"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.

We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.
""Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.
"Nice hotel in the theatre district"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel in the theatre district. Friendly and helpful staff. Basic room accomodations but very clean. Would recommend.

Area attractions include Carnegie Hall, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and the Museum of Modern Art. Resplendent St. Patrick’s Cathedral takes up a block at Fifth and 50th. "My daughter and I stayed at Le Parker Meridian"
Recently my 7 year old daughter brought home a report card with all 4's, (above expectation and exemplerary). I asked what she would like as a reward for her hard work and she said she wanted to stay in New York City at a hotel with a pool. I searched and found the meridian. After our stay I was impressed with how swank it was, the great location, and […] the service of the employees. The condition of the hotel was in great shape also. The weekend we stayed the Dallas Mavericks happened to be in town and also stayed here. Only praise for how all was carried out and Mark Cuban probably knew about the hotel than I did prior to our stay but I bet we were both happy and I do trust his decisions a little more now. Great stay and happy with almost every aspect of the service. I hope to return and stay again sometime in the near future. Read more

"Great neighborhood, Nice hotel"
We have stayed at this hotel for years. The neighborhood is a wonderful place, and an ideal location for a weekend getaway. The hotel is predictably good. Good service, safe and clean. Hotel.com was a great vendor for the transaction. Highly recommended.
"Great, Great, Great, View"
Spent the 2nd night of our honeymoon there. It was a pleasure to come back to NY as a visitor after 7 years as a Californian. Between this and the Standard downtown we had perfect locations with great rooms/service/views etc.
"They told us about the noise"
We saw the disclaimer on the web site about the noise from construction next door. Take it seriously if you plan on being there during the day. Not just loud. Loud enough to shake the building. We were fortunate to have a suite on the far side from the construction and were not effected by it but heard it when we walked through the and heard how loud […] it was. Room was clean, relatively spacious and comfortable. Read more

I have stayed in many hotels in NYC for less money and been much happier. Of course the constant Jackhammer from next door was really not their fault, but they should have done a little something extra for their guest for putting up with the extreme nerve wracking aggravation. During my stay one day my room was not even cleaned or bed made up....not […] to mention that empty starbucks cups were never thrown out. The front desk sent no one when I called about it. A quick breakfast took an hour and 15 minutes. And the elevators were the slowest of any place I've ever stayed. The concierge did manage to ship something successfully for me and that is the only good thing I can say about my stay....but I had anxiety whether my package would actually make it due to the incompetence I had experienced all week. I was sorry I had paid for my stay in advance because I would have left otherwise. I will never stay there again..... Read more

"Parker Meridian"
This hotel excels in administration, friendliness and attentive service. Unfortunately, there was construction next door which filled the hotel with terrible noise 7am-5pm. The room reserved by Hotels.com was adequate, though small and with no amenities. The price we paid was too much .
"no construction on sunday."
despite ongoing construction near the site there was no noise on sat.sun.
"Probably shouldnt share but...."
The following information was not know until the time of check-in. Nothing was mentioned on the hotel's website: 1.) the gym was under construction and had 6 machines and minimal weights 2.) pool was closed for construction 3.) neighboring building had severe and loud construction that took place during sunday morning 4.) DVD player was not included […] in room 5.) express check out service through tv was 'down' and was far from express. Complete war zone. Read more

"Great Location, Great Room"
Couldn't ask for a better location, quieter than Times Square, close to Central Park, museums, and 5th Ave shopping. Nearest subway is N/R although Columbus Circle is nearby (more subway access). Burger Joint in the hotel is AWESOME...feels like you're in the Village. Norma's for breakfast...I know that everyone says this is THE place, but it's very […] overpriced and the portions are huge. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Never had to wait long for an elevator, and it didn't seem crowded even though on a holiday weekend I am sure they were at capacity. Would definitely stay here again!! Read more
"Construction alert"
Very nice hotel. Construction starts at 7am SHARP and if you're thinking, "how bad could it be?" Its BAD. 7am the walls rattle and you have to turn the TV up really loud to hear over it.
"Construction"
It appears that a new building was being built next door to the hotel. The noise of the construction, from 7:00AM to 3:00PM, was UNBEARABLE! IN fact, on one day, the work was still going on at 5:00PM when we left the room. The hotel should notify anyone making a reservation of this situation so that the correct decision can be made.
There was a lot of construction around the hotel and therefore a lot of noise. i.e. jackhammer and pile drivers. The first morning there was quite a bit of noise The front desk was very helpful and put us into another room which was higher and on the other side. Other than that they were terrific. I heard that the construction will last at least into […] December. j Read more

"Le Parker Meridien in NYC"
Love the location, close to transportation and easy access all over the city. Lobby smells from hamburgers. Mold around bathtub. Bathroom ceiling peeling, The doorman was rather brusque when I left. He refused to close the cab door when I didn't give him a tip (which he didn't deserve).
"Great Hotel"
The hotel is very nice and on a quiet street. Great place to stay. The room was very nice. The only complaint is that they charge for the fitness room. I've stayed on many nice hotels and have never been told you need to pay to use free weights. The free weights are not "free" at this hotel.

