Came inot town to go sightseeing and chose this hotel because of its convenience and location in relation to our sightseeing locales. I had previously stayed here years ago and liked it very much. The friendliness of the staff, the convenience of the breakfast and the area businesses and restaraunts surrounding are why I will continue to chose this hotel the next time I am in Williamsburg.

I chose this hotel based on other people's comments about the helpfulness of the staff - I was not disappointed! Each person I encountered was friendly, helpful, and bent over backward to do a good job. The offered a shuttle to and from the airport (even at midnight!), GREAT breakfast in the restaurant, and a very comfortable, clean room. I'll stay here when I'm back in town next month.

Hotel is a little olderbut well maintained. AC in my room was not all that effective and I was a country mile from the nearest elevatir. Staff was friendly and the overall experience was three star.

Location.
Located 5 miles from Colonial Williamsburg, the Greensprings Vacation Resort is at the site of a historic colonial plantation. The hotel is less than 4 miles from the Williamsburg Botanical Garden, Williamsburg Freedom Park, and the Jamestown Settlement.
Hotel Features.
This self-catering resort is adjacent to the Williamsburg National golf course. The resort also has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a spa tub, a sauna, a fitness center, and a playground with basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts. A picnic area with barbecue grills is also located on site. There is a fireplace in the lobby and the front desk and business center are open 24 hours a day. Parking, including handicapped parking, and laundry facilities are also featured for guest convenience.
Guestrooms.
All of the resort's 148 guestrooms have private balconies or patios. Separate sitting areas are outfitted with fireplaces and sofa beds. Each unit has a full kitchen with a microwave, refrigerator, range, dishwasher, and coffee/tea maker. Room amenities include two cable televisions with premium channels, telephones with voicemail, Internet access (fees apply), iron/ironing boards, and clock radios. Rooms have two bathrooms, one with a jetted tub. Children under 18 stay free. Rooms and bathrooms offer disabled accessibility. Mid-stay housekeeping is available for stays of seven nights or longer.

Resort was more than we expected, with great amenities and clean up to date facilities. Wish we had more time and they had more dining facilities on site.

The place was hugh. Large living room, kitchen, dining room. There were two large bedroom and two bathrooms. The place was super comfortable. Some furnishings need updating and the cleaning crew could have done a better job vacuuming.

Booked a 1 Bedroom Condo at the Greensprings Resort for a quick getaway to Busch Gardens/Williamsburg with our two boys (Ages 3 and 1)... Got little pressure to attend the sales pitch, which was nice... Perhaps if only one of us had to attend so the other could stay with the boys, we may have taken them up on it.... Once we got to the room, which was […] in a building very close to the pool/office area, we were pleasantly surprised to find we were actually given a very spacious 2 Bedroom, which was perfect for us... Screen door to our balcony was broken, as our 3 year old found immediately... However, maintenance was there within 15 minutes to fix....Security guards were very pleasant at the front gates and even made a great suggestion for pizza delivery... The pool area was very well maintained and we could have spent our whole time here.... All in all a very successful first venture to the Greensprings Plantation and we look forward to going back... This place was awesome for the price! We booked with a %50 off special and we couldn't believe what we got for the price!! This is not a hotel, it's a full fledged resort and the "rooms" are definitely more like roomy appartments. Full kitchen (as was promised), flat screen tv's in master and living room, beautiful location, beautiful facilities...all […] rooms have a back porch that is PERFECT for eating outside. So much space to spread out in!We loved the hot tub in the master bath. Everything was just more than we could have asked for! Will go back if we can get that price again! There were 3 things that I should mention as a word of warning for those who might care: 1. the decor is outdated and I was dissapointed that there were no black out drapes. Not a huge deal. 2. This almost dropped my rating down to a 4 but I couldn't considering all the other posatives: We stayed on the middle floor and the noise from above us was INSANE. There were times where my husband and I sat up in bed thinking there were people in our appartment, that's how loud it was. I would highly recommend putting in a request for the 3rd floor if you have a 2 bedroom suite...cuz if you're on the 2nd floor and there are people above you, it's going to be bad at night and in the morning when people are coming and going from the appt. 3. "Excellent facilty, esp. for families"
This all-inclusive resort is an excellent place for families visitng the Williamsburg/Jamestwon area. The rooms are large and well-appointed and equipped, and the facilities incluide all manner of healthy diversions for youngsters adn adjuts as well. Staff are welcomng, courteous and helpful, and do not "push" the time-share purchase opportunity.

