"Best place to stay in Taos"
Have stayed at this property multiple times. The new owners have done an outstanding job of updating the property while carefully maintaining its historic charme. Very quiet and luxurious rooms, excellent beds, outstanding breakfast. The room attendant needs addtl training, she forgot to leave one or the other daily necessity each day. Nevertheless, […] a most pleasant, perfect stay. Super location, easy walk to Plaza. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"El pueblo lodge"
Great motel older rooms but very nice and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely stay ther againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Loved the breakfast and outdoor area."
The room was nothing great. We did love sitting out on the patio area having breakfast. It was so pretty. It made it all worth it. I don't know if I would stay again or not. It was close to the downtown shops and also the Taos Pueblo and casino.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Outstanding! Don't stay any where else in Taos."
From the moment you enter the lobby you know you made the right decision to stay there. Warm cookies are there for you at the counter and in the afternoons you will find salsa and chips. Wonderful and very friendly staff. The rooms could not be cleaner and the grounds are beautiful! Very impressed with everything. Also very pet friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not worth the money!"
Room was a bit run down for the price. Carpets were dirty and grout in the bathroom was moldy. Beds were very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast on the patio was very pleasant. Location of the hotel was convenient. Seemed priced a bit high compared to other hotels in the area.Genuine Expedia guest review

excellent....too expensive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"solid 3 star or just a bit better"
At 60 I understand you can only do so much about age. I wish I was as in as good a shape as this little Lodge. I try to be friendly to make up for the deficits of age and they do too. The room was clean and quite comfortable but the grounds were truly charming and inviting. Go during nice weather and enjoy the patio and back lawn space. wifi worked […] great and the air conditioning kept the room quite comfortable. Priced right and s good value in an area full of options this is a good choice and one I would make again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to down town"
It was ok but kind of pricey! Friendly staff...continental breakfast was good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable walk to Taos Plaza"
We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the close proximity to Taos PlazaGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Extremely nice hotel, staff, grounds and quite!!"
This was a great stay!! We really enjoyed our hotel and the staff was the best! Santa Fe is a cute little town. Enjoyed the Plaza and happen to be there for the Fiesta! El Parasol has fantastic taco's. Heard about them on Bizarre Foods. We are from the south with flat land. Our only thing was getting use to the altitude and incline of terrain.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very pet friendly!"
This was our first trip with our dogs along. El Pueblo is super dog friendly, and does not charge a large fee if you bring your pet/s. It was a nice walk over to Kit Carson park where we walked them in the morning, and a short walk to Bent Street and The Plaza. Our room was quite large, with a nice sized kitchen nook so we could prepare a simple meal […] for dinner there. The sheets, comforters and towels were all nice quality cotton and plenty of them. The continental breakfast was plentiful, with GF options, and a milk alternative. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The grounds, rooms, public spaces and pool/hot tub were super clean and well maintained. There are nice seating areas, picnic tables, and charcoal grills around on the property. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend El Pueblo. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"So lovely and kitschy"
I loved this place. The bed was heaven, and the motel was loaded with charm and quaintness to spare. Everyone was friendly and unique. Give the resident chocolate Lab a scritch for me!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cute older hotel"
We just had a quick weekend visit to Taos. The clerk at check in was very pleasant and helpful. The room was large and comfortable with a southwest charm that wasn't cheesy. Unfortunately the carpet was badly stained so it didn't seem as clean as I would have liked. The bed was comfy and even though we could hear or neighbors when we unlocked our door […] it was quiet in the room so we could sleep. The air conditioner didn't do much to cool it down so I definitely wouldn't recommend a stay in the heat of summer. The breakfast was average with the standard cold fare and the option to make your own toast in a toaster oven. We chose to find a hot breakfast elsewhere. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Perfect for myself and my miniature dachshund. Spacious room. Grassy areas for the dog. Loved it! Would go back if ever in Taos again with my pup.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place for a family get-away"
We needed a central location that was comfortable for our family to stay. It was great. The rooms were spacious and the grounds were terrific. Very pet friendlly as well!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Walking distance to several restaurants and the Taos Plaza. Easy to find, quick check in, large breakfast, nice pool area. .Beds were great, very comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
The room (243) was huge with a king bed, full size sofa (newer), dining table w 2 chairs, desk with chair, leather lounge chair, fireplace, large flat screen TV, microwave and refrigerator with nice size counter. The bath was divided (sink separate from toilet/shower). All was very clean!! Then, off our room in the back was a screened-in porch with […] 2 chairs and table. The air conditioner was loud but we were able to over-look that because the room was so nice. The front looked out onto a courtyard. We didn't use the pool or spa but both were very clean. The breakfast was good (lots of pastries, no hot eggs or sausage/bacon). Yogurt and fresh fruit cut up and ready to eat. The lady helping with breakfast was very helpful and friendly, as was the lady who checked us in. We were about a 5-6 block walk to the plaza. My only regret: we were there only one night! "Nice New Mexico Staycation"
My wife and I are both native New Mexicans and have been to Taos several times before. We decided to get away this weekend and selected the El Pueblo to stay at this time. What a great decision on our part! The staff is wonderful and the room was great. We will definitely stay at El Pueblo again on our next trip. Maybe next time we will take the kids......maybe […] not. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great night Stay"
Excellent hotel and staff. This family of four enjoyed our stay. Pool was very nice for the whole family. We enjoyed the fresh baked cookeis at check in. The hotel was very "New Mexico" vintage. Even though the hotel was a little old everything worked and looked like new. The rooms were over size. The staff was awesome. Breakfast was free. Walking distance […] to the Plaza. "Nice room with a shared yard."