There was construction in front of the hotel so my initial impression was off. When I got to the front desk the computers were down so we were not able to check into our rooms. One by one as they gained access guests were allowed to check it. By then my stress level was high. When I was finally able to get into my room I was disappointed at the small […] size of the room, bathroom and beds. Also the decor was sort of antiquated and old looking. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. They do however, have a friendly staff and good restaurants. Read more
"Great location"
A stone's throw from Carnegie Hall and not much further from Central Park. Norma's is spectacular for breakfast!
"Le Parker Meridien- Absolutely Fabulous"

"Perfect location, dirty bedding"
The price was pretty good for right by Central Park. If you're doing a party in their PH, it's beautiful but probably much nicer in the summer since there's a nice balcony. The rooms were nice. The bedding didn't seem fresh and there were some stains on it. The shower curtain was also dirty--they'd be better off using glass doors--and a bit grimy. Other […] than that, the hotel was nice and accomodating. Read more
"Excellent! Perfect classy location and service"
We had originally booked 4 nights at a different 4 star hotel on this website, but canceled once we saw our room and booked at Parker instead. This hotel was excellent. We upgraded to a suite (400 square feet) with beautiful views and lots of light (hallways are still way too dark in my opinion). The location is perfect, just steps from 5th avenue and […] central park. The gorgeous bar serves a huge dish of fried olives and nuts with every drink order and the cheap and gritty hamburger joint in the lobby is an unexpected change of pace from the typical hotel restaurant for sure! We didn't try the super popular breakfast restaurant because it was always so packed with people. The service and concierge are excellent and even though it was slightly more expensive than our original 4 star hotel, it was well worth the extra expense and really made our 5 days in NYC special. My only complaint is that the bed was no where near as comfortable as expected. I got hip pain sleeping on my side, which never happens at home or in other "luxury" beds. Read more

"Le Parker Meridien in New York - excellent"
Excellent hotel. Modern, stylish. I traveled with my daughter and we had a large room with 2 twin and a half beds. The beds very comfortable with down mattress tops. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. There is an excellent work out area with a large number of exercise bicycles, treadmills, ellipticals - never had to wait. Also Nautilus […] excercise machines and free weights. Covered pool on roof. Decent size but very chlorine-y and water was cloudy. Views are great but I would not go expecting to use the pool as your focal point. Great location on quiet street, near Central Park with easy access to everything. I would defintely stay here again. I got a great special rate from hotels.com. Had to pay in advance, no refunds, and it was worth it. Read more
"One Night in NYC"
Dropped the car at the front door, they took it away to park for us. Walked to the front desk( no wait) and checked in within 2 minutes. Took the elevator to our room, and the room was spacious (even for NYC in my mind). Had a King sized bed as requested. However there were a few spots of mold/mildew around the caulk in the bathtub. Above the mirror […] at the ceiling was a closed off access panel for electrical, which had what appeared to be loose cut wires that had been painted over. There was a space in the room for what appeared to be a stereo or VCR which was missing, and the Sony TV was about 10 years old, but worked somewhat (static on many channels). Overall it was just ok, for what I thought was an upper end hotel. Read more
"Le Meridien"
it hasnt aged well and needs updating. Still has huge CRT TV and TV stand. Takes up 1/4 of the room. Room seems worn in general.
"Mixed feelings"
We had a good time, however not all of it was because of the hotel. Location is great, right on fifth and close to the park. Pool is amazing and we had a great time there. I was disappointed from the room. the bed was really not comfortable and the pillows felt so cheap and hard. the hotel keeps the temperature at a certain degree which made the room […] stuffy and VERY dry. when we put the AC a bit (just that you understand, it was 35'sh degrees outside) it wouldn't go below the hotel set temp. which made me hardly sleep all night. when we checked out and i told the lady at the reception, she didn't seam to care to much and only said she would put a note for what i said. so overall for the price, i would look for something more indulging and someone who cares when you don't sleep all night after you spend so much money. "Le Parker Meridian absolutely lived up to it's rep"
I appreciated the fantastic service and availability of the staff. Parking was also very easy.
"Parker Meridien"
Perfect room and location for business trip to NY. Lot's of space, great desk area and very comfortable bed and bathroom. The only issue was that heat is controlled centrally throughout the hotel and when it got colder we had to have a space heater brought in. Also paying $16 a day for Internet access is irritating when paying so much for a room - […] lots of hotels provide free wireless these days - time for the Parker to follow suit. Overall a lovely hotel! Read more

A drawback is the lobby. There is public access through the lobby bar area leaving no public space to sit and enjoy a drink or read. The whole lobby seems very chopped up. The hotel staff does not seem to know who the hotel guests are and who is just passing by. The downstairs spa,Gravity is wonderful but charging guests 10.00 is a bit cheesy.
