Cute, quaint and comfortable. I only wish there was closer/walkable beach access. Armstrong redwoods are a must see and an awesome hike, only 10mins from the cottages! I would definitely stay again!

Much better than I had even hoped. The property was great, the surroundings beautiful, and the staff awesome. Guerneville is a nice little burg. That seems to have so far avoided the pretentiousness of some of the other wine country towns. We will be back.

We stayed at the Cottages for a low key wine tasting trip with friends while in Guerneville. The cottages provided a no fuss, comfortable, and inexpensive place to stay during our 3 day trip. They offered smokes every night from 8-10. There are no views of vineyards, but the inside garden was pleasant. The location was not far from vineyards in the area and Armstrong Park. They also offered spa treatments and a swimming pool. If you are looking for big hotel experience, this is not the place for you, but if you want a relaxing modest, cozy and clean place, this is it. 18-wheelers speed by mere feet from your bed. Our cabin literally shook so hard, we weren't sure it was a truck or an earthquake. Which is too bad, because the rest of the amenities and service are great. Comfortable bed. Free breakfast includes bagels, apple fritters, yogurt, fruit. One mile in to Guerneville proper.

It is a property with the perfect service and clean rooms, but in March the rooms are wet and cold. When you are turning on the heater, the temperature rapidly grows but heater stays on, making it almost tropical. Rooms are small. Two bedrooms unit has the only bathroom in one of the bedrooms. It isn't extremely convenient.

The reports about road noise are accurate, but considering Guerneville is nestled in a narrow river valley that goes with the territory. We enjoyed our stay at the Cottages while in Sonoma County for the Wine Road festival. It was a nice break from the wineries to be able to hike among the redwoods in Armstrong Woods in the morning and to sit around the campfire at night to take advantage of the s'mores fixings! The room was very clean and the water pressure excellent! I had read the […] reviews about the road noise but even though we were in a road side cabin we did not have an issue. It would be ideal if the breakfast were out just a bit earlier, but the bagels were excellent. We arrived very late, but someone came to check us in within just a couple of minutes, so we had no issue with the desk not being staffed 24 hours. Everyone we encountered who worked there (even Frank the property cat) were very friendly. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel the property is probably not for you, but if you are looking for a reasonably priced and very friendly property set in the redwoods, try the Cottages! Read more

Cabins were clean and well appointed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we did not realize the cabin did not have air conditioning. We stayed on a very hot evening and it was uncomfortable. The cabins are also near a road and noise is an issue, especially with the windows open. Smores by the fire pit were very enjoyable.

We stayed at this hotel because it was available during a local wine festival. The rooms are cabins (primarily no shared walls), and very clean and minimally decorated, but very pleasant. Considering the price and the amenities, my party of 5 was thrilled with the accomondations! The surprise was that almost everyone came outside to sit around the fire and participate! It was the closest to a child-hood memory that you could imagine! Everyone was on their best behavior discussing their day, what they did saw, where they were from. . .very nice! I think the only time I remember actually communicating with other guests like this would be at a Bed and Breakfast, at breakfast. The breakfast was minimal, but sufficient.
