This was our first stay at the Strasburg Inn/Creamery (our 3rd B&B). What a pleasant experience! It was a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Jody the innkeeper was wonderful (even treated my husband and I to a little tour after most guests had checked out), Linda was a hoot :) and Robin the manager (?) was so nice and a good cook too. Breakfast was great (no skimpy continental breakfast here!!) and treating yourself to the ice cream is a must. Enjoyed kicking my feet up in the sitting room with a good book. Our room was very clean (Rm 5), rated it a 4 though as it was a little cramped. Loved listening to the horses clip-clopping along and there was a nice variety of little shops within walking distance. And if you're in the mood for pizza, Pizza City is real close...Mmmm...delicious. Lancaster is about 3-4 miles away for those wanting to spend that money that's burning a hole in their pockets. There are two outlets and lots of shops for those who love country furniture/décor (Kings Country Impressions, The Candle Barn to name two personal favorites). This inn came highly recommended by family and friends. The time seemed to fly, wasn't ready to leave but, I'm sure we'll be back. Thanks Jody, Linda and Robin for being such gracious hosts. :)

We attended a conference in New Holland and this hotel was perfect to rest after a long day! Our king studio had everything we needed. The location next to Applebees is so convenient for a nightcap! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. If we come for a vacation to the Lancaster area, we will stay here again! You can always trust the quality of a Hampton Inn.

I went with friends to this special weekend but unfortunatly not everything was as I expected. we booked four bedroom. Two of the rooms were not so clean but it was ok. But the other two were really in bad condition. Red Roof was clean and friendly service. The bed linens did not stay on the bed. A fitted sheet that did not fit right, kept slipping off corners. Towels could have been a little thicker, very thin. Breakfast was not one of the best, I have had a lot more variety at other hotels. All in all the hotel was nice for the price.

Motel appearance was nice and clean! the breakfast was nice and abundance of food, waffles, fruit, muffins, and breakfast gravy. The motel hallway was noisy and you hear everyone closing their doors. the tv next door was on all night and we could hear it through our wall! Towels were like sand paper and very rough. Given the brand name, we expected more from this hotel. The sheets were dingy giving the appearance of being unclean, but there was no smell. The towels were rough on the skin (we do not have sensitive skin)! The customer service definitely needs improvement. Upon check-in, the door was open. I called to the front desk to report this and the front desk […] said he would call back but never did. The housekeeper did show up, but did not speak English and it was difficult to communicate with her as to why the door was open. The bathroom could have been cleaner. More than half the tv channels didn't work or have sound. The breakfast is coffee and a mini muffin... So plan on going out. I had a good night's sleep and was close to where I needed to be. Just don't go in with high expectations.

We were quite disappointed in our trip this time at the Red Roof Inn of Lancaster. We always book rooms with king beds just because that is what we are use to and comfortable with. Much to our surprise when we arrive, we are told they had to switch our room ( because of plumbing problems)to a double bed room with only full size beds, not queen but full […] size. A very friendly, helpful staff could not offset the poor quality of the bed. It was advertised as a King, which it was not. The bed was also past it's usefulness with two large canyons that were difficult to escape. The HVAC unit was very noisy and also probably quite old. Unfortunately, we will not be staying at this hotel in the future.

We had a problem that was not caused by the hotel. We are two senior women who travel together frequently. We were awakened at 2:30 am by two people screaming and fighting outside our door. One of them pounded on our door and shook the whole room and said he was going to get his gun! They then went upstairs and began to fight again (unfortunately their […] room was right above ours). Again, our walls shook with the fighting, then it became quiet but we were both well beyond sleep for the rest of the night. I learned from the hotel staff that the police had been called and both had been arrested, We were impressed by how quickly the hotel acted to resolve the situation. We will stay with them again.
