Perfect for myself and my miniature dachshund. Spacious room. Grassy areas for the dog. Loved it! Would go back if ever in Taos again with my pup.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place for a family get-away"
We needed a central location that was comfortable for our family to stay. It was great. The rooms were spacious and the grounds were terrific. Very pet friendlly as well!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice New Mexico Staycation"
My wife and I are both native New Mexicans and have been to Taos several times before. We decided to get away this weekend and selected the El Pueblo to stay at this time. What a great decision on our part! The staff is wonderful and the room was great. We will definitely stay at El Pueblo again on our next trip. Maybe next time we will take the kids......maybe […] not. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great night Stay"
Excellent hotel and staff. This family of four enjoyed our stay. Pool was very nice for the whole family. We enjoyed the fresh baked cookeis at check in. The hotel was very "New Mexico" vintage. Even though the hotel was a little old everything worked and looked like new. The rooms were over size. The staff was awesome. Breakfast was free. Walking distance […] to the Plaza. "Great pet friendly place to stay."
Long weekend getaway with husband, 2 teenagers & dog. Staff was friendly & helpful. BBQ grills were a big plus & hotel provided charcoal. Rooms were comfortable and included a balcony sitting area. Great location, quick walk to plaza & restaurants. When we go back to Taos will stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"It doesn't get any better than this!"
This is the only place I stay when I am in Taos. I love the vibe of this place. It feel's family run...in fact they make fresh cookies everyday at about Three PM. I love the fact That after a long drive I can leave the car to sit and walk into the village to site-see, shop or eat. I love switching from the hot tub to the pool then back to the hot tub...it […] feels very spa-ish. I love this place. It is one of the reasons I keep visiting Taos. "Good location, great breakfast"
This is an older hotel, but in a good location, and reasonably well maintained. The free breakfast is exceptional, and the breakfast area (a garden) is very pleasant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We scheduled this vacation late and was a bit worried that we would not get a room. We loved the El Pueblo because of its character and the 1950's feel of a motor court. Because there is always a parking issue at the Taos plaza, it was nice to be able to walk from our room to shop and enjoy Taos. The staff is friendly and are eager to please.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Trip to see Taos"
I came to Taos because I had a friend who lived there for 2 years on an arts grant many years ago. I had never had the experience of seeing Santa Fe or Taos and wanted to see what the talk was about. I have a masters degree in the Fine Arts. I found the town and the people wonderful. The Hotel people were also equally nice and helped out wherever they […] could. The only thing is the age of the hotel. It doesn't have the amenities that modern motels do, and it creaks a lot at night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Relaxing and kids friendly"
The room was clean but not well maintained. The shower did not work properly, the AC stopped working in the night. However the kids liked the pool and there is lots of grass for them to play on. The breakfast was above average. The dinning area was both comfortable and with lots of flower pots that made it look home-like and fresh.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Absolutely wonderful! Highly recommended"
The El Pueblo is a great value and beyond expectations. We all were very impressed and plan to travel to Taos again just to stay at the El Pueblo. Everyone from check-in, to house-keeping, to maintenance and the hostess at breakfast, went above and beyond to make us feel valued and comfortable. Our room was large, updated, neatly decorated, and very […] clean. They provide a great breakfast and countless extras that make this place the best. We can't say enough about this wonderful retreat! "Quaint and Fun"
This hotel had very spacious rooms decorated in an old west style, huge bathroom and closet. The breakfast included had a wonderful variety and the service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and the area quaint. It was further from the Taos Plaza and galleries than we original thought it was going to be.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Summer camp for grownups"
Yes, it's a motel. But in a treed, green area. It has southwest style and, honestly, I found it lovely. Although I heard cars entering/leaving, the building is solid and I never heard my neighbors. There's even a grassy portal area for breakfast and a small swimming pool. Breakfast was great for a continental breakfast: there were even homemade gluten-free […] options. And it's walkable to everything. Definitely enjoyed my stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Great service and location. We stayed on July 4th and they had free hot dogs, chips, and salsa. I would definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Outstanding Hotel in a Great Location"
This hotel is a great place in a perfect location. The hotel has been updated and the rooms are spacious with nice furnishings and a good bed. Sleep was wonderful as there was total quiet; no noise from the room next door or above. Continental breakfast is good and the beautiful grounds of the hotel provide a calm seting to eat. You are close to town […] and it is a nice walk after a long day in the car. Will return whenever in Taos. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This is an excellent hotel (lodge). Good quality, clean and well maintained and very friendly service. We liked it enough to extend our stay and would not hesitate to return. I travel a lot and the team is doing an exceptional job compared to many better known hotels.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Top quality lodging."
