"close to sights/shopping"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We loved it - great location, staff and breakfast. Lovely, large second floor room.
"Comfort and a warm fireplace"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We had been having a lot of rain and really just wanted to go home! But upon checking into The Hotel, we were so comforted by the staff, especially Tasha and her tour of the lovely amenities. She served us drinks and made us comfortable in front of the warm fireplace and we said "Ahhh". The room was large with a lovely view, the bed very comfortable and the dinner superb. The staff did everything they could to make our stay wonderful, thanks, we'll be back!
"Nice Place"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Hotel was clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi was free in the lobby. It was a short walk from where the airport bus dropped us off and shopping/restaurants. Most of the tourist spots are a bit farther, but still very walkable.
"Good Value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Ardmore is a clean, modern hotel that has power showers and staff that are friendly. The food served is well prepared and affordable. For the money it can't be beat, but if you want nice pillows, soft towels& cozy bedding then you should spend the extra money to get them. Those of us who prefer value over the little "extras" would love this hotel. The 15 minute bus ride into downtown wasn't bad unless you JUST missed the bus and have to wait another twenty minutes to get on. It is a great location for a first night into Dublin or your last because it is only 15 minutes to the airport!
"Wonderful hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The westbury is a great hotel, very clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to travel to Dublin soon!

Leafy Ballsbridge is a quiet and exclusive residential area, a 20-30 minute walk into town (served by frequent buses). The Grand Canal flows through it, and while much of this waterway is less than grand, there is a pleasant stretch near the Richmond Street bridge with canal-side pubs. George Bernard Shaw’s birthplace is a popular neighbouring attraction.

Rooms are small but nice, great location and free parking are a big plus. Staff very pleasing and helpful...It would have been nice to have the breakfast included in the price instead of an additional charge. We liked this hotel

With all the options to stay at other locations of similar ratings, Pembroke stood above the rest!
"Not a chain hotel"
This property is an excellent example of a fine, high quality independent hotel. Start with the keys, or rather the unique key fobs. They are large, brass and very uncomfortable to attempt to carry in a pocket. They force one to have regular contact with the front desk staff, which is nice, because so is the staff. The staff is friendly, helpful and […] concerned for the guests comfort. The rooms are cozy, but that is to be expected in a European country. The baths are up to international standards and sensibilities. The room had a small television mounted to the wall. Though people do not generally stay in hotels to watch the telly, a newer, larger flat panel TV would make the room perfect. The small and simple breakfast room belies the treats that await. The full breakfast is good. The continental breakfast is more than satisfactory. I am not positive, but it appears that all baked items are done so on premises. I am positive that they are excellent. The small larder off the lobby is the treat not to be missed. In a small tin at the end of the counter are cookies, or biscuits, as you prefer. They are light, buttery, sweet and absolutely irresistible. The neighborhoods adjoining this property are real Dublin, not tourist Dublin. Sit in the pubs and listen to sounds of Dubliners, not Americans on holiday. Be aware, the neighborhood does not open for business on Sunday until 10:00 AM. This property is the small hotel that should be sold out months in advance if is not already. Do not miss the gem of the Emrald Isle. Read more

"Great stay"
My husband and I stayed at the Pembroke Town House for two nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean and both the reception area and our room was lovely. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel was approximately a 15 minute walk to the city centre and was on a lovely […] road with quite a number of cafes and restaurants just a little further down it. The best part about this hotel was the larder that you could help yourself to tea and coffee from whenever you wanted. The worst part was the breakfast. Although it was quite tasty, it was definitely not worth the money. We would love to stay at this hotel again. Read more

"Don't stay at this hotel if you are a tourist"
The hotel is very far from the city centre. About 20 mins walk at least. The shops and restaurants near the hotel are all very expensive. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in and after walking all day, made sure both me and my partner had bad back ache.
Thank you for taking the time to forward your comments. We are sorry to hear that you felt Dublin is expensive and you did not sleep well. Our beds are orthopedic mattresses, so quite hard - I am sorry they did not suit you. We take all our customers comments very seriously and we will consider that for the future.

Pretty place and very pleasent location, quiet during the night; 20 minutes walk from city centre. You can find a place for dinner nearby if you want to. Very comfortable bed Breakfast buffet rather poor and carpet didn't get hoovered ( but bathroom very clean) . More like a good 3 stars than a 4.
Thank you for taking the time to write on we really appreciate that you added your comments. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay here with us. We appreciate your comments and have looked into them and our new chef has made some changes with the breakfast buffet. Hopefully, we will get to meet you again some day.

