We enjoyed our stay here. Little small but well kept. Convenient walk to main street shops and restaurants.
"Good place to make your base for a few days..."Reviewed by Daniel W. of "Tampa, FL" on Apr 7, 2012
I only stayed here one night, but this would be a great place to bring a family, and stay for several days. The 2-bedroom condo was clean and comfortable, loved the gas fireplace, comfortable bed, and the kitchen was handy. Access to the units is a little inconvenient -- lots of steps to go up and down, especially if you're on the back side. But the location is great, just outside Banff, and just a 3 minute drive to Canmore.
"Comfortable and convenient"Reviewed by Ellen K of "British Columbia" on Mar 21, 2012
The room was spacious and comfortable with a sitting space in addition to the bed. The hotel is within easy walking distance of shopping, restaurants, etc. Only complaints: 1) Early wake up call not received as requested for first morning (good thing I was up already) 2) Very noisy kids running in the hallway the first night 3) Radio came on early on second morning (I did not set it) I would stay here again.

t think for the price I don't think you can beat the place. Yes its a bit dated etc and parking could be tight (especially if those people with big trucks who can't park!!). If you want a cheap hotel its for you, if not, then pay more and go elseware.

Our stay was very pleasant an comfortable, and all of the staff were amazing. We had the best time in the bar with our sever who we made cry as she was laughing soo hard!! The menue was exquisite and our server, Julia, treated us like royalty! Our favourite dessert was some frozen cheese cake balls, twice!!! "To die for" is all I can say about that. I would highly recommend staying there as you are only minutes from Banff.

"Perfectly located Rundlestone Hotel is a must stay"
The hotel was beautiful, friendly staff and the room accomodations were a delight. You can't go wrong with a jacuzzi and a fireplace. The location is in the heart of the main street with shopping and restaurants and pubs within walking distance.

Not at all what I expected. Expected something nicer. Entire hotel needs updating. Beds are very hard. Pool was stained or dirty, but hotel seemed generally clean. Breakfast in restaurant was good. Staff was helpful but only one person on duty at a time.
"Rundlestone in Banff - Very nice"
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was pleasant and very quiet. Even though our room faced the street, we never heard a sound. The little balcony was a quaint place to be in the morning and evening.
"Rundlestone Lodge, Banff ,Canada"
Very courteous check in staff! Good walk to the downtown area.
Great stay.. Staff was helpful. Room with loft and kitchenette was very spacious and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

"Front Desk Staff is Amazing"
The hotel was very convenient and the staff at the front desk were amazing. Michael Hall at the front desk went beyond just giving us info, he gave us true opinions and an insiders advice.
Hotel is too far from downtown. It's a 20 minute walk to downtown.
"Rundlestone Lodge - nice hotel, good people"
No tricks with the pricing - underground parking is free and phone calls from the room are cheap. The facility is very nice. The only complaint is that the room smelt a bit odd and we couldn't get the wireless internet to work. (I had to use a nearby property's service instead.) Where the hotel excelled was the front-desk service. The same lady was […] there throughout my stay. When I locked the key in my rental car, and worked through a very difficult experience over a two-hour period trying to get service, she was extremely helpful. She offered us a room to wait in (we declined) and fielded a series of calls from the incompetent rental car company without complaint. I recommend the property without reservation! Read more
"Rundlestone Lodge- Nice Place, Good Deal"
This hotel was clean, nice and the staff was great. It was warm, cozy, nicely furnished and was basically what we were looking for while staying in the Canadian Rockies. The hotel has a nice and clean pool area, complete with a large pool, a jacuzzi that has a partial mountain view, and windows that overlook a park with trees. We could only get a room […] with a Queen sized bed (instead of a King sized bed), but the bed we got was cozy. The general view from the hotel wasn't spectacular, but we got to see the scenery driving around, and this hotel was way cheaper than the places with fabulous views from the rooms. The most significant drawback of this hotel is that it is "in town", but it's about 1-1/2 miles from the downtown area. We wanted to do a touristy dining out/shopping day and the hotel wasn't within walking distance of the "main drag" with all of the shops. Once again though, the prices of the places right near the shopping area were more expensive, so I felt like we got a good deal for our money. Read more

"Nice value"
We stayed four nights in one room and another night later on. The rooms were large and pleasant, if somewhat old in decor. But two comfy reading chairs and a large updated bathroom were very nice. Rooms were generally quiet, but the A/C was noisy in the first room. Parking under the hotel was plentiful and convenient. Desk staff were helpful and friendly. […] The in-house restaurant has mixed reviews here, but our three meals were good, if not cheap. The location is near the end of the Banff Ave. motel strip, but it's a nice neighborhood about a mile from the town center. Read more

