"Great family hotel with a wonderful place to play"
What a great surprise Hotel Pueblo is! We really enjoyed the pool, grounds and breakfast! This a great find for the price, location and amenities. We loved being able to enjoy the weather outside with a picnic and wonderful yard for the kids to run around. We would stay again for sure next trip to Taos!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Quiet, peaceful yet close to everything"
My elderly mother, sister and I met here for a few day get-a-way and were really pleased with El Pueblo Lodge. We had a room in the very back so it was quiet. The grounds are very green and well-kept, so you don't realize you are a walk away from all of the shops, restaurants and bars. The complimentary breakfast was very nice and we were able to sit […] outside on the veranda every morning. For a hotel that is very old, our room inside was completely redone and very clean. The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"The hotel equivalent of comfort food."
El Pueblo is a classic Americana motel with a friendly vibe, comfy beds, and basic amenities. Good value in what can be a pricey town. We only stayed one night but my daughter made friends with two girls at the pool and had a ball. Complimentary breakfast was enjoyable out on the patio, and free Wi-Fi is definitely appreciated. Would stay again!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Charming with great location"
The location couldn't have been better just a few blocks from square but in a quiter section of town. The staff was attentive and helpful with everything from checking in, directions to restaurants, and letting us keep luggage there after check-out.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great little hotel, we really enjoyed the back patio. The grounds were lovelyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"funky old hotel in need of updating"
This is a funky old hotel from the 50's that could be nice if they totally renovated it. They have no business charging what they did ($170 per night) for these rooms. Old stained carpet and furniture. Stay elsewhere.Genuine Expedia guest review
We loved everything about the hotel except the housekeeping. The used or depleted items were not replaced ever. We had to ask or go get our own each day ( 3 days). The duvet was dirty and the floors were dirty. The. Breakfast was great and the staff tried hard.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable home base for Taos"
The staff welcoming, rooms clean and large, continental breakfast tasty, location completely central but not at all noisy. Can't go wrong with choosing this place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Love This Hotel!"

Great continetal breakfast and very nice outside patio to eat. We loved just sitting on the patio outside our room. Nice pool and hot tub. Short drive to the Plaza, and dining. I was very satisfied with our stay. The location was within walking distance of the plaza area in Taos. The setting was very nice with a view of the mountains in the background. "Friendly, unique hotel"
The staff is friendly and accommodating. The king room we stayed in was quite spacious with a fireplace and patios on both sides. The other king room our son stayed in, adjoining the main office was more of a suite. There is no air conditioning in these 4 rooms but there was a cooler and the temperature was comfortable. Fixtures are old fashioned but […] quite serviceable and the decor is quaint southwestern. Breakfast area is a nice large patio and also some indoor seating. Just simple fare: fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast & good coffee. Attentive, friendly service. Very central location. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great location, relaxed, dog friendly"
Stayed 3 days over the 4th of July & it wonderful! The room, courtyard and grounds was a true representation of the atmosphere of the area. Within walking distance to shopping, restaurants & the Taos Plaza. Hospitality was excellent. Nice breakfast each morning. The room was clean, very comfortable and gave the feel of the southwest. Extremely dog friendly […] and, aside from seeing the dogs, you would never have known they were there! Staff was really great and the beds were so comfy. The only negative about the room was the very small bathroom and lack of vanity space. Breakfast has a lot of options.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Staff was very helpful"
We didn't spend much time there, but the beds were extremely comfortable! The room was also very quiet. We went on a balloon ride and weren't sure if we would be back in time for checkout, but the staff was nice enough to put us down as last check-out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great first-time stay in Taos"
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at El Pueblo. The person who greeted us when we arrived was very pleasant and helpful. I am sorry I have forgotten her name. Good base to visit Taos sights. Walking distance to Old Town. Great to have BBQs and picnic tables on site (charcoal provided) - used them each night of our stay. Pool small but good for quick dip to relax after sight-seeingGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great hotel close to the plaza"
We had such a nice time at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. It was lovely to have a patio to sit on outside the room. The grounds made you feel like you were in nature and the staff were very friendly and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
El Pueblo Lodge is more of a motor hotel (i.e. park in front of your room and enter from the outside). I don't usually like this type of lodging, but it seems appropriate for Taos. I fully expected the lodge to be dated and, well, not so nice. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, pillows was were better than most […] big brand hotels I've stayed in recently. Temperature was great, surroundings were quiet. I actually got a good night sleep. Also, towels were of high quality and the breakfast was better (i.e. healthier) than the Holiday Inn Express style of breakfasts. All in all, a pretty decent place for the price. "Decent motel close to the Plaza."
