"This lodge has thought of everything"
Super dog-friendly! The rooms were large and had a fireplace and kitchen! The location is also great!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Hotel - Cute"
Decorated in a Southwestern Style, that was charming, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The table chairs could have been slightly more comfortable. Bed was comfortable also. Good value for the money. Hotel staff was pleasant. Didn't eat breakfast as we were wanting to get on the road.Genuine Expedia guest review
"very good location to downtown attractions"
The staff was very friendly and helpful... are room was great. I would recommend and will stay there in my return visits to Taos!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"cozy vintage motor lodge"
I loved it! It is not a Hilton but the charm was 5 stars. I will definitely go back. An easy walk to town or a relaxing lounge on the patio overlooking a green lawn. A great Southwest getaway.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location near everything we wanted to see. The staff was wonderful and very helpfulGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved it! Very friendly and helpfull staff. Dawn gave us an extra large room, when we asked to be on the Westside. Comfy big rooms. Good Bedding. Nice Gardens and a Veranda to sit and have breakfast. Have been there many times before and will again.Great Value for Price!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Service, great value!"
We have stayed at the El Pueblo Lodge before and we will keep coming back to it - a great place for overnight stay or a vacation.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel with charm and value"
This hotel was the best place we stayed on a 12 day trip. There were so many nice touches to the decor, and the place was well-maintained. Nice pool and spa, lovely grounds with BBQ's, patio with tables, and an ample breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very large rooms- amazing beds, spotless bathrooms, great location- north of town- near Taos Pueblo, very good value ! Recommend Elevation coffee just to the north. Great comfort in a funky 50's vibe.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Don't look further"
This is a classic motel, but right in the middle of just about everything you want to see in Taos. The staff is courteous, efficient and helpful. The rooms are quiet, clean and well appointed. I have stayed in more expensive hotels/motels in Taos that can not favorably compare with El Pueblo. The continental breakfast is more than adequate, short of […] a full meal. I wouldn't bother to look further. Also convenient to some pretty good eateries. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This is an older motel, but well maintained and very helpful staff. Room was quite large with balcony, fireplace and kitchenette. Very clean and comfortable. Ask for the first floor if you don't want to drag your bags up stairsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pleasant place to stay"
Older, but very well maintained motel, excellent service, short walk to downtown. Would certainly stay there again if in Taos.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Only a footwalk to Old Taos. Breakfast is comfortable and abnormally clean for American Hotels! Thanks to the "Breakfast-woman"! Unfortunately outdoor-pool was closed - it was "winter" end of April and heavy cold wind! Very friendly staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It's always an "adventure' when a person books a hotel in a community they've never visited before. This was a great place to stay for our short visit to Taos. Freshly baked cookies were available upon our arrival. The room was large, clean, and quaintly decorated in a southwestern style. A simple thing like having two luggage racks was a nice touch […] so that we weren't tripping over suitcases spread out all over the room. We appreciated what was almost a mini-kitchen in our room with a sink, refrigerator and microwave and we took advantage of the fireplace in the room and had a cozy fire to watch while we visited in the evening. The layout of the property made it seem more like a resort than just a hotel; rooms were a few yards away from the parking lot and thus a little more removed from the sounds of car engines and slamming car doors. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, recommending several dining options for our evening meal. I loved being able to walk to several museums and to the many interesting shops in Taos. This property exceeded our expectations and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Our stay was great, we were going to stay one night on our way to Sante Fe, but decided to stay one more night. the service and staff were great, a nice cozy place and extremely pet friendly. My next trip through Taos will include a stay @ El Peublo Lodge.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Size of the room was great. Large bedroom, great walk through closet/dressing area to the bathroom and nice size bath. The mattress was not the best in the world, but sufficient. Of course the pics made it look newer than it really is. Lighting in the bedroom was poor. Needed more lamps. It was an old hotel, but good for the one night stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quaint little place"
Very quaint little B&B right in the heart of Santa Fe. Very friendly staff with a lot of local knowledge.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by El Pueblo Lodge Happy you found a place in Santa Fe that you enjoyed, however the El Pueblo Lodge is in Taos. If you are ever this way, please give us a try!