This place was very clean and quiet. The nice thing is that it was like an apartment rather than a hotel room, which included a laundry room, full kitchen, and a deck that oversaw a gold course. The only thing that was iffy was at check in when you are hounded a little bit to join a time share presentation. If you are not interested, just be persistent […] in saying no but if you have some extra time they offer some good insentives just for sitting through the 1-2 hour presentation. My sister's and I have stayed at this resort last year and it was great, wonderful and just so relaxing. This time was the same everything was great. We asked for a first floor room and they had it ready, everything was great the beds are so comfortable, I did not even want to get up in the morning. It was close to the outlets and grocery stores. My hubby & i went for a romantic weekend getaway. It was quiet & very relaxing. Can't wait to return! Everything about the resort and room was beautiful, except the spa tub in the room didn't work.

The room is spacious and clean. Some minor wear is noticeable on carpet and furnishings but nothing that detracts from the sense of luxury and comfort we felt. I think all rooms have balconies and ours overlooked the golf course. "Excellence"
This was a wonderful stay for the family! Close enough to all the historical attractions and folks on the premises were helpful with giving directions. Friendly staff and welcoming to newcomers. What a marvelous resort/hotel!!! It was extremely spacious, clean, and a perfect place to "stay for a week" if you needed/wanted. The ONLY downfall was the bed. It was hard and very uncomfortable.
"Time Share Trap!"
You wiill be hounded and hounded to attend a time share meeting, even if you decline. Then they will promise you only an hour and a half, but take over 2 hours plus with high pressure sales. The rooms had a hole in the couch, cracked tile in the bathroom, and you can hear folks above you, all night.

"Greensprings one to come back to year after year"
I found the greenspings resort several years ago. My wife and I have continued to come back for Valentines Day and our Aniverisery each year since. We have never been disipointed. Greensprings is close to Colonial Williamsburg and the outlet malls, as well as Busch Gardens. Being local to the area my wife and I enjoy our quick get away weekends.

I have stayed at Greensprings several times over the years. the staff is very welcoming and accomodating. The only problem I am seeing recently, is that the rooms are in need of a facelift. Otherwise, I would recommend, and have recommended Greensprings Plantation, in wiliamsburg, VA to friends and family. The pool area is awsome!

hotel is always very clean and comfortable.....pool area is immaculate and stays open til 11:00 which is a MAJOR plus for my family....we love the spaciousness....toilet in master suite ran all night while we were there, but i didn't tell them until we checked out, otherwise I am sure thay would have looked at it...so I really can't complain about it. […] The only thing i don't like about the resort is that the majority of the check in staff (not the concierge) is not very friendly at all....there a a couple who are friendly, but majority don't speak, don't smile...which is uncomfortable for us as we try to make check in pleasant, but their personalities leave a lot to be desired. The resort is undergoing renovations however you would never know it by the looks of things! Everything is still very nice, clean and quiet! We stayed in a newly renovated 2 bedroom and it was beautiful!!!! My only dislike was that the 2nd Bedroom does not have a tv in it. "Quiet Trip Away"
We have stayed at Greensprings before and always recommend it to everyone. Its a little bit of a drive from downtown Colonial Williamsburg but well worth it for the peace, quiet and more room than your standard hotel. We will go back!
"Avoid the timeshare presentation like the plague"
Very simply put the resort is just fine. The only problem was the super high pressure timeshare presentation that lasted twice as long as promised (nearly 4 hours in total). The salesman would not take no for an answer. My wife and I have never been so glad to get out of a room!!!
This was my second stay and enjoyed both visits. It was convenient andnperfect for a small family getaway. The condonwas big enough to make the kids feel as if they had their own private living quarters.

I read the reviews at many of the area hotels to include this one in the Williamsburg Area and was alittle nervous to stay at a Time Share Resort. I found the staff (from the Security gate, to the Front Desk, to the Maintenance Staff) very friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious, and pool was nice. Resort was kid friendly with mini-golf and board […] game rentals. One problem, which was not a major issue, our key card didnt work and after visiting the front desk and re-setting our keys a Maintenance worker met us at the condo unit to make sure the key worked. That impressed me. It doesnt matter if you decline the Time Share buy-in after the presentation the staff still is very welcoming, and you still get your gifts/discounts.
