This was a decent stay. The price was good. The hotel wasn't quite as pet friendly as I had expected...as in, there weren't a lot of spaces to take the dog out to walk and potty. The location of the hotel is also very strange...it shares a parking lot with a shopping center, and you have to turn into the shopping center to even get to the hotel. The service here was excellent. My rate was $85 for a single night with a king-size bed. It was a treat to also have a leather recliner in my room, plus a fridge and microwave. The only main drawback was that the exercise room could have used better equipment, as the one weight machine was rather awkward to operate. (Plus someone stole the remote from […] the room.) Also, the floor of the pool room was a bit cracked. But those are minor inconveniences, since there is an AnyTime Fitness within a short walk. We were very pleased with our night at La Quinta. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean and the beds were comfy. The fitness room was minimal which is typical of hotels. There was a TV but no remote so we worked out in silence (should have remembered my ipod). This hotel is dog friendly which is a plus for us. It was not a bad experience at all, but I did feelt hat for a no-smoking hotel, the smell of stale smoke was very prevalent on our floor an din our room. I also smelled fresh cigarette smoke as I walked through the third floor.

We have stayed at several La Quinta Inns all over the country. This one by far was the best one to date. Would definetly stay here again when needed. Breakfast was very good and relaxed, plenty of time to enjoy and kick back before we had to leave in the morning. It was right by the interstate no hassles.

4 adults stayed in the room for 3 nights. the only problem we had was having to request more towels every day. They only left 3 sets. Maybe a bit of variety in the breakfast would be nice. Maybe some canadian bacon or sausage to go with the eggs, esp. for those you do not eat sausage gravy. Otherwise food was good, service great

In the two weeks we stayed there with our pet, we found the hotel to be clean, in a safe neighborhood, and conveniently close to the places we needed to visit. Person that checked me in I don't think really wants to work there. I could see the laundry room from where you stand to check in, so she must have been doing laundry while checking guests in? The only thing she told me was where the elevator was, not the POOL or SPA tub, not when the breakfast was served, or did I need a wake up call. Breakfast kind […] of a JOKE, pastries wrapped in a clear wrap? and they were STALE. Only 7 tables to eat at, so YOU had better get there early. even though Fort Wayne was experiencing power loss due to a really bad storm, the hotel was able to accommodate us as well as a number of individuals experiencing a power outing and a big convention in town of Honda Wing Dings. Even with all these stresses, the hotel's staff were excellent in their service.

When booking this hotel, it only had a 3.5 star rating. I decided to look at the customer reviews to see what they had to say...they rated it at a 4.5 star rating. So, I booked it. I was pleasantly surprised to see how clean the lobby and our room was. The bedding on the beds were top rated and oh so comfortable! The food at breakfast was very good […] and the employees were very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely reserve this hotel again. If I had one thing to say that was negative, it would be that the plush pillows were too big. I am use to sleeping with a thin pillow or none at all. But for anyone else...I'd say that you will love the fluffiness of the pillows, mattress, and comforter! Read more

The last morning (check-out day) there was no hot water in the shower. It was lukewarm for about a minute, then just slowly dropped. It was terrible. That was very disappointing. Most of the staff was friendly, but don't take the stairs. The back stairways were so dirty it was disgusting. Everything from crumbs and food laying on the floor to papers […] and dirty washcloths. Those things did NOT disappear during my 2 day stay either. Breakfast was pretty ok, I did hear during the week they have meat & eggs, and the weekends you can make your own waffle. I visit the area often, every couple of months, and have stayed at several hotels in the area including this one. This is not my first choice. The hotel, thogh clean, is tired and showing it's age. The continental breakfast is disspappointing compared to what comperable hotels are offereing; being on a per diem this is one of the little things that […] play into my choice. It was disappointing to step right off the elevators to our floor and smell a stale smoke smell. We requested a non-smoking room. However, every time the air came on in the room it smelled like cigarettes. This was a concern because I'm allergic and my daughter has asthma.
