the room was beautiful the view was beautiful, however, the staff was unsure as to if the breakfast buffet was running I was told 3 different answers. And no one told me when I book this room that the indoor water park was closed..also, I have no idea why I had to pay a resort fee if the indoor water park was closed.. Considering that's why it was a resort.

We certainly regret if you felt like our staff was not informative during your stay, which is certainly not the way we want our guests to fee. We also regret that at the time our booking we failed to inform you that our waterpark was closed during that week for its yearly maintenance. Please keep in mind the resort fees covers local calls, in room safes, Wi-fi access and fitness center however; it does not cover the water park entrance, as it is a separate fee. We only vaguely knew about this property but when looking online it seem to have all the amenities that we were looking for. My wife and I were only staying 1 night but wanted a room with a fireplace, and a view. Man were we blown away. The property is relatively new compared with some of the other hotels in Gatlinburg that are tired and need of updating. We enjoyed the giant king size room, which was more like a large 1 bedroom apartment. Not only did the room have a fireplace and a view but it came with a Jacuzzi tub in the bedroom and a full kitchen as well. Every thing was great and the staff was very welcoming and friendly from the time we checked in and even when I called guest services. We are planning to stay again!

Beautiful town and resort. Very friendly crew with great service. The waterpark, however, is not included and not worth the price per day. Would be more reasonable if the price was for the duration of the stay. Every other aspect of the resort was incredible!

This was the first time I've been to Gatlinburg in 15 years. I had a great experience here. It's away from the RIDICULOUS madness of Pigeon Forge, and above the Gatlinburg fun. Nice, clean place---great service---will go there again, if I'm ever back in the area.

Everything was great except for one things. The bathroom has a jacuzzi tub but the water doesn't stay hot long enough for you to fill the tub up. By the time the tub gets halfway full the hot water has run out. Shouldn't have the jacuzzi tub in there if you can't use it.

We switched rooms 4times in two days. The first room the hot water didn't work in the bath tub. We had to move at 10pm at night with 3 small kids. The second room no hot water in the shower. The 3rd room was was too small and it was suppose to be a upgrade. The 4th was a nice room but there was wasp flying around and the toilet didn't work. The staff was nice but I'll never go back there again after this trip.

This resort was the very best. We have been going to Gatlinburg for many years and this is the first time we have ever used our timeshare week for this resort. Hands down this resort is top-notch. There is no comparison between Westgate and all the others we have used in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. From check in to check out everything was great and the staff extremely nice and helpful. We did not expect it to be as nice as it was, you have to stay here! It is amazing, we will definitely be back in a couple of months they treat you with lots of respect. I asked if they had a fireplace in the room which the room we had did not but they upgraded us a room with a fireplace, they have a restaurant bar grocery store and everything you need a water park for the kids....it's like your own mini cabin, everything was perfect and had everything we needed! Excellent place you have to experience!

The A/C unit didn't seem to work properly. I could not get the A/C to turn on but could use the fan and that seems to help. It would've been better if there was a thermostat that could be controlled. But overall the room was great and the beds were very comfortable.

The only problem I had was nothing really worked. DVD player didn't work, the pans were dirty, our shower head was messed up, and construction was going on every morning at 6am. But besides that, it was gorgeous and the staff was soooo sweet and gave us free cookies and popcorn!

I think it was over priced! If you want actually a view you have to ask in the " Special note " area because what you see on the pictures is not real! We had a view one side to a backyard the other side the top of the neighbor roof. What the "live camera" show on the ski and snowboard area is fake(!) .The water in the indoor pool lazy river is ICE COLD!! The good thing is the apartment was so much smaller then look like on the pictures but after all it was very clean !

Check in took over 30 minutes while staff checked if "room was clear." We had a small first floor room in the 3000 building. Only one small window in bedroom, very minimal parking at the building compounded by construction going on. It was adequate but certainly high priced and nothing memorable, it was just a room. In the check in lobby, the small store, fireplace and game tables, and smokehouse restaurant were nice spaces.

