"Better than expected"
I thought it was going to be a dive but it was much better than I had expected. Sure the rooms need updating but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room had A/C, mini fridge, microwave and a coffee maker. The breakfast room was always very crowded and the food was blah. We used the little swimming pool every afternoon. Our kids loved it. The hotel was very quaint. The rooms were average. The restaurant was a nice place to eat at.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Yosemite"
We did enjoy our stay at the miners inn. It was about a 50 minute drive to the main entrance which is very close and not a bad drive at all. The room was nice and quiet just a bit outdated. The wifi did not work in our room and we were told that it worked better in the 24 hour lobby or by the pool. We were in then same building as the lobby and it didn't […] work in out room so I would say it doesn't reach any of the rooms. The town is a cute little town that has a lot of restaurants and a grocery store. The breakfast was not the best but it was free. Overall it was a decent place to stay near Yosemite. "Price is too High!"
Place was out dated for the price per night. Breakfast was good!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice breakfast. Nice area. One security issue."
My family stayed at the Miner's Inn because it was much less expensive than the alternatives in Yosemite, but was a fairly close drive. The carpet in the room appeared to be old (i.e. concerns that it may have been laden with dust mites). Other than that, it was clean and roomy enough for my family. There are three exits to the building where we stayed […] and the doors at the end of the building were often ajar (i.e. anyone could get in). While several of us went to pick up a pizza, my wife remained alone in the room. Within 2 minutes, she heard a knock on the door. She could not see a person on the other side of the door through the peephole, so she did not open the door. Having unlocked entry doors to the building was convenient, but I would have preferred to have the doors locked with entry accessed with a room key. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"close enough to Yosemite"
the room was very typical of a budget hotel, but the room has a musty smell, which we found out was from the A/C dripping onto the carpet. breakfast was offered from 69 a.m. in the lobby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Only stayed one night but were pleased with the quality, cleanliness of the room. Also, appreciated the very friendly staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent value in a very expensive location"
The Miners' Inn is one of the closest lodgings outside of Yosemite, and lodging within the park is both scarce and either primitive or very expensive. This is a very good compromise, comfortable, with a good restaurant adjacent, and a beautiful drive into the park. Good facilities, good location.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent spot near Yosemite National Park"
The Miner's Inn is a nicely maintained, clean and moderately priced motel near the main entrance to Yosemite National Park. Unless you are absolutely committed to staying in the Park and can afford the prices of lodging there or are camping there, this property is an excellent place to stay while visiting the park. It is 45 minutes from the Park by […] car and there is a public transit bus that goes to the Park from the town this property is in. Decent local restaurants, clean place, reasonably priced, good location, quiet, plenty of parking. Even has a pool and a decent breakfast. Give it a try. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great point for look all about YOSEMITE"
It was wonderful to have hotel and information center next to each other. Driving rental made it very easy to get around the Yosemite park itself. There is information center next to the hotel which made it very easy to find the information about whole Yosemite Park. We took guided tour first day to find out where about of main Yosemite attraction and […] next two days we explore all site by driving. It was very great. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Needs to be updated"
The motel is pretty old, it needs to be updated. The room had a strong overpowering sweet smell coming from the bathroom. The front desk was nice. The breakfast didn't have enough protein choices for us.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good nights stay."
Friendly staff and clean room with comfy beds. Internet service was down when we were there and that was an inconvenience. Cute town.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice and cosy"
Decent motel, clean and quiet. Close to Yosemite so a good place to stay if can't find a room in the park itself.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great for the Price"
Considering that this is a resort area, we thought this was a great place to stay for the price. There hallway carpets need to be replaced and the jacuzzi needed a little work. The room were clean, the towels were new, breakfast was a typical motel spread, nothing special. We'd go back again, but then again, we are people that budget vs. staying in […] Four-star hotels. "Good enough for the price"
Nice location. Right on the way to Yosemite Park. Breakfast was a fiasco!!! Not enough food because they were waiting for a delivery. Come on...It's Easter weekend and spring break for the area. Should be more prepared. Lady in charge was entertaining because she was so frazzled!! They had waffles (which I always love) and strawberries. Donuts and that […] is about it!! No protein offered at all. That aside, the room was fine and comfortable. Nothing spectacular, but okay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good "Budget" Hotel near Yosemite"
Mariposa is basically the closest real town to Yosemite (with respect to services, etc.) The hotel is close to the center of town, basically walking distance to the restaurants and bars downtown. The hotel itself is reasonably large and supports a pretty good breakfast. The buildings and decor are a bit old, but not unusually so. However, the shower […] head was located at my shoulder height, and I'm only 6 feet. Remember that you'll be paying more for the location, so take that in mind (of course, that's true of anything within 1.5 hours of Yosemite). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I was disappointed that there was no bathtub or wifi in the room. When I read the review it was not specific about these items I just assumed that they were available. the room was stuffy and had very little air flow. some of the lamps were missing light bulbs. this room did not deserve a 4 rating as listed on the website.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not so great"
We chose this hotel to be close to Yosemite, and it wasn't a bad drive, but not a luxurious place by any means. The room was clean, but very outdated and bed was uncomfortable. Stayed here because it was all I could find that was affordable and pet friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was fine, clean, if a little small. I would go back. The one downside is the breakfast, while included is pretty low in protein and high in carbs, and not great quality. If you like carbs, you'll be happy. The other small negative is that you can't easily walk into town from this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable and Close to Yosemite"
We liked that this place was solar-powered and the staff was very friendly. There is a breakfast each morning and it is clear that the owners put a lot of effort into keeping the hotel clean and comfortable for guests. It isn't the fancy type of room you might find in a big city but it was perfect for us to access Yosemite without the expense of staying […] in the park. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not bad...but not great"
The price wasn't really bad considering that the hotel is located in a tourist town. The major issue for me was that I couldn't get internet in my room...which, for the price, I wasn't really happy about. Other than that, the hotel amenities are okay. The front desk lady seemed pretty nice. They had a mini shop in their lounge too.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Best Price in Town!"

