"Excellent hotel in perfect location ..."
Just had a couple of days to spend in Miami and booked at the last minute - The Mutineer however was, luckily, them place to go and everything from booking to check-out went without a hitch. Rooms and staff were excellent - if there was a fly in the ointment, paying for parking was a bit disappointing but otherwise a wonderful stay in a wonderful location […] with everything in Miami as accessible as it can be. Great room for the price, and close to all the Miami attractions at a fraction of the cost!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel close to Coconut Grove"
We were very pleased to find the hotel so close to the many stores/restaurants/etc. of Coconut Grove. Easy access to walking paths along the bayshore and to a nearby park. The ONLY parking alternative is Valet - $25 per day. Somehow I missed that piece of info until arrival. (also, remember to allot time for retrieval of the car when needed - can take […] some time if they are busy with other requests...) We were pleased with friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Only dissappointment was the absence of a wake-up call on the morning of our departure; we awoke on our own 15 minutes late, but had allotted ample time for our departure. (Never recieved an apology on that either.) We would stay there again. Over all, a pleasant stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

the hotel was nice but everyone that worked there was courteous, helpful and polite. made the stay worthwhile.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Well located, partially satisfied"
The Mutiny is very good, but the room cleanliness needs better work ( too much dust and spots in the carpet ). There is also no black out courtains in the bedroom, so you wake with with the early day light ( very basic issue ).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Awesome staff and a beautiful property. The room was very spacious and well-appointed. It was a perfect two day getaway. The hotel is quiet, tranquil and luxurious. Only a few minutes walk to downtown Coconut Grove and Scotty's Landing. I would definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice 4/5 star hotel"
Very satisfied with this hotel. Only disappointment was the parking. There is no self parking only valet and the cost is $25 a day! We were able to find parking within walking distance from the hotel which was on average $6 a day. No continental breakfast which was a shock as well. Overall we were very satisfied. We will visit againGenuine Expedia guest review
"We would stay somewhere else next time."
This hotel is just okay. The air conditioning units in all of the rooms are quite noisy. Even the front desk clerk acknowledged that everyone complains about that. The bathroom counter was too small and the cabinet showed some decay near the floor. The towel rack was a little loose and we could see rust forming near the joints. Housekeeping comes fairly […] early in the morning and if you're not ready, you need to tell them to come back at a specific time, or else your room will not be serviced. Since it's a small hotel, the housekeeping staff is only there for a few hours in the morning. They have mandatory valet parking at $25/day plus tax. The furniture in the living room showed some wear and tear and there were stains on the sofa. The bed was saggy and squeaked a little getting in and out. The staff tried to accomodate us in locating a room with a quieter AC unit. The bedroom of the first unit was very small; the second one was better. The bathroom door opens very close to the sink, so you have to have it all of the open or all of the way closed. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was beautiful and very well situated. Coco Walk and the centre of Coconut Grove was within very easy walking distance. The full kitchen was great. The bathroom was good, though there was room for improvement in terms of the cleaning...I saw a hair in the bidet which was not from me!!! Ugh. The in-room complimentary coffee was not replenished […] after our first day. We had a great view from our room too. Complimentary coffee in the lobby would have been great, and complimentary apples or cookies or popcorn in the afternoon would have been a nice touch. The mandatory valet parking was burdensome. I would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Needs more attention to detail from cleaning staff"
The staff was wonderful, overall very polite and helpful. There was, however, no attention to detail given by the cleaning staff. My room was not very clean when I arrived (hair on bathroom floor, unclean toilet, etc.) and was not thoroughly cleaned any of the days I stayed. I was not given refreshed/filled bottles of shampoo and conditioner during […] a Friday to Monday stay. Polite staff, unclean room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Acceptable, although marginally"
