One Ocean Resort Hotel & Spa - Atlantic Beach

This was my 7th time staying at One Ocean. It is a nice place & is very convenient. It is walking distance to great restaurants. I haven't dined at their in house restaurant because the prices are pretty steep for Atlantic Beach - in fact they are steep for NYC. The only con is having to pay for parking and the resort fee. Valet service, pool service, bell boy service, lots of staff to help you out! Beautiful hotel. The rooms are a little small. The location is great for the beach and restaurants. Because of all the extra service help there are extra resort and parking fees.

The old sea turtle has been revamped to a very fine resort hotel. The service is phenomenal. Tell Hugh at the lobby bar hello and he will be your friend for life. The one call took a little getting used to. I am just a little too suspicious when told press the button, ask for anything, and we will get it for you. I felt that the bathroom was small, however it didn't really matter. I also didn't remember knowing ahead of time about haveing to pay $18.00 for parking.

We cannot possibly praise this resort highly enough! The location, amenities, staff and the overall experience of being right on the beach and near shops and restaurants was outstanding. We have already recommended One Ocean to our friends and family and will continue to do so.

The staff was so attentive and kind. We had a small problem with the reservations but the staff made up for it and smoothed everything over. I cant say enough about the professionalism of the entire staff. Its a pretty penny to stay there but to me being taken care of is worth a lot.

My husband and I stayed here for a quick getaway and were very impressed. The Hotel decor is beautiful, location is walking distance to shops and restaurants and right on the beach. We normally stay at Luxury hotels like the W and Ritz and have to say we loved this hotel just as much! We had the Superior King room and had a beautiful view of the Atlantic […] Ocean. The only thing I thought could have been better is all the extra charges ( i.e. $25.00 a day Resort fee and $15.00 Valet fee a day) why not just include the resort fee into the price? We decided not to eat dinner at the hotel but Breakfast by the pool was awesome! Room service bill through me for a loop but we know next time just to hit the local places or go downstairs and eat. From the lobby to the bathrooms, this hotel is beautiful. Very tasteful, not cheesy decor. Well maintained and very clean. In fact the whole place smells like the spa. Refreshing! Every single member of the staff that we encountered was friendly and helpful. If you like being pampered this is the place to be. We arrived late at night craving milkshakes […] and even though they were not on the 24 hr room service menu, they said "no problem" and happily made them for us. A couple of things to note: 1) This is a luxury hotel so things are expensive. There is a daily resort fee, beach chairs are very nice but are rented by the day or half day, food items and beverages are pricey. However the snacks, sodas and bottled water in the room are free and replenished daily, the morning coffee is free and served beautifully and quickly, if you rent the chairs, the pool boys do all the work for you including bringing you fresh towels and bottled water. Towels are provided for you to take to the pool or the beach. They will also serve your food/drinks to you on the beach. To us, it was valuable service and well worth it. Plus, with the deal we got on hotels.com the room rate was low! 2) This is not a big touristy area with souvenir shops on every block. The beach is beautiful (lots os shells, too) and was not jam packed when we were there. There is a very nice Beaches Town Center with restaurants and boutiques and specialty shops right across from the hotel. That is about it for attractions though. If you want to be in the midst of the college crowd or have somewhere to take the kids every night you might have to drive down Atlantic Blvd. a bit to get to that. For us, these things were advantages. We wanted to relax and get away from it all so the location suited us perfectly. My stay here, although brief, was amazing! Upon arrival, I see that I indeed am directly ON the ocean/beach side. After a few minutes I hear a knock at the door and Debra introduces herself as my docent. I invite her in and she proceeds to tell me that she is at my service, on a 24 hour basis, for anything I might need. Basically she is my personal […] Concierge for the duration of my stay. If I need ice, spa appointments, recommendations, directions, car service, refreshments, turn-down service...basically anything I could think of...she was there for me. Then she proceeds to tell me that all the water, sodas and snacks in the room are included!!! I knew I was in heaven! Needless to say, my stay was Awesome! I never felt the need for anything. When they say LUXURY, they mean it!! None of the pictures lie one bit! Went to 2 restaurants nearby - Ocean 60 Restaurant & Wine Bar and Ragtime Tavern Seafood & Grill. This was not the first time I have stayed at this hotel. Love the hotel, the room was fantastic! If you are looking for a relaxing get away, this is it! The location couldn't have been better! One Ocean has a great location on the water and you can walk to numerous bars and restaurants. The only downside was the lack of hot water. My shower was luke warm at best. I thought it may be just me, but the four other guests I was travelling with experience the same thing.

