Red Roof Inn Lancaster

We had a problem that was not caused by the hotel. We are two senior women who travel together frequently. We were awakened at 2:30 am by two people screaming and fighting outside our door. One of them pounded on our door and shook the whole room and said he was going to get his gun! They then went upstairs and began to fight again (unfortunately their […] room was right above ours). Again, our walls shook with the fighting, then it became quiet but we were both well beyond sleep for the rest of the night. I learned from the hotel staff that the police had been called and both had been arrested, We were impressed by how quickly the hotel acted to resolve the situation. We will stay with them again. When my wife and I arrived, the room seemed ok at first but as we soon found out it was not. The toilet had a mark on the back of the seat and upon further inspection urine was found on the front of the seat. The personnel at the front desk came up and cleaned the seat, but the mark on the back of the seat remained. The bathroom itself was very small, […] with the door right next to the toilet meaning that for two people to be in the bathroom at the same time was near impossible. The bathroom door also had a mark on the end near the latch that I believe was feces, though I am not sure. Since we had already paid, we stayed the two nights but certainly looked forward to getting home. The bed was ok, though my back is still sore as of this writing. The continental breakfast was ok - I've had better. The seating for the breakfast was not adequate with chairs and tables put very close together. The location was great with minutes to the outlets and local restaurants. Though I would return to the area, I would not return to this hotel and would highly recommend that others stay away as well. When my wife & I entered our room we noticed right away that the trash cans in the room had not been emptied, there were no towels, soap, or washcloths in the bathroom and there was water all over the bathroom floor. The room was dirty. There was dried urine on the toilet seat and bowl, The guest attendendant came and cleaned it for us but eww gross. The bathroom faucet had not been cleaned and had dried toothpaste from the previous guest on it. Visable dirt on walls, headboards and tv stand dusty. This is a motel, not a hotel which was unclear when I booked. The room was pretty clean and had a flat screen TV. It's right next to Texas Road House which was convenient for dinner. It was a decent place to stay for the price but nothing spectacular.

The Red Roof Lancaster was a very nice, clean and quiet hotel. For the cost, I was more than pleased with the amenities - flat screen tv, free wifi - but the towels and washclothes could use a good bleaching! All in all, excellent low cost hotel, I will stay here the next trip to Lancaster. It is within walking distance to an Applebees, Texas Roadhouse […] and a short drive to the Tanger Outlets and all kinds of shopping venues. Read more

This hotel served out needs perfectly. It was centrally located between both sets of outlets. There were plenty of places to eat close by. Breakfast fed my kids just fine. We were able to drive anywhere we needed from this location. Would stay here again.

Hard mattresses. "Soft" water from water softener made soap removal difficult during showering. Towels & washcloths could use fabric softener. Tiny bars of soap for bathing. There are other hotels in the area that offer a much better stay for the same price.

The room and hotel were generally okay -- especially considering the price. But the bathroom cleanliness was a real disappointment. There was built-up soap scum in the tub, and a long dark hair left over from a previous occupant. Other than that, the rest of the room seemed clean, and amenities were more than we expected.

Our stay was really very good, however, we had booked a room with a king size bed when we made the reservation. When we got to the hotel, the desk clerk had trouble finding our reservation and when he did find it, he then told us they had given our room with the king size bed to someone else because for some odd reason, they did not see our reservation. […] So he said he could move people around that had already checked in, but of course, we didn't want to make anyone have to pack their stuff back up and haul it off to another room, so we took what was available, a room with 2 double beds. Beds uncomfortable/too hard causing back discomfort. Bathroom tub did not appear to have been scrubbed well, marks remained on tub surface. TV issues with audio. Room/access pass key not always working requiring guest to goto main desk to have it reset. This was an issue with prior guests that we overheard as we checked in.