"acceptable"
in quiet location, good service, pleasant staff; limited breakfast options for people with specific dietary needs (albeit staff tried their best); poor free internet connection
"Very nice hotel"
We had a pleasant stay. The desk staff were very helpful in suggestions for dining and sightseeing. Our room did not have a refrigerator, but when we asked if they had one available we were provided one for a nominal fee for the entire 3-day stay. Also for a non coffee drinker, they provided an electric tea kettle to boil water. Very quiet and clea […] n. Read more
"Good hotel, needs some improvement."
The restaurant was closed for renovations. We were not aware of this before we arrived. Internet service failed on the last day of a four day stay. No business, computer services such as printing were provided by the hotel. Hotel is nice and well appointed but a bit out of the center of town, too far to walk easily. Pleasant stay but not perfect. There […] are better choices closer in town. Read more
"Excellent Hotel, close to everything in Banff"
It was an excellent stay, it had everything we needed and had zero complaints at all. All the staff was super friendly and helpful. The hot tub was a nice relaxing place to hang out and everything worked just fine.
My fiancé and I enjoyed this hotel very much. Comfy beds and nice atmosphere

"Rundlestone"
The Rundlestone is a great bang for your buck, offering quality rooms at great prices. We were very satisfied with our stay and would definetly stay here again.
"in the main ave of town"
the hotel was beyond our expectations
"Satisfied"
Good experience. The staff were great and helpful.
"Great option a short walk from small downtown"
Great breakfasts. I had to upgrade to get out of a room that had a steady mechanical noise.
"Rundlestone"
good, affordable hotel, not much to say other than that. A bit dated, and the room was a non-smoking, but you could tell it was previously a smoking room. If you are not fussy and want a fairly good rate, you won't be disappointed.
"All was good at Rundlestone Lodge"
like many of the places along the main street in to Banff, this hotel is set up and located ideally for the persons planning to explore Banff and its surreounds for several days. Room was pretty good with a simple kitchette and an excellent bed. Comfy sofa and good TV services. Free undercover secure parking was excellent and even the internal restaraunt […] provided an excellent dining option. Read more

Clean and easy access to ski hills.Comfortable beds and lots of room.Ski and snowboard lockup which is nice and easily accesssible.Underground parking will not take vehicles over 6'4".Good parking for vehicles on street.Clean pool and hot tub area.
Smoke from cigarette smoke outside hotel leaks into bedroom. Morning coffee thermos in the main foyer would be great. Very helpful staff.
"Rundlestone Lodge in Banff"
It was a great hotel to stay at with everything you need. Stayed in the room facing the pool which had been recently updated. Bed was a bit hard!! Only thing was you couldn't open the window and found it stuffy. Next time I'd ask for one with an outside window!!!!
"overall pretty good"
the staff were friendly, room was cozy. our room was overlooking the pool and out curtains must have been broken because they didn't close. So we watched swimmers walk past our room until the pool closed at 10:30. I'm sure they would have fixed it if we had of call the front dest but we didnt bother. bed was not very comfortable for us, too hard
"Bann in spring"
Great value, would stay again .... booking thre HOTELS.COM though.
"Rundlestone- Very cozy and clean!"
We splurged and got the jacuzzi/fireplace room. If you can do so, I highly suggest it! The room was very clean and the real fire place made us feel very cozy and at home. The jacuzzi tub was a nice treat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and all of the staff were very friendly. Our breakfast the next morning at the hotel restaurant was delicious […] :) The only down side is I would say the distance from the hotel to down town. It isn't very close to the restaurants, shopping and other amenities. It is one of the first hotels when you come in to town on Banff Ave. Read more

"rundlestone lodge hotel in banff"
The hotel was very nice. Only problem was the mattress on our bed was rock hard. We had a really rough sleep and woke up sore in the morning because the bed was so uncomfortable. Chances are I wouldn't stay at this hotel again because we had such a rough sleep.

"Hotel Rundlestone in Banff, AB"
It was nice 2 night stay. Its really like 5 minutes walk to downtown and bus stop right beside the hotel! Swimming pool and hot tube were perfect. Good stay for good money. I would recommend this hotel for sure.
"Rundlestone Lodge in Banff"
Stayed for a weekend away, and we stayed here for two nights. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly. The only ever so slight complaint, is that it's a little bit far from downtown for walking. If you call a 15 minute walk far. Other then that we had a great stay, and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Rundlestone Lodge"
4 plus star rating from my perspective. Very clean, elegant and provides the extra amenities. Just a brisk walk from the main townsite of Banff but some excellent restaurants just a 5 minute walk from the hotel if you dont want to go downtown. I love the indoor heated parking for those cold nights. Extremely quiet hotel in a quiet area although it was […] the off season..well recommended. Read more
"Rundlestone Lodge Banff"
This hotel is nice and situated right beside a public kids park for all those families. We rented a jucuzzi suite with a wood burning fire place. The tub was nice but the fireplace we had issues with. The fireplace has a very detailed instruction sheet when starting and even when followed accurately, there was a ton of smoke let into the room. I believe […] the drafting of the fireplace is not that great and we returned with all of our clothes smelling of smoke! The room was clean but even when entering the first day we smellled the smoke! I would think that this is a common problem! Read more
"Pleasant, older hotel, father from shopping area"
Pro's - Great pillows - Flat screen T.V - DVD player - Very clean - Pleasant service - Good restaurant inside - Underground parking - Nice pool Con's - Pretty hard bed, although I never woke with a sore back - It's one of the farther hotels from the main shopping area - Too pricey - Older hotel, although well maintained - The room is heated but there […] wasn't a heater I could place my things by to dry after a day of snowboarding Overall It's a nice hotel but I know when I go back I'll be staying somewhere else, there's nicer or as nice hotels for cheaper.
