hotel was nice for the price. The service was exceptional. Everyone was extremely professional. The only complaint is there was a lot of dust. Housekeeping should dust the mirrors above the beds as well as the dust in the corners of the bathrooms. Otherwise, it was a nice place.

Hotel was nice but the extra "resort fee" AND parking charges at check out were very high. Room was clean and nice but the beds were too small for more than one adult. Walking distance to many bars and restaurants make this a good choice for the area.

This is a nice hotel. My husband and I come here often. The beach is beautiful. The restaurant has an excellent breakfast. The rooms are tastefully decorated. I was disappointed to find that they now allow dogs in the hotel -- doesn't seem appropriate for the size (quite small) and style (quite elegant). Too expensive a place to put up with barking […] dogs and the thought of possible dog urine in carpet. Should designate areas for pets. Also, some inconveniences for the price: must request a dvd if want to watch movies, coffee is also a service you have to request... I have been to this hotel a few times. The bathrooms are extremely tiny. They also do not have coffee in the rooms or an iron. It is a very nice hotel all around. Service was great, brought me a coffee pot to the room since they removed it from the lobby as well.

The hotel is beautiful, location is great. Hugh, Bartender in the lobby is fantastic! The only downside is the resort fee and parking fee. The hotel is priced at the higher end, but these added fees make it more expensive than anticipated.

The resort is as pretty as its photos which was great because that's why I feel in love with the location and chose to splurge for our anniversary. Sadly, we missed out on the front desk free check-in for some reason. The docent did call to welcome us but I feel we missed out on some of the amenities due to lack of information or misinformation. While the front desk did remove the fees, it felt accusatory as she did It. As for the room, again it was beautiful and featured an ocean view however there was no balcony and the bathroom was super tiny - to the point of feeling cramped. The rooms are small and the bathrooms even smaller! Our room( on the 8th floor) was constantly noisy with outside fans. There was a ridiculous room charge of 25 dollars per day as well as a charge of 25 dollars per day for parking so I would seek other options . Staff nice but the hotel is mediocre.

We really enjoyed this hotel. It is located right on the beach. Beautiful views. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate you. Lots of free snacks in the room. Enjoyed the spa. A cute little shopping area with restaurants near the hotel to walk to was very enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Very convenient for the beach and some entertainment - restaurants and some night life. The staff were kind enough but they had messed a few things up which tainted our impression from the get-go. Our room still had a few left-overs from the previous guests. When I mentioned it at the front, they were apologetic and immediately changed our room. We […] had requested an infant bed for our 3 year old which was not ready when we go there. When I mentioned that - they immediately brought up a crib and bottle warmer - even though they had met my daughter already and knew that she did not need a 'crib' or bottle - but an extra cot. The worst though was the thin walls in the hotel. Each night we were woken up by partying next door followed by an all too clear - xoxo session. For the price we paid - which does not include the additional resort fees etc / or breakfast - we would have been much better off at some of the other hotels we have stayed at in the past. We had an ocean view but no balcony or window to actually open. I have never stayed in an oceanfront room with no access to a balcony or window. Only a handful of rooms have a balcony. I would not stay there for the money unless I had a balcony.

We were charged a valet fee of 20 dollars to park our own car and a homeless woman was sleeping on a bench on the second floor. The hotel did remove the fee the next morning but it didn't change the fact that they intended to charge it. The hotel is beautiful and right on the beach.
