I booked this hotel for my mother and her brothers for a short family get together while visiting their sister in Jax Beach. They all said it was clean and nice--esp loved the breakfast, could not believe it had so much variety of diff foods and they said it was delicious! Only dissatisfied thing is that when I made the reservation, they said the room had two doubles and a sofa bed, but found out when they checked in the hotel had no such thing--so kind of squished with 3 grown people in one room. But overall they enjoyed the trip and would stay there again.

Location.
On the beach, Ponte Vedra Inn & Club is in Ponte Vedra Beach (Beach Cities) and area attractions include TPC at Sawgrass, Adventure Landing, and Mayo Clinic Florida. Additional area attractions include Windsor Parke Golf Club.
Resort Features.
Ponte Vedra Inn & Club has a full-service spa, a golf course, and a health club. This 4.5-star resort features business amenities including a business center, small meeting rooms, and limo/town car service. This luxury resort offers a restaurant, a coffee shop/café, and a bar/lounge. The staff can arrange wedding services, event catering, and business services. Additional amenities include an outdoor pool, a children's pool, and a spa tub.
Guestrooms.
Rooms open to patios. The 250 air-conditioned guestrooms at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club include minibars and safes. Beds have triple sheeting and premium bedding. Rooms have wireless Internet access. 32-inch flat-panel televisions are equipped with premium cable channels and DVD players. All accommodations provide desks and complimentary newspapers; free local calls are offered (restrictions may apply). Bathrooms offer shower/tub combinations, scales, bathrobes, and makeup/shaving mirrors.
All units have kitchenettes with microwaves, refrigerators, and coffee/tea makers. Additional amenities include slippers and complimentary bottled water. In addition, a turndown service is offered nightly, housekeeping is available daily, and amenities available on request include wake-up calls.

Seafoam Room - The signature restaurant serving Continental cuisine in candlelit ambiance with piano music and ocean views. Open late morning to evening.
Inn Dining Room - Beamed ceiling; rich, patterned fabrics. A wide selection of fresh seafood dishes. Open late morning to evening.
Golf Club - Overlooking the blue lagoons and the famous 9th hole. Casual food, featuring soups, salads, and specialty sandwiches for lunch and steaks and seafood for dinner. Open late morning to evening.
Surf Club Patio - Located at the beach. Seafood specialities; lighter fare. Open early afternoon to early evening.
Beach Snack Bar - Snack fare at the beach. Late morning to evening.
Guests can play 18 holes of golf at the resort either on the Ocean or the Lagoon Course. Both are challenging courses with Bermuda greens protected by steep-faced bunkers and swirling sea breezes, making all 14 clubs necessary.
The tennis center has 15 Har-Tru courts in a park-like setting. Seven courts are lit for evening play. An 8,000-square-foot, oceanfront fitness center offers a six-lane Olympic pool, aerobics, Pilates, sauna, and a full range of exercise equipment.
The Surf Club offers three beachside pools, including a large, youth-friendly option with shallow waters and a children's wading pool.
Guests can also enjoy a Lomi Lomi massage, herbal and seaweed wraps, hot paraffin manicures, and Hydra Pure Hydration facials at the 30,000-square-foot spa.
The Ponte Vedra area provides great fishing opportunities for flounder, bass, trout and the famous Florida snook, or guests can take deep-sea charters into other waters for big game fishing.
Cycling around the village community is popular, as is nearby horseback riding, either leisurely trots along the coast or guided trail rides into the Florida wild.

Nice hotel in an nice neighborhood. Not enough stuff close to the resort. We wanted to find a sports bar to have a couple of drinks. Nothing but the resort bar was within walking or driving distance. We would have had to drive all the way up to Jax Beach to find something. As a result the drinks were quite expensive because it was the resort bar which […] is also small. We requested and received onfirmmation for a two bed golf course room. When we arrived we were told those room not available. Put us instead in a one bed room with a ocean "view" We could see ocean out one window between two buildings.

The attention to detail was superb, great activities, and plenty to do. However, a refrigerator in the room would have been convenient.
I find this a very relaxing inn .. Whenever I have an appointment anywhere near I always choose the PonteVedra Inn... Exceptional service and lovely surroundings.

"Ponte Vedra Inn and Club is Paradise"
We recently stayed at Ponte Vedra Inn and Club from August 23rd - August 29th. This was one of our best family vacations. The ocean view room was very spacious with plenty of room for myself, hubby, and 3 year old daughter. We only had to go down a flight of stairs and we were walking along the beach. The kid's playground could have been larger with […] more swings, slides, etc. We had no complaints because there was no one in the area besides my daughter. The kiddie pool was awesome. My daughter can't swim but there was a swallow area for the non-swimmers. There is also tennis, spa, and golf....entertainment for everyone. I just wanted the beach and a good book, lol. We didn't dine at any of the restaurants as we didn't bring any dress clothes...no blue jackets and black dresses.....We opted to dine at neighboring restaurants....there are many to choose from. Ponte Vedra is a service oriented resort where all of the staff aims to please. Beautiful beach, all facilities are perfect in every way. Has just about everything you would want to keep you busy or allow you peace.