"Nice employees disappointing rooms"
The staff is great and helpful. The rooms are another story. The carpets are dirty, the door had a gap at the bottom of the door which let in all the cold air and noise from the outside. The pillows are flat and uncomfortable. I would not stay at this hotel or recommend it to a friend.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good and safety place"

I will not go back. I was greeted with excellent customer service for my check in. The customer service in the morning was terrible. It was hard to enjoy my breakfast when all I could hear was the supervisor complaining about how bad the day was going. She was very crabby. I wished she could have talked about the problems in a different room from the […] customers. The hotel rooms were roomy and clean. The tv had a lot of static and I was not able to get all the channels. The hallways looked very dated and had a very strong smell of carpet cleaning chemicals. "Great place for a stopover"
We stayed here before heading up the Merced River to go camping. The room was clean and good-sized. However, having the bed next to the heater was more of a hindrance than a help, as the air blew both too hot and very dry which made for an uncomfortable night's sleep. The balcony was nice! The furniture is dated but it was nice to have a regular coffee […] pot as opposed to those chinsy one-cup deals. The free breakfast was an added bonus, it's your basic continental fare (cereal, waffles, toast, coffee/tea/juice) but free is free. All in all a nice hotel for our purpose. "A Good Budget Hotel Stay for a Family"
My wife, daughter, and I rented a room with two beds for two nights, and it was good. The rooms are a little dated and the mattresses were about a 6. Wi-fi was really good. TV, microwave, fridge, coffee-maker in the room. Room was clean and had no odor, and this was even a pet-friendly room (we had brought our dog -- $15 extra p/night). No problems […] with other renters, who all seemed to be looking for a decent place to stay at a good bargain. The breakfast is mainly bread. There is a waffle iron with a small toppings bar, and that was good. The staff runs the place well and keep it nice and clean, and they are courteous. This hotel is about 29 miles from Yosemite, but it takes longer to get there due to the slower speed limits on the windy road. However, the scenery is very pretty. This was a good stay and made good memories, and I recommend it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A Traveler's Treasure"
We, my wife and I, could not asked for better accommodations, services, staff attention to detail and the right location, at the junction of highways 49 and 140, to visit Yosemite park. The room was spacious: furniture properly arranged and a bathroom-shower specifically set up for a disable person on a wheelchair. The room included all the amenities […] that should be standardized in the hotel industry: refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, tv, radio-alarm, iron board and iron, The morning continental breakfast was pleasant and satisfying while sharing the space and moment with foreign tourist from all over the world. Thankfully, the staff expeditiously maintained the tables full with plenty amounts of dry cereals: juices, coffee, a good sort of breads, fresh fruits, pastries and pancake mix dispenser for the best make your own hot waffle. Furthermore, I also was very impressed with the hotel's environmental reduction of its carbon foot print . The hotel has a large array of solar panels to operate all its electrical power equipment and provide all its guests with a more environmental-friendly accommodation. Yes, the rooms have LED and CFL energy efficient light bulbs. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"En route to Yosemite"
My feelings are mixed. On the one hand, the location was close to Yosemite and most of the accessibility details were great: bathroom easy to use, close handicapped parking, but some little items were off (phone not near bed, hard to get to plugs for several devices, doors to room not automatic. My negative feelings came from the lack of in-room WiFi. […] I am certain the ad for this location said that service was available since that was a major factor for me in booking; I even mentioned that need to the hotels.com person who worked with me. Once there, there was no in-room WiFi--several of is were complaining. At check-in we were told construction caused the problems, use the service at the pool. That was not an accessible option for me and those who had been using that area were not happy. In the morning, the manager said, "There is never WiFi in the rooms, just general places." She placed the blame for advertising notice elsewhere. If I need internet--which I did since I teach online and needed to connect that evening with my students--I will not try this locale again. If not needing internet, then I would go back. But be advised, it is in a small town with no restaurants that deliver--there is one nearby. Only one drive thru and the quality there was not great. "Great Stop on the way to Yosemite"
Mariposa is such a great town on the way to Yosemite that we decided to spend half the day there before going into Yosemite. The hotel was convenient and comfortable. The continental breakfast was good, but gets kind of crowded. The staff was very friendly- overall great experience. We will be back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

While it was not very close to Yosemite, it was a lovely ride to get there. Rooms were clean and hotel well maintained. Restaurant next door was very convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We spent four nights here while visiting Yosemite. Our room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful.