This motel is an adequate place to stay that offers easy walking distance to downtown and several recommended eating spots. The complimentary continental breakfast features fresh fruit and the usual other breakfast items. We found the staff, particularly the person in charge of the breakfast area, to be friendly and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Clean, comfy, recently reno'd"
The Pueblo Lodge from the road looks like the 60s-era motor lodge it is, but don't let that fool you: it's in excellent condition. Our room was immaculate and the bathroom had recently been renovated. The Spanish-style furnishings and exposed beams were very charming. There was even HDTV (not just an HD set with regular cable connected). The breakfast […] was perfectly adequate, and you can enjoy it in their beautiful backyard/porch area. I didn't have a chance to go in the pool, but it seemed to be in good condition as well. I'd highly recommend this hotel. The value was outstanding and our brief stay was more than comfortable. Great bed... So comfortable. Fireplace very nice. Don't like the idea of dogs having been in a room as dogs are allowed.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good Value for the Pricwe"

"In Town for Mumford & Sons"
Drove from Colorado Springs to Taos for the Mumford concert. I booked a night at your lodge before I even knew I got tickets because I knew hotel rooms would go quickly. It was a short walk to the venue, which was convenient. I was able to check in early and pick up my key after the concert and the front office was open until 2 am, so I didn't have […] to worry about hurrying back when it was over. The room was really nice and the best part was the amazing pillows on the bed! I loved them so much I'm ordering them online! Thanks for a great night's stay and thanks for hosting Mumford & Sons! "A nice quiet place to stay"
The hotel is older but very clean. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. The air conditioners work as does the pool and hot tub.the staff was very courteous and the warm chocolate chip cookies served when we checked in were a welcome surprise. I would stay again and recommend the Lodge without hesitation.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I chose this lodge, site unseen and was a hit! It is charming, quiet, and the staff was excellent! I will definately go back and stay longer.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Overnight at El Pueblo Lodge"
For a one night stay, the room was acceptable. I would recommend easy chairs in the room rather than wicker and wood; they were not comfortable to sit on. The inside restaurant area is much too small; the weather is not always conducive to eating breakfast on the patio. The bathroom and vanity area were exceptional in that they were very large and […] roomy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved our stay here!! The beds were very comfortable, as was the super-plush bedding. The bathroom was very clean and newly updated with southwestern themed elements which was a nice touch. The room was a great size, and included more southwestern-themed items that made it feel cozy. There was parking right outside our door for easy loading/unloading, […] and there was a large back-yard-type space that I was able to enjoy with my dogs. It was a great place to stay, and we definitely look forward to staying again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"quiet location: walking distance to downtown"
Enjoyed it very much. The outside of the buildings has the look of the 50s but clean and presentable. Rooms have been redone and are quite nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pleasantly old fashioned"
This is a decent hotel that looks and feels like the old days. The exterior is slightly shabby, but our room had been updated with new bath room and other fixtures. The bed was comfortable, and the noise level was low. Walking into the center of town takes about 10 minutes at a leisurely pace. The staff are friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice place to stay great beds and nice pool area"
Turned out to be a great choice for Taos. close to the plaza and good restaurants. The beds were very comfortable and the pool area was nice and clean. Loved the ambiance and they are very dog friendly (always a plus in my book even if I'm not traveling with my dog). The staff was nice and friendly too. If I had to pick a few nits...the bathrooms were […] a tad small and the breakfast kind of sparse (but they did have fresh fruit). Bottom line, if or when I go back to Taos I will definitely stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"El Pueblo - It is what it is. Just relax"
This Motel is a throwback to yesteryear. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the beds comfortable. There are places on the lawn to play horseshoes, grill dinner, and just relax. You can swim or wind down in the Jacuzzi. You can walk to restaurants or shopping or just use the place as a staging area to enjoy recreational activities abundant in the […] Taos area. "Great for three sisters traveling together"
Since I was the sister who booked the El Pueblo Lodge sight unseen, it was a relief to arrive and find it attractively and colorfully decorated and roomy enough (double Queens) for three of us and all our baggage. We enjoyed the excellent and ample breakfast that was included, too. All the staff people we encountered were helpful and friendly. The location […] worked well...depending on your fitness and inclination, restaurants and the Plaza are within walking distance or a short drive. It also was at the north end of town and a short distance to the cutoffs up the Taos Pueblo and/or the Rio Grande Gorge bridge. All in all, it was a good two days' stay in early May.