Our family spent three nights their and this hotel is first class all the way!! The hotel room was HUGE; largest we have ever stayed in.... We had a room with a 'partial view' of the beach! Walk out the back door and you are almost at the beach! Our room was at the far side of the hotel and the beach was almost completely private! It was immaculate...... […] We didn't visit any of the restaurants or snack bars...the prices were high, however there was a frig. and microwave in the room, so we had lots of snacks and drinks to satisfy our two teenage boys.... I went to the health club each morning and it was outstanding....very well equipped!! There was an $18 a day fee, but no tips need to ever tip any personnal, so it worked out well. Would totally visit again. It would be great for a girls weekend or another family outing!!!! Not cheap,but soooooo worth the money!!! Read more

My daughter and I accompanied my parents to this resort. It was a gift for their birthdays and they had wanted to stay at this hotel for sometime. Except for the glitch at check-in, everything was wonderful. We spent three nights. Our upgraded room was in the Atlantic House and very close to the pools which was fantastic for my 13 year old. We spent […] most of our time on the beach which was great. There were lifeguards working all of the pools and the beach. There was never a shortage of pool towels. Food and drinks were excellent, if a little pricey, but not out of range for this type of vacation. Chairs, umbrellas and all types of water equipment were available for rent. If you are driving to the resort, I'd recommend bringing your own beach chair and renting the umbrella. We often stay on Disney property and usually cruise once a year, so I felt that this was comparable. There are many excellent restaurants in the area, so we ate some meals out. Service was also excellent. Our room was large and extremely comfortable. Having turn-down service was a bonus after a long day on the beach. All in all, we had a fantastic time at this lovely property and are planning a return trip next summer. Read more

When I arrived at the hotel to check-in, I asked for an upgrade to an ocean-side room and, for a small fee, was given a beach front suite. It was gorgeous! Steps down to the beach from the terrace off my greatroom, and another door to the beach from the suite's bedroom. The service was very friendly and impeccable. The room was luxurious and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Bathroom was like a fine master bath - shower big enough for two! Loved walking out the french doors to a patio with fire pit and hot tub within a few steps - wonderful time!

"Disappointed"
Not my cup of tea. Older hotel. rooms are in several buildings and reminds me of a vacation I would have taken in the 1960's. More a garden apartment feel. Location is OK.

"Exceeded Expectations!!!!!!!!!!!"
From check in to check out, this place was 5 Star all the way. They accommodated every request. Staff was friendly. Pool was basically on the beach. Just an incredible set up. I will stay there again and maybe even make a weekend trip just to stay there.

There is no beach service. The beach chars are extremely old,poor quality. Swimming pool staff very unfriendly, constant lack of towels, swimming pool slide is closed after 5pm (swimming pool is open until 9pm, that makes our kids so frustrated. The hotel charged me 18$ resort fee, and I still dont understand what is this for, since nobody ever opened […] the door for me and I could not get help with my luggage when I was checking out.Their cash free policy is simply one more reason to charge extra for nothing, or poor service, simply rip off. The rooms smell!!! The breakfast buffet was not available every day, poor quality, extremely expensive food in Inn Restaurant, the waiters asked me 5x for the resort card (what a nonsens). Read more

My family got a room with a "beach view". It's not really a beach view as much as it is "you open your patio door and walk out to the beach". If you plan on using the beach as extensively, I would highly recommend a beach view room. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The refrigerator in our room didn't seem to keep things very cold […] so we wound up using our cooler instead. We just kept it filled with ice and that worked out well. Read more

This is a fantastic place with staff who know what "SERVICE" means. Rooms are quiet and very comfortable; the on premises restaurant is outstanding. Resort appears to cater to the business meeting clientele, often with families. The meeting rooms are nicely laid out and again 4-Star service.

The room was very nice and well appointed. However, maintenance had to come to get the internet service working and the patio was filthy. We had to request that it be cleaned to even feel comfortable to sit. The hotel is listed with St. Augustine hotels, but it is about 30 miles away. The included gratuity is excessive ($20/day) for maid service. We […] didn't need the valet. Also, we would have used the spa, but it was only open 1/2 day on Sunday and closed on the Memorial Day holiday. It seems odd that they would close on a major holiday weekend. Read more