The hotel was ok. Check-in was a complete circus. Our check-in time was at 4pm and they didn't have our room ready until 6pm. They upgraded our room (i guess because of the 2 hour delay - which was nice) but the staff was NOT very friendly or helpful. The room was nice but not very inviting. And its the first hotel i've been to where they don't provide complimentary soaps, coffee, etc. Instead they have the "marketplace" where you have to buy everything at a ridiculous price. The only saving grace about this hotel is the awesome waterpark. The kids loved it & I might consider going again for that reason only.

My mom and I decided to spend our Christmas away this year. I was disappointed by the fact that upon arrival at Westgate we were promised that all services at the resort would be available over the holiday. However, when we tried going to the dining areas they were not open. We couldn't get any of them to answer the phones for take out or delivery. The "pets are welcome" policy is very deceiving! I didn't see anywhere on the website or wasn't told at the time of making reservations that there was a NON-REFUNDABLE $175 pet fee on top of the $100 refundable deposit (which is only $75 without a pet). When we checked in the first question they asked was whether we had a pet or not. Then told us about the extra fee. At that point we were there with our dog and didn't have any other choice but to pay. Also, the rooms are much smaller than the pictures on the website show and so are the T.V.s. Location is actually between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, so you have to drive to any activity that is not onsite.

Our pet policy is located on our website there is a nonrefundable cleaning fee of $170 and a refundable deposit of $100. If you do not bring a pet our standard security deposit is $50 which is refundable. On the other hand, during holiday season our Restaurants were open as well as the market place. We enjoyed our 3 nights + New years eve . The cabins and studio rooms are great. I wish i. The cabins they would put a stove and more kitchen equipment as they have at the studio bigger rooms. Otherwise - amazing plAce, specially with kids.

Location is great and the view of the mountain is breathtaking. All of the staff are very friendly and accommodating. There's an indoor waterpark that looks so much fun but we run out of time so many things to do. Great place for a family!!!

Room was to small for 3 people. No room to open the sofa bed. If you open it no room to walk or can't open the minibar or do anything. Bed and pillows uncomfortable. Staff didn't help with luggage. Breackfast buffet bad and not variety. Tv control remote didn't work. Total disaster.

While the hotel was rated decent upon check in I had begun to see that I was in for a 'treat'......the check in person was more concerned about the activities of her fellow co-worker than checking me in even after I had made it clear I was in a rush to make the parade. The front desk then 'hands me off' to the bellman who will not release my key until he gives me the 'spill' about the hotel, I expressed my disinterest. He then proceeds to forward me to another bellman who will 'show me to my room', well I have enough intellect to follow signs to reach my room, js. Finally upon reaching my room I found it outdated but very clean. The 'highlight' of the stay was that for 2 night I got to hear EVERYTHING that went on outside, or passed by, my room. I could hear the room next door sneeze, the room on the other side proceeded to go in/out until about 1am, the sneezer room proceeded to talk/laugh until about 2am, and one night someone decided to do laundry at 1:30am (its a shared amenity). I really don't hold the other occupants accountable because of paper thin walls. Won't be back.

Nice. The hotel was pretty close to pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. Everything cost extra like the water park. I thought that should be included for the price of the hotel. Beds were comfortable. Didn't think we should need to gather the towels and linens and put them outside the door or empty all of the trash cans for the price we paid. We did enjoy having a kitchen since there was no complimentary breakfast. There were 5 of us so having the 2 full beds and pull out couch with two bathrooms and a kitchen came in handy. I will probably go back to the Park Vista on our next visit because the pools and water slide are nice and are included and the trolleys run more regular to pick you up

we had a bad time because we were at first floor and somebody at second floor woke up 5:30AM everyday and started moving furniture, flushing many times and the noise was terrible! We asked for room cleaning and somebody showed up just to collect the trash, when I complained; they said "it is our service! " wow just like that... the water park was not included... not worthy for the price...

NOT a romantic getaway. Shower and fireplace was nice. A little pricey for a room view of construction. You cannot pick your room location. Neighbors were loud and partying for 3 of the 4 nights. Dishes were dirty. Tv's could be bigger. No wifi- major disappointment!

