Monterey Bay Inn - Monterey

Everything was perfect. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The hotel was close to everything we wanted to do, could walk to everything. Hotel staff were great!! Will ALWAYS stay here when visiting Monterey!

We loved our park/ ocean view room that smelled of lavender right as we opened the door. It had a huge tub and nice big bathroom. They supplied binoculars that we used to view the sea otters from our balcony. The complimentary continental room service breakfast was great, which we also enjoyed on our balcony. The hotel was perfectly located at the end of Cannery Row, with a view of the ocean. We woke up to watch sea otters playing in the surf. It was easy walking distance to the Aquarium, shopping and dining. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable and clean. Room was big and the bathroom was very modern. Everything was perfectly clean. Great view of the water from the room and our sweet little balcony. Complementary breakfast is also brought to your room and the noon checkout allowed for a leisurely morning in town before we had to leave. Very nice hotel.....great location - can walk to local restaurants. Free breakfast was a nice surprise as was the turn down service....fresh baked cookies in the lobby a nice touch. I stayed here while attending a conference at the conference center. It was a nice 15 walk along the sea front to the conference. The room was wonderful; bed was comfortable, bathroom was exceptionally nice, binoculars were a thoughtful touch. Falling asleep listening to the waves crash below each night was very restful. I appreciated having a fridge […] in the room to keep drinks and healthy snacks. Staff were wonderful and very helpful. My only quibble is that the corridor upstairs and elevator looked a little worn, but don't let that put you off. The hotel was excellent. The location was perfect at cannery row, right next to the beach. The hot tubs were great and they were empty. I enjoyed having the continental breakfast on my balcony too. The only issue was some of the parking spots were difficult to get in and out of but I have a large car. I would definetly stay here again.

This is a fabulous hotel...get an ocean front room...you can sleep with doors open all night to hear the waves crashing. The breakfast is light...but included in your stay...very nice staff...and comfortable bed. We loved it!

This was our second stay, Rooms either overlook the Coast Guard Jetty, or the more expensive ones face right out into the bay. 10 minute walk or 3 minute bike ride to the Aquarium, bike/walking path 30 sec away. We would return with no second thoughts.

Nice hotel with great views. Check in was clumsy as their was confusion about the availability of the room and we were inconvenienced as a result. Parking fee of $13 per night is a bit unreasonable.