Entrance at back lot. Shared yard at rear of room at back of room. Very comfy bed. Nice pool and jacuzzi. The only draw back was doggie smell to room. Good complimentary breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
Really enjoyed Taos. Perfect choice of hotel because of the walking distance into town. Therefore did not have to drive which was a relief. Room was large and pleasant, and our dog enjoyed it also. There was a pool and barbecue area. The hotel was clean which is a number one factor in my book.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great pet friendly place to stay."
Long weekend getaway with husband, 2 teenagers & dog. Staff was friendly & helpful. BBQ grills were a big plus & hotel provided charcoal. Rooms were comfortable and included a balcony sitting area. Great location, quick walk to plaza & restaurants. When we go back to Taos will stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"It doesn't get any better than this!"
This is the only place I stay when I am in Taos. I love the vibe of this place. It feel's family run...in fact they make fresh cookies everyday at about Three PM. I love the fact That after a long drive I can leave the car to sit and walk into the village to site-see, shop or eat. I love switching from the hot tub to the pool then back to the hot tub...it […] feels very spa-ish. I love this place. It is one of the reasons I keep visiting Taos. "Good location, great breakfast"
This is an older hotel, but in a good location, and reasonably well maintained. The free breakfast is exceptional, and the breakfast area (a garden) is very pleasant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We scheduled this vacation late and was a bit worried that we would not get a room. We loved the El Pueblo because of its character and the 1950's feel of a motor court. Because there is always a parking issue at the Taos plaza, it was nice to be able to walk from our room to shop and enjoy Taos. The staff is friendly and are eager to please.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Trip to see Taos"
I came to Taos because I had a friend who lived there for 2 years on an arts grant many years ago. I had never had the experience of seeing Santa Fe or Taos and wanted to see what the talk was about. I have a masters degree in the Fine Arts. I found the town and the people wonderful. The Hotel people were also equally nice and helped out wherever they […] could. The only thing is the age of the hotel. It doesn't have the amenities that modern motels do, and it creaks a lot at night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Relaxing and kids friendly"
The room was clean but not well maintained. The shower did not work properly, the AC stopped working in the night. However the kids liked the pool and there is lots of grass for them to play on. The breakfast was above average. The dinning area was both comfortable and with lots of flower pots that made it look home-like and fresh.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice - near Plaza"
On the main road but most of the rooms are away from street noise. Good for the money.Genuine Expedia guest review
Absolutely fantastic stay at the El Pueblo Lodge. The staff was very professional, approachable and dedicated to helping create a wonderful stay in Taos for me. Special thanks goes to the woman that runs the breakfast every morning and to Jade at the front desk -- and Tara and Mya too, of course. I am so grateful for the hospitality shown to me during […] my visit. I would highly recommend this hotel to a friend and I would happily stay at the El Pueblo Lodge again. "Very nice hotel, near shops and restaurants"
We only stayed on night but it was very comfortable with a nice balcony overlooking the courtyard. Within walking distance from shops and dining. The room was large and quiet, and the beds very comfortable. The staff was friendly and the continental breakfast offered many choices. The outdoor area for eating breakfast was lovely as well. The pool and […] hot tub looked inviting but an evening thunderstorm kept us from enjoying the hot tub. I would definitely stay there again. And I found out that they have several rooms with fireplaces if you ask for them. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Absolutely wonderful! Highly recommended"
The El Pueblo is a great value and beyond expectations. We all were very impressed and plan to travel to Taos again just to stay at the El Pueblo. Everyone from check-in, to house-keeping, to maintenance and the hostess at breakfast, went above and beyond to make us feel valued and comfortable. Our room was large, updated, neatly decorated, and very […] clean. They provide a great breakfast and countless extras that make this place the best. We can't say enough about this wonderful retreat! "Quaint and Fun"
This hotel had very spacious rooms decorated in an old west style, huge bathroom and closet. The breakfast included had a wonderful variety and the service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and the area quaint. It was further from the Taos Plaza and galleries than we original thought it was going to be.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Summer camp for grownups"
Yes, it's a motel. But in a treed, green area. It has southwest style and, honestly, I found it lovely. Although I heard cars entering/leaving, the building is solid and I never heard my neighbors. There's even a grassy portal area for breakfast and a small swimming pool. Breakfast was great for a continental breakfast: there were even homemade gluten-free […] options. And it's walkable to everything. Definitely enjoyed my stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Outstanding Hotel in a Great Location"
This hotel is a great place in a perfect location. The hotel has been updated and the rooms are spacious with nice furnishings and a good bed. Sleep was wonderful as there was total quiet; no noise from the room next door or above. Continental breakfast is good and the beautiful grounds of the hotel provide a calm seting to eat. "Nice hotel. Close to old town"
Nice hotel. Walked I to room and was taken back with the charm that we immediately felt. We walked to the old town part of Taos which was nice and safe. We received a lot of good advice from woman at the counter. She'd told us of different restaurants and how to get there. We also had enjoyable conversation with woman helper at breakfastGenuine Expedia guest review
Lovely convenient clean and lots of nice southwest details. Breakfast was top-notch!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Classic Southwest motel with modern conveniences"
From the outside, it looks like a typical rural motel (front & back door, key entry, and Southwest motif). Once you enter, you see a large room, fireplace, and pueblo influences. However, you are also accommodated with modern conveniences such as free wifi, refrigerator, and large HDTV. Will definitely stay here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was a pleasant stay. Clean, fresh bedding, roomy room.staff was very friendly. Taos is a lovely town. My husband was here to climb Mt Wheeler and thi was an excellent location.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient place to stay for seeing Taos"
This motel is within walking distance of the plaza, where there is a large Farmers' Market on Saturdays and lots of stores. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Road noise was not an issue for us, but we could hear when people were talking outside the rooms. The kids enjoyed the pool, which was nice and warm.