The room was satisfactory, we had a unit with a washer and dryer, which was very good -- however, there was no laundry detergent made available. The hot water faucet in the bathroom did not work, the tile in the bathroom was old and worn and in need of update. The kitchen has no dish towels, so we had to use bathroom towels, we could have used some […] salt and pepper, even perhaps a small bottle of cooking oil (we have stayed in numerous condos that have a bountiful array of spices and cooking essentials that we, as guests, all leave behind -- given that there is a restaurant on site, it would have been easy to place some basic items in the kitchen). The throw pillows on the bed were worn and smelled musty and dirty, the bedding had seen better days -- the bed ruffle was oversized and dragging on the floor. However, the staff was generally rude, that was our biggest disappointment. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"very nice hotel"
dont stay in rooms that face the front on lower floors because it will make sleeping at night a problem, youll hear every vehicle coming in and out and the music that plays in front of the hotel even with the loud a/c system on.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very well located, apartment kind of environment. The pool is small, with a 24h gym just a few feet away.Genuine Expedia guest review
"No Bounty at the Muntany"
Terribly overpriced. You will pay an additional 10 bucks per night for Wifi access and 25 dollars per day for mandatory Valet parking. An over priced menu and lousy staff.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Mary visiting UM daughter"
This is a great place to stay when you are travelling with 3 or 4 people who want to hang out together. We always get a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite and it has a kitchen, living room and balcony. It is perfect if you want to have a glass of wine or a light breakfast together.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I had a mixed experience, some very good things and some not so good. The suite was perfect size for us traveling with a toddler so he could nap and sleep in a separate room. Bed was comfortable. Nice small kitchen with laundry. Set up like 1 BR condo. The upkeep was OK: the room was clean and nice, however, there were unsightly loose wires hanging […] from behind the TV and a broken ice machine in the freezer. Parking was $25/ day extra. Pay parking is typical for Miami it seems. I was not happy with our initial greeting by doorman, he basically ignored us and left us to handle our luggage and toddler without assistance. However, the rest of the staff we met was exceptional! Walking distance to Coconut Grove area, shopping, grocery, and marina. We would probably stay here again because the room set up was perfect for traveling with children. Just make sure to safety lock the windows if you have small kids. The only regret was not having a room with a balcony. We need to ask for that next time as the price was the same. We wanted to be outdoors. USed the pool area a lot and that worked well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A Mutiny may be necessary..."
For a property that bills itself (and guests) as "high end", there are certainly issues which need to be addressed. Charging for in-room internet in this day and age is ridiculous, plain and simple! They will adjust it if you firmly ask them to. The plumbing needs serious attention; we had to change rooms and the controls in the shower & shower head […] were still unacceptable. The bed was uncomfortable and uneven, though the linens were fine. Foam rubber pillows didn't add to a good night's sleep, either. Personally, I've had better rooms at economy hotels. "Just for two"
Pleased with our stay. Howeverrrrr, if you need to use the sofa bed, you are better off sleeping on a bed of nails. The sofa bed is awful. I was told they are being changed. The beds are very comfortable. We upgraded to a two bedroom suite, and it was perfect. The suite did not have carpeting, which we love. The one bedroom did. The suite was all light […] colors and looked fresh; the one bedroom looked dark. The staff was excellent! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Full kitchens, and in Coconut Grove"
We stayed here for 2 nights recently to attend the Sony Open on Key Biscayne. The Good: Nice location near the water on Biscayne Bay, very close to CocoWalk in Coconut Grove. It was previously a condo, so all units have full kitchens. Friendly staff. There was nothing truly bad, but some of downside was the parking cost, but i guess all big city hotels […] in swank locations do this now. Other than that, tiny issues with room such as loud creeky mattress getting into/out of bed. The "H" and "C" in the guest shower was reversed. Overall, will prob stay here again. "Good for family."