My sister & I found the accomodations spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable and well appointed. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was varied and tasty. No hot food though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Taos plaza District"
The hotel was a finely maintained older hotel. In Taos one would have to stay several miles out of the central district to find a more modern place. This hotel had what was necessary for a pleasant stay in Taos.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The place is beautiful with a great garden. The decoration of the bedroom and bathroom is nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
We enjoyed our recent stay at El Pueblo Lodge. The staff were all friendly, pleasant and extremely helpful. We did not a have a request that went unfulfilled. The room was very large with a front and back door and since we were on the upper floor the balcony off the back had an enclosed railing and we could sit and relax and not worry about our little […] dog wandering off from us. It is truly a dog-friendly lodge and they welcome people who are traveling with their dog companions. The continental breakfast and staff were wonderful and the variety suited our needs quite well. This is not a modern fancy hotel, this is a wonderful and relaxing place that harkens back to the "good old days." It is also within walking distance to the plaza. We would recommend this lodge to those who are looking for more than just a room to stay in while in Taos. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Slightly older place, but very well maintained and updated. Staff were extremely helpful, including getting us free wood and a starter log so we could use the little outside fire area! I think we got the best value for our money in the area and would stay again without any reservation. The only downside was thin walls so we could hear neighbors at […] times. "Comfortable, reasonably priced, great location"
We stayed here during our one night in Taos and enjoyed our stay. The staff was pleasant and friendly, the room was clean and had lots of nice touches in the decor that made it very quaint and comfortable. And just a short walk to restaurants and shopping. Perfect... we will stay here again when we return to Taos!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Within walking distance of Taos Plaza"
This room has a southwest look to it - wooden beams on the ceiling, stucco walls to the blanket on the bed. Our room didn't have a fireplace in it like others but that was okay. "Close to town"
Lodge was nice place to stay. It is old and worn, but I would definitely stay there again. Nice employees and the provided breakfast was adequate.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent value, great breakfast"
The El Pueblo appears to be an older facility, but we found it to be well-cared for and squared-away. The room was great, roomier than expected, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast attendant greeted everyone cheerily and seemed to enjoy doing her job. She presided over a good array of choices, including some gluten-free baked goods, […] a first in my experience. "Wonderful vintage lodge"
This older vintage lodge which has been newly remodeled is a trip down memory lane. Decorated in rich southwestern decor and mixing modern and antique furniture. Refrigerator and coffee maker in room. Hair dryer, iron and ironing board and extra blankets in the room. Very comfortable beds. Heater/cooler was easy to operate. The staff were friendly and […] helpful. Pet-friendly atmosphere. Complimentary breakfast was good and could be enjoyed in the indoor area or the enclosed patio. An outdoor patio was also available. I would stay there again and again on returns to the Taos area. A short distance to the plaza, restaurants, casino and other historic sites. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Quick ski trip to Taos"
Upon arrival, the front desk had fresh cookies waiting for guests, which were quite welcome after several hours in the car! Check in process was easy and all of the staff at the hotel was friendly and extremely helpful. We used the hot tub before dinner and this was large and hot and excellent for sore muscles. Our room looked to be newly renovated, […] with a large bedroom area with separate large bathroom/shower. The shower was new with lovely soaps and shampoos. The bed was extremely comfortable and sheets were bright white and clean. We had a microfridge and coffee maker, but take advantage of the continental breakfast, which was nicer than most with breads, muffins, yogurt, fruit, waffles, hard boiled eggs, and even gluten free items. The breakfast staff was sweet and attentive, constantly bringing hot coffee to everyone's table. The breakfast area was enormous, everyone in the hotel could probably be there and eat comfortably around the motel's beautiful patio and yard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be back. It is a very nice motel with great owners and staff. They obviously care about their facilities. Thank you for a lovely stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Has 'Taos' written all over it!"
Loved our stay. Wife was very pleased (and she's rather picky!) so our visit and stay met or exceeded our expectations. El Pueblo is an old, charming, well kept and maintained lovely motel. It is clearly a town favorite for those who've visited before, and it will be our choice the next time we visit Taos. The towels and bedding were a hit with my wife, […] and I loved the charming (if not quaint) continental breakfast nook with indoor/outdoor seating. Our second floor room had close in parking and easy access to the stairs, plus a balcony on the opposite side of our room. The grounds were well kept in southwestern Taos style and we loved it. Nice hot tub. Decent breakfast with fresh fruit and gluten free offerings. Rooms are dated but clean and beds and pillows are comfortable. Nice to have a fireplace on the cold spring evenings. Kids loved cookies at 3pm. Centrally located. Reception gave great food recos.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The lodge is within walking distance in Taos"
I liked how close the Lodge was to downtown Taos. You can walk to galleries, museums and restaurants easily. The rooms were comfortable and very attractive. Good mattress, nice bathroom, nice bedding and towels. We liked the staff who are uniformly friendly and a few of them are charming. The breakfast was standard and did have fresh fruit salad but […] it was my least favorite thing because the fruit salad wasn't that good and though there were some healthy options, they weren't really healthy. Instant quaker oatmeal, for example, is healthier than lucky charms but I'd rather have granola. I'd like healthier baked goods like a good bread or muffin. Still, as continental breakfasts go, it was standard and probably has more variety than many hotels. The coffee was weak. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Loved el pueblo!"
Great getaway! Awesome hot tub and breakfast on the patio. Would definitely stay again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I picked El Pueblo based on great reviews and great location and it did not disappoint. The hotel is just wonderful. They've taken an older property and really made it nice. The rooms are big, well decorated and furnished, and comfortable. There is a fire place and they provided the firewood, which was perfect on a cool Spring evening. The hot tub was […] large and clean. Again, perfect on a cool Spring evening. HIGHLY recommended for a Taos getaway. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Classic motel from a bygone era, but thoroughly renovated, with a particularly friendly staff and a very extensive breakfast included. "Not often impressed, El Pueblo Lodge changed that"
I have never reviewed a hotel in my life, because nothing has ever delivered above and beyond my expectations quite like El Pueblo Lodge. "Long-time Taos establishment"
Spent 2 nights in March 2014. Our room was in a one story bldg. similar to the old style motels where door opens to the outside so you can park in front of your room. Very clean and reasonably priced for Taos. Beds softer than what I typically sleep on but very comfortable. Have an excellent continental breakfast. On main road thru Taos and four or […] five block from the Plaza. During warm weather small grassy area where kids could play-- as well as a swimming pool. Would stay again. "Amazing King Room with fireplace!"
Totally enjoyed our stay. We got there with blowing snow but thankfully we had reserved a room with a fireplace. Very comfortable room. Only disappointment was that we had reserved a King room & they gave us keys to a double Queen. It was rectified immediately and the rest of the stay was awesome!