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the El Pueblo. We relaxed and slept the whole night through. Our room was clean and well maintained.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Classic Southwest motel with modern conveniences"
From the outside, it looks like a typical rural motel (front & back door, key entry, and Southwest motif). Once you enter, you see a large room, fireplace, and pueblo influences. However, you are also accommodated with modern conveniences such as free wifi, refrigerator, and large HDTV. Will definitely stay here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient place to stay for seeing Taos"
This motel is within walking distance of the plaza, where there is a large Farmers' Market on Saturdays and lots of stores. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Road noise was not an issue for us, but we could hear when people were talking outside the rooms. The kids enjoyed the pool, which was nice and warm. Another great trip to Taos made special with El Pueblo LodgeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
El Pueblo Lodge was great. We had the pool (perfect temperature in both pool and hot tub) to ourselves for a late evening swim. The room was big and the porch was screened. My bed was a bit uncomfortable but overall it was a very pleasant stay. Service and breakfast was also good. Quiet and lots of well manicured open spaces to walk and sit. "Better than I hoped for"
I do not know how our stay could have been better. The room was huge, I loved having both a front and back door, balcony, fireplace. It was so quiet, the bed so comfy, the breakfast good. All the staff was very friendly and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A great place to stay. Staff were great, and it felt like a road trip back in the 1960'sGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Home away from home"
Staff members were super friendly, offered helpful suggestions and made the stay more personable. The outdoor environment was conducive to groups of varying sizes doing different activities so one person could enjoy reading in the shade while another group was grilling dinner. Rooms were spacious and we spent time each evening on the balcony outside […] the room. Enjoyed watching people with their pets. Just what I needed to change my mind set from the frantic pace of the school year. Just wished the river depth and the ski run schedule had cooperated with my scheduled plans. Oh, well, try again next year. Maybe there will be more water for a little longer. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Good location in walking distance to old town. The staff is attentive and friendly. The rooms are comfortable, well kept and like the overall motel, have a certain charm that keeps us coming back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Place, Will be Back"
Very nice little property away frm the Plaza, but still close enough for an easy walk there. The property itself was nice & quite, but there's a bit of noise from the folks driving/riding back & forth for hours. Really? People still do that? "If you have to stay in Taos, this is THE place!"
Everything was perfect from the room to the location. If I had a hotel I would like to have one just like this. And the breakfast (you can enjoy it in the beautiful yard) is really good. The people are very kind. Definitely I would stay there next time!Genuine Expedia guest review
We stayed in the older motel building (1 level) and we were very happy with our room (115). Quiet, HD TV, nice beds. The rooms do get hot so cool it down with the AC then open the window to get Mt air while you sleep. The best part about breakfast was the bowl of fresh ruby red grapefruit segments. We hit the season - they were perfectly ripe. There […] are some gluten free options (chili corn muffins and sweet stuff) as well as the usual yogurt/toast/pastry. The patio lawn area is a relaxing place to drink your morning coffee. The staff was wonderful, recommending an excellent local source special location restaurant (Love Apple) and a very good New Mexican one (Orlandos). The lovely breakfast ladies keeping the coffee cup full. For the price you can't beat El Pueblo (I don't know if the 2 story '70s buildings are as nice) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
the hotel was beautiful and had wonderful grounds. spacious rooms and welcoming for pet owners. Unfortunately, the locks on the doors can be easily picked and our room was burglarized. the management was verbally apologetic but even though there was security video didn't know how to work it and have never either returned my calls or emails about it. […] No compensation has been offered or explanation of who did it. We think that someone with a key did it. All this happened the day after our wedding! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Response by El Pueblo Lodge Dear valued guest: I apologize for the delay in getting back to you, as I was waiting to hear back from 3rd parties. In no way does that reflect how sorry we are about this unfortunate incident that happened during your stay at El Pueblo. I am familiar how to "work " the cameras, as you had watched part of the tape with me, However there was no evidence of anyone entering your room, other than yourselves. At your request, we did not call authorities. It is an extremely unfortunate situation and again, we wholeheartedly apologize and hope the compensation offered is a satisfactory resolution.
This motel is a true gem. Very unique. Quiet with all of the amenities. Pool, horseshoes, BBQ, picnic tables, great breakfast and nice sitting area. Can walk to everything. I highly recommend this motel.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice, clean, refurbished room"
This is an older motel. Our room had been remodeled and it was comfortable. We especially liked the location because we could walk to all the shops in town. We did our window shopping after dinner and went back to specific shops in the morning...saving us time before leaving town. We would stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel, friendly staff"
We stayed in Taos for three days. It was my first trip to this beautiful city. Hotel is well located, close to Taos Pueblo, and major city attaractions and many restaurants are in walking disrtance.