"Pembroke Townhouse Ballsbridge Dublin"
The location of this 'hotel' is ideal for Dublin City Centre and South Dublin areas.I think it is more like a private 'club'. Very discrete and friendly. With excellent secure car parking at the rear. I am not a fanatical walking person, however Dublin City Centre, Grafton St, St Stephen's Green, River Liffey are all within easy reach. RDS and Landsdowne […] minutes away. Easy access from M50 and Dublin Airport. Many very good eating houses if you turn right towards city or left towards Ballsbridge, from front of building. Loads of public transport, buses, pass by regularly at junction nearby. DART railway 5 minutes walk. Very enjoyable stay. Read more

1 response by Pembroke Townhouse"just what we were looking for"
My wife and I stayed here to attend a concert in a nearby venue - the RDS Dublin. The staff were very friendly and willing to oblige. the 24-hour secure entrance, by buzzser, to the car park was very reassuring. The hotel, really a guesthouse, is convenient to the city centre, a 25 minute walk or 10 minutes by bus, which made it ideal for us. The […] notice in your room that complimentary tea and cookies are available 24 hours in the lobby sounds better than it is; the makings are in a cramped little alcove and the cookies are really thin crispy affairs that wouldn't satisfy anyone but a small bird. However, a cup of tea or coffee is always welcome. Overall, good, clean, friendly - ideal for a night or two but no longer. Don't take a basement room - too stuffy and lots of service noises. Pembroke Town House is a great place to stay in Dublin. It has charm, is very well run, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend it to anyone.

"Pembroke house dublin"
Very nice and completely as expected for price. Convenient location, helpful staff and simple yet clean rooms. Good breakfast. Consistent with moderate priced suburban hotel. I would stay there again.
"Pembroke Townhouse - Dublin 4"
A really nice area, close to new Aviva Stadium (previously Landsdowne Road Rugby Ground), many good restaurants close by, city centre 20 mins walk to St Stephens Green. Room was small though, 215, directly behind where Reception is located and somewhat noisy due proximity to reception, and being able to hear folk checking in and out, and staff conversing […] on the telephone, etc. there was no shower gel or shampoo in our room, however reception made these available readily... tea making facilities and really nice shortbread and bottles of wine/beer, available to buy close to reception area... generally really nice place to stay. "Perfect for the price"
The Pembroke Townhouse was a quaint and well maintained hotel in a good area of Dublin. My fiance and I were attending a Concert at the O2 and this was the ideal place for an overnight stay. Lacks a bar which is a shame, but there are plenty nearby. Very clean and comfortable, and extremely reasonably priced.
"Convenient, comfortable and good value"
We stayed for one night on a holiday weekend. The staff were very helpful and flexible. We made full use of the free and very convenient free parking so that we could walk (5 mins) to the train station nearby. Shower was excessively powerful and hard to control. Beds very comfortable. Overall a good choice.
"Pembroke Townhouse in Dublin, Delightful."
We spent three days in dublin at the Pembroke, and found it to be a delightful Hotel, check in was feiendly and efficient, the room although some what small was very clean and comfortable. Lounge area was nice and comfortable, something of a gathering place for guests, and an interesting place to have a glass of wine and meet other travellers from different […] places Location was a bit of a walk to the Grafton street area, but no too bad. We found this hotel to be a good value for Dublin, having visited the city on several other trips. Read more
"Pembrooke Toen House - Dublin"
The hotel does not have a bar. No coffee making facilities in the room. Not too impressed with breakfast although it was reduced from 15 euros to 10. If you have a room on the top floor, as we did, it is not made up until after 3 PM.
"Pembroke Townhouse Hotel in Dublin - friendly"
This is a small, affordable hotel in a safe area of Dublin -- rich in choice for restaurants, and about a 25-min. walk to the downtown. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable, if a bit small, and the downstairs lounge is a comfy spot to share a glass of wine with other guests. There is an additional charge for breakfast, […] but the choices are extensive, and the food is very good. An excellent place to stay in a wonderful city! Read more
The hotel was o.k we ,spend 2 nigth, 2 couples The reception was very helpful. the location to the city center is not so close, but you can take a taxi ( 4 euro)
Thank you for writing a review. It is great to hear that you enjoyed your stay and that you felt the reception staff helpful, I will be sure to pass that on to the team. I hope we get to welcome you to Pembroke Townhouse on another occasion.

Read more

"Fint men usentralt"
Read more
"Redelijk Hotel Dublin"
"Pembroke Townhouse"
I stayed at this hotel for one night. My first impression was really good, its neat and clean. Light and welcoming. Its pretty close to the trainstation and St Stephen's Green, Grafton street etc. The staff was very helpfull and nice. When Im coming back to Dublin this is the hotel where I'll be staying :)
Read more
"sistemazione confortevole e comoda localizzazione"