Decent place, but a bit money-grubbing. The water park is pricey, and an adult is required to be in the water with kids 10 and under at all times. My 8 yr old is a fish with way more energy than me, so that was a problem, especially since I didn't plan on swimming or paying for myself. Nowhere to sit either since people's stuff was on all the chairs because the $10 rental lockers remain locked. Arcade was way over-priced, and prize games are no-win by design. No late check-out. On-site store was well stocked with basics, which was convenient.

The resort is beautiful and our room was very charming. Separate bedroom/ living room worked out great as my husband is an early riser. LOVED the fireplace (we went in November and had chilly mornings). Very charming room and had everything we needed.

The room was fine, and even surprised us to find a FP & oversized whirlpool tub. Spacious...so all that was more than we expected. Couple of things about the room, carpet in Bedroom where carpet meets the tile was unraveling, looked pretty worn. The only other unpleasant couple of incidences was the neighbors upstairs were extremely loud...their chairs scraped across the tile, they walked heavy, they dropped stuff...extremely loud & rude coming & leaving their space. Don';t know if there could be away to have had more "quieting/insulation" between floors. The 1 thing that could have been a disaster, but the gentleman at the front desk when we checked in, fixed it right away...they didn't have our reservation from Expedia. Had this been a very busy time of season (even though it sure seemed packed) that could have been a mess. So whoever or whatever is in charge of insuring reservations are secure, someone may need to check on that one. For the most part we had a nice stay & the employees were very nice.

It was nice; however, the resort is overpriced. As a paying customer, my kids should have been allowed to use the Water Park free of charge. *Beware; it is $18.00 a person!!! Try and tell your kiddos no, when the "super nice, super big" Water Park is right in the front of the resort!

Upon arrival the guest services associates made the resort seem extremely appealing talking about the waterpark, and nightly get togethers. The room appeared very nice. Once settled in we found a dead roach stuck to the "clean" bathroom mat, dried contacts from the previous guest on the kitchen counter and the garbage disposal had a very bad smell coming from it. The bed was not comfortable either. After reading the broshures we were given I found there were extra charges if hotel guest want to use the waterpark or partake in any other activity on property. I will not be back nor would I recomend this place to friends or family.

It was cute, but I wasnt aware the indoor Waterpark was $18/person extra. They told me the free outdoor pools were heated but it was 37 degrees out when we got there. Yeah, no thanks. We had a third floor walk up, and it was like being in grandma's loft. But it was clean, and the people were friendly. I don't recommend the restaurant though. The $25 steak was mostly gristle and when I complained to the manager he just blamed it on the cut. So I had a $25 monkey dish of mac and cheese. Oh well.

This has been our 4th time staying at this resort. We never had any issues however this time was just a stopping point wish seemed to one of the wise this road trip. The reasoning behind this is due to all of the noise. Seemed that the main building with the studios weren't built with any attempt to weed out noise. So for the money of a one night trip was not with it at all!

Away from the traffic, lights, & crowds of Gatlinburg. Very convenient access to Gatlinburg Bypass to reach Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Park's Welcome Center is nearby. Very comfortable king bed. No noise from surrounding rooms. Woods come right up to the balcony.

I travel a lot, and have stayed at several other hotels & resorts, throughout the years. This was the worst experience ive ever had. They border false advertisement. Its not a convienient set up. No basic room ammeneties. Poor customer service. Mold & hair in bathroom. I asked to soeak to a manager and was denied access. It is a time share resort, so im sure the "owners" have may better rooms. Ours was advertised with views of the mountains, and they put us in a congested room, lower level; ie:basement.

Spent a family weekend there in mid October. We had booked a "One Bedroom Deluxe King Bed Villa" and that was very nice with an open kitchen and living room area, a separate bedroom and a nice bathroom. Living room had a gas fireplace, a large TV and a separate dining area. There was also a small balcony. The hotel itself has a fairly nice restaurant although it seemed very small compared to the number of rooms and villas in the hotel. We had to wait for a table overtime we went there. The hotel also had a water play land which was very nice. All in all a very good place to stay. We will for sure come back.
