"Comfy bed, free shuttle & wifi..."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
I liked my overnight here. It's quirky but not charmless. Called for a complimentary pickup from the roadway just outside MAD Term 2 using my mobile (Americans: make sure your phone is enabled for intl calling BEFORE you depart the U.S.). There's signage with a few dozen hotel numbers including Best Western Hotel Villa De Barajas. Remember you'll need to dial the country code "+34" in front of the rest of the number. A van was dispatched and arrived quickly. The check-in counter inside the tiny reception area feels rather like a car rental kiosk. Check-in was quick and my questions were answered efficiently. I found the room to be smallish but very clean and the bed firm, as I desire. The bathroom, also small, was nevertheless a standout: spotlessly clean, modern and with good shower water pressure. There were a few English-speaking tv channels, as I recall, but when I landed on CNBC Intl (financial news) my wish had come true. I had takeout from the Chinese restaurant across the road, pretty good. Overhead halogen lights above the bed in Rm 204 could possibly sear your retinas. I didn't have breakfast in the room adjacent to the lobby but complimentary freshly brewed coffee dispensed from the machine in the bar was excellent. I'd stay again.
"Very good for overnight layovers"Reviewed by Shlomo L of "Israel" on Apr 8, 2012
Clean room, good service, nice shower, quiet neighborhood. Didn't hear an airplanes at night despite being a few minutes from the airport. The shuttle was waiting for us when we landed and we had no problems getting back the next morning. Also, the Metro is a 10 minute walk away - at most. Will defnitely be back.
"Quirky but fit the bill"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 5, 2012
My flight from France to Spain was cancelled, and the next flight brought me in too late for my flight to the US. So I quickly needed a decent hotel near the airport. I had read the reviews, so was not surprised by the 15-20 minute shuttle ride to this nice but quirky hotel. The food was MUCH better than I had expected, with the buffet nearly as good for breakfast as my nicest buffet on this long trip. Dinner from the hotel cafe was quite reasonable and just what I needed after a nasty day. The walk across the unheated corridor between the two buildings was a little startling in the freezing weather, and the lobby next door was unheated. But when I got to my room, I had a nice bed, good free Wifi, a comfortable tub for a hot bath, and a good night's sleep. The staff arranged for my return shuttle and made sure I got on it in the morning.
"Convenient - and very swift pick up service"Reviewed by sarah B of "orlando, fl" on Nov 21, 2011
You'll cling on for your life in the hostal vicky shuttle but you wont waste any time getting to and from the airport! My room was clean and well equiped. Close to small local restaurants and shops. Not a vacation spot but perfect for a brief layover.
"Hotel Husa El Bedel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 27, 2011
The hotel was charming in its location in Alcala De Henares, Spain. It was located on one side of a square that people actually walked through and enjoyed the day and night. A wedding took place while there, and the bride and groom had pictures taken in and around the square. The food at a tavern/cafeteria located around the corner to the hotel was delicious. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The two day expericen was just wonderful. I highly recommend the Husa El Bedel to everyone.

Very nice, clean hotel. Parking was a little "tight" and there was a daily charge for this (i.e not included in room rate) Very conveniently located near main highway and near downtown and all the central tourist sights. Still impossible to get coffee before 8:00 AM unless one uses room service but this seems to be an inherent problem throughout Sp […] ain. Read more

"Inmejorable estancia"

Read more