This hotel is beautiful. The amenities were FANTASTIC. Room Service: Not only was dinner served on time the quality and presentation were amazing! I really enjoyed the phone call to see if I would like someone to bring me a cup of tea to have with dessert. I wish I was here for more than one night... I will be back for pleasure!!

This little piece of heaven located in Atlantic Beach is incredible! From the moment we drove up until the unfortunate moment we had to leave we were treated like royalty. There is absolutely nothing that they will not do for you as their guest. I highly recommend this resort and spa!

I was not told of a $25 facility fee for staying at this hotel or the $75 "Pet fee".

This was a great spur of the moment trip and we really enjoyed the hotel. I will caution you that there are a lot of hidden fees! $25 resort fee each day along with $15the a day for parking. Just take it into consideration, but the hotel is awesome!

My sister & I came across One Ocean by searching hotels.com based on the highest rating. We booked the room...praying that it would be ok. To our surprise and delight, the hotel was better than we could have expected. A friendly docent came to our room and told us about the hotel and amenities! There is a $25/room/day resort fee that covers all the […] bottled water you can drink, snacks and coffee (the docent brings coffee to your door). The spa was beautiful (didn't get any services but got a tour of the facilities). The fitness center was well equipped with weights, nautilus, and cardio machines. The lobby was beautifully decorated (the 2K lb gingerbread sleigh was amazing and the gingerbread smell was delightful), the Christmas trees were beautifully appointed, and the common areas in general were well done. The under water theme was tastefully done, the artwork beautiftul. Breakfast in the hotel was delish, the decor in the restaraunt was well done. Can't say enough, thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I loved this hotel except for the parking. That being you had to pay $15 to park in their lot. I know it is only $15 but good grief just add it the cost of the room!

One Ocean is a very relaxing vacation experience. My husband and I stayed there for our one year anniversary and the entire staff was amazing. The bartender, Hugh was amazing. The spa was excellent, everyone was so nice and accommodating! The rooms were gorgeous with a beautiful ocean view. Be warned however, they did take a while to clean the room, […] we spent 3 hours at the spa and the room had not been cleaned when we got back. They also were a little slow on picking up our room service dishes. BUT, everything else was amazing. They do charge a fee for the drinks and snacks in the room, so go ahead and eat them, they're charging you regardless. Make sure to look at your checks, sometimes gratuity is already added onto your check, so be sure to read if you typically don't. On the whole, this hotel is a great place to get away and just relax and recharge. I will definitely be staying here again!! Read more

We went to One Ocean for a long weekend getaway, it was great. The rooms were really nice and the bed was great. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend One Ocean!

My husband and I went away for the weekend and chose One Ocean. It was wonderful. I would definitely recommend it! We had the couples massage and the Spa was incredible. The rooms were opulent and very clean! This is a first class establishment! Definitely worth every penny!

My wife and I stayed here over the Labor Day weekend and it was wonderful. There were 2 weddings there, but you would never have known it, as each guest is pampered and taken care of individually. The valet was great, the snacks in the room and the service was top notch! The bed was the most comfortable part of the weekend. We will be back!

the One Ocean Resort was spectacular. We were expecting a 'nice' hotel, not a 'fancy' hotel and this was somewhere in between. Beautiful beach front resort, with extremely friendly staff, and even the food / drinks in the fridge were free. Price was reasonable on Hotels.com, but when we checked out there were extra charges that weren't to be expected. […] That's my only caveat to staying here. Other than that ... This was our 4th stay at One Ocean & it still did a great job. The nightly surcharge for our dog was a bit pricey, but they do welcome her with lots of goodies! The spa is very good as is room service. The location is very convenient.

This was a very nice hotel but we did not think the hotel service was that good. We also did not like the daily $25.00 charge for snacks we felt like that was a ripoff. We also didnt like that there was no hot tub there and that we had to always hunt down someone at the pool for towels. The room was very clean and nice.

I thought the hotel was decorated nicely, staff was friendly and accomodating. The room was clean and the bed was actually comfortable. Also, we had a nice view of the ocean from the room. The only down fall... bathroom was small, the hallways were like saunas (even though the room was cool and full of free snacks!), and there were only 2 elevators […] that took forever! I liked the hotel, but I went in with the expectation it would be a resort and spa. After a walk on the beach I went into the Ladies restroom located off the pool to find there were no paper towels, hand towels, towels of any kind and no soap. This kind of grossed me out. They seemed to take care of the big picture items, but loose track of the details […] and for me, a resort place of this caliber should be paying attention to the details because the details, the little things they remember during your stay are the things that are going to bring the customer back.