I was not pleased by staff services: 1) I had a problem with safety box. I made 4 calls and waited almost 30 minutes for some one to come up. 2) I changed room and forgot the Black Berry charge in the old room. I called front desk and they found it, but I had to make 3 calls to remind them to bring it to me. 3) After checking out, the door men didn't […] help us to load the laggages on to taxi as they stood there chatting. "Great find in Miami, just down from Vizcaya"
We were very happy to find a full kitchen and washer/dryer in our condo/hotel room. The hotel is well located in Coconut Grove, just a short drive to Lincoln Road or Miami Beach, but at a much lower price than anything available there. The room was large. The whole hotel looked very clean, but it was the staff that really made this a place to return […] to. They smiled every time upon greeting us, even the valet knew me by name. We came in for the South Beach Food and Wine Festival and found a local Greek Festival and discovered Vizcaya. Miami is a beautiful city and The Mutiny will become our place to return to. "Repeat Customers -- Another Great Stay"
This was our second stay at the Mutinty and we were reminded again what a great place this is to stay. For us, traveling with small children, the Mutiny can't be beat with in-room washer dryer and a full kitchen with dishwasher. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The only downside to the Mutinty is the mandatory valet parking and outrageous […] daily fee. We would definitely stay here again though! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Staff could use more suport/training!"
My room check-in was delayed until after 5 pm for missteps related to cleaning my room . After an initial wait, I was set to room only to learn it still had not been cleaned; this wasted a couple of hours. On the positive side, the very nice manager "comped" my internet and valet parking charges.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Staff, but tired property..."
First off, the positive: the service at the Mutiny was excellent. We were greeted nicely by the gentleman at the valet desk, and then every time we saw anyone on staff. Very friendly. We were in room 205, with a balcony that looked out over the parking lot. Our room was pretty noisy - conversations going in the car park and loud cars driving past about […] 10 feet from our balcony during the night. There were many things that didn't work or were worn out. The stove had a knob that dangled loose. When my wife opened the nice cloth bag that the hairdryer comes in, the hairdryer came out in pieces. Wobbly lamps, a broken bathroom faucet (they did send a nice maintenance guy to *sort of* fix it promptly), and a big dirty swath on the bedroom ceiling were noticeable. Oh, and little drips and blobs of paint on countertops and trim from a hasty paint job at some point. I've stayed in hotel rooms that had these problems before, but that's the kind of condition I expect from a $79 room at a truckstop motel. I spent more than 3 times that per night for this stay. Again, not to be mean-spirited... Melody at the front desk and everyone on the staff were professional and eager to please. I can't say enough about the people there. Overall, next time I'm in Miami, I'll find another place. It'll cost a bit more, but I'll have the warm memories of the Mutiny's great staff to ease the pain. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"make sure the stream room works""
The stream room wasn't working they always Saaid Tukey were gonna fix it but they never did!!Genuine Expedia guest review
While I would stay at the mutiny hotel again, there is definitely room for improvement. The one bedroom rooms are tight for four. But, in fairness, that is to be expected. If you're planning to sleep one or two on the foldout sofa, beware. The bed on the sofa is very uncomfortable. It was kind of like sleeping on the chain-link fence. Otherwise. The […] main bed was comfortable. The rooms were cleaedn adequately. It seems to me that if they visited an IKEA, and spent about $100 per room, they could really make some nice improvements. The room we stayed in, was not adequately lit. It could it could use a $20 floor lamp! The real highlight at the mutiny is the pool and the outdoor patio area. The restaurant is also good. Reliable breakfasts, drinks, good sandwiches, et cetera. The staff was friendly and helpful. Location is great. It's within walking distance of a lot of Coconut Grove's best restaurants. There's a nice little park right across the street where you can work out. There's a jogging trail. We would stay again. It would be great if they would make some small improvements in the rooms. "Coconuts about Mutiny hotel"
Luxury accommodation and location. Had a really great time.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great staff, not so great mattress..."
Although the room was not overly luxurious, the staff more than made up for it. They were incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We were welcomed by everyone, almost like as if we were family. The bed, unfortunately, was not comfortable. The linens were great, but the mattress itself was a bit lumpy. I believe this may be because it is a owner's […] unit and serves as a part-time residence.
