I would had given it 5/5 if the hotel was within 30 minutes of Yosemite national park entrance. But would stay again, as me and my family , enjoyed the stay

We were spending the weekend at Yosemite and needed a hotel for Saturday night. I was able to book a room at Miners Inn last minute for a great rate in a King-Luxury. We passed the Inn on the way to Yosemite on Saturday around 1PM and they let us check in early. After a day of hiking it was perfect to return to a nice warm room with a huge jacuzzi tub! […] We turned on the fireplace to warm up the room and soothed our bodies in the huge jet tub in our room. Be aware the pool and hot tub are closed. We were told this is due to new CA law requiring handicap lifts on all pools. So it will be closed indefinitely until they have money to put in the lift. Our room was very clean, towels were not scratchy, bed was very comfortable. The room and bathroom were both very spacious. We even had a little porch to enjoy our coffee on in the morning. We wanted a full breakfast so we didn't eat at the Inn. But we checked it out...it had make your own waffles, fresh fruit, cereal/oatmeal, yogurt, pastries, bagels etc. looked great but we had a caving for a big breakfast with eggs. The woman at the front desk gave a great recommendation to Sugar Pine. The Inn is situated right off 140. It's about a 45min drive to get to the Yosemite Valley Gate then probably another 20 mins to get into the Valley. A little further than I would have liked, but for the price and comfort it was well worth it. We will definitely return during our next stay over at Yosemite. Read more

Was in Mariposa for a wedding. Miners Inn was convenient and stay was pleasant. Good deal for the money. Had a suite with kitchenette, fireplace and balcony. Was nice quiet place--would stay again.

Very nice, comfortable bed, the fireplace was a great way to warm the room, too. Not much on the TV cable though, not even MSNBC. Oh well, we were only there for one night. Fair to its price. However, the wifi can't work recently in the room. The breakfast is not prepared well. We arrived in lobby for breakfast but the staff is cleaning the pancake machine already.

Shared the room. It was big enough with fridge & microwave. Shower/toilet & sink areas tight. Continental breakfast helps. Wifi avail only in lobby/breakfast area. I stay here multiple days in a row twice a year.

The staff were accommodating but the atmosphere was definitely not in any way classy. Some of staff wear uniforms but they are very tired looking and some don't. None smiled and since its off season, they are the people you see most milling around the rooms. The mini fridge had a bad odor. They advertise WiFi but they didn't have it anywhere except […] the lobby. They told me they didn't realize it and they are waiting for parts and the General Manager isn't in to discuss it because its Sunday. I found out from a local retailer that they haven't had WiFi since last Summer. Also, there is no phone reception AT ALL. I also found out that Verizon is the only servicer with reception in Mariposa but only if you go in for major update and request/demand a new Sim Card? Crazy. Couldn't even check my voicemail. Definitely a strange experience being isolated from civilization like that. They should inform any first time visitors to the area about this and disclose their lack of WiFi as this is a standard amenity. The coffee shop has it for goodness sake! The continental breakfast was the best part. Oh, and the toilet had to be plunged at 9pm at night and we couldn't figure out what caused it. Glad we only stayed 2 nights. Read more

My room was good size and had a fridge and microwave. The included breakfast was fairly good with all the usual items and make-your-own waffles. While there was free wifi, it was only accessible from the lobby or closest rooms (not mine) and it took me a while to get connected. Also, we were very disappointed that both nights we were locked out of the spa hot tub access -- after hiking in the cold all day we had really been looking forward to using it and had talked about it all day. The hotel is a great place to stay when you visit Yosemite National Park. You can get free breakfast at the hotel and also there is a restaurant in the premises. The front staff was nice and friendly. The room was clean. There were 2 things I was not happy with, though. The hair dryer only worked at low so it took more than 10 minutes to dry my hair. It is a good option. It´s cheap and close to Yosemite. The staff was very helpful. The hotel is old, so the upkeep is no the best, however the room was very comfortable.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Miners Inn. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was standard, waffles, cereal, and toast but they never ran out food and the dinning area was clean. We will definitely stay here again.

Simple but good motel. Nice breakfast. The restaurant is ok for lunch or dinner. But the WiFi does not work! If you urgently need WiFi avoid this hotel. The employees told me that they had these WiFi problems for more than two years now, so most likely this will not improve too soon...

It is a drive from Yosemite, but totally worth it. The price was FANTASTIC and the room was huge. The breakfast is great and the people are all around awesome. Everything in town closes at 9pm, so be sure to get there early. Although, the Gold Coin was our favorite spot for beer and food.

After driving 7 hours we arrived and I called to see if we could get early check in. Cathy answered the phone with a smile and said come on in. Tammy checked us in and we had a room next to the pool. Then we met Rick... If you have the opportunity to speak with Rick it is like having your own tour guide. He gave us great suggestions on what to do and […] where to go. Rick has a spirit none like others. His passion for life and Yosemite makes one want to stay longer. The rooms were clean and comfortable with heat and air. No internet but who cares, sometimes its good to disconnect. Breakfast had a variety to choose from and clean too. The location is about 1 hours drive from the park but not that bad.
