We were very satisfied with everything at Hotel Dolmen. All personnel were very helpful, courteous, and friendly. All details were anticipated and executed very well. The facility itself was tastefully decorated and the location convenient.

Reviews from previous travelers were spot on. Clean hotel, friendly staff that spoke English, close to central financial district. Only negative was that the breakfast was ordinary and wireless was sporatic. But for the price, Dolmen Hotel is a good value and suited our needs on the business trip.

The hotel is great. Internet is FREE even in the rooms... Where else can you get that in Buenos Aires?? Swimming pool on top roof is fun after a day of shopping. Staff is helpful and very, very friendly. Recommended!

The Dolman Hotel for the price was fine, I don't know why I expected more for the price. Our room was small with two twin beds after I requested a king size bed. The carpet was badly stained in many places so I would not walk barefoot. The bathroom although old was clean. The staff was very helpful at the front desk. My wife and I stayed for one week at the Dolmen for our honeymoon in Bs. As. The staff were friendly and helpful (though some of the breakfast workers were grumpy). The hotel was clean and in good working condition. Our room was clean and comfortable although it was rather small, but not bad for a couple (big bed). There was no hot water after 3am but […] by the time we woke up the showers were fine. The air conditioning was working properly and the temperature of the room was very comfortable throughout our stay. The included breakfast was very good although repetitive (everyday scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, cheese, croissants, toast, cereal, fresh fruit, juices (kind of skimpy here-only orange juice and grapefruit juice), coffee, champagne (weird I know!), yogurt, and some other stuff I never ate). A slight inconvenience was that we could hear when our neighbors flushed their toilettes and we could hear voices and doors slamming in the hallway outside our rooms. Luckily, the other residents were respectful and did not make a lot of noise. The location is good-1 block away from Avenida 9 de Julio, 2 blk away from a subterraneo/subway station, 3 blk away from Plaza San Martin, 4 blk away from Avenida Florida, a walk to Obelisko. A grocery store a few blk away. The neighborhood is descent, seemed safe. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to a friend if he/she were to visit Bs. As. sometime soon. The Dolmen Hotel is great. We stayed at several other hotels in and around Buenos Aires and other parts of Argentina and this was by far the best. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful, most spoke fluent english and if they didn't they would point you in the direction of someone who could better assist you. Our room was very large (much larger […] then other european style rooms we found during our trip) and featured a large closet, large bathroom, flatscreen TV, and two double beds. Much nicer then the smaller ones we'd encountered previously. The maid staff was also very attentive, a couple times we'd leave for an hour and come back to find our room completely cleaned and turned out. The location is perfect as it is close to San Martin, Florida St., the Obelisk, and Central Buenos Aires in general. It is also within a decent walking distance to Recoleta and a cheap cab ride to Palermo. Overall definitely the best hotel we stayed in Argentina and we had stayed in other "Five Star" hotels. After a week at the Dolmen, we wished we could have had another week! Yes, our stay was that good. We liked the location, which was close to all transportation, main sights, and the famed Calle Florida pedestrian shopping street. We appreciated the cleanliness, the friendly personnel ready to help with restaurant or bus and subway information, the maids […] who came twice a day, the functioning airconditioning, the toiletries, the minibar, the abundant breakfasts (which provided a newspaper in English, and even Champagne.) We didn't sample that, but it was nice that it was offered. We didn't sample the pool either, but we looked at it, and again, it was nice to have it available. Our third floor room faced a wall, but was in the back, as requested, so we were away from street noises. In short, the Dolmen and its location was exactly what we had hoped for. The one thing we missed was a TV news channel in English -- CNN was there, but in Spanish. So we can recommend a stay here. Ours was as good or better than we expected for the price we had paid. Hotel is on a narrow street but lots of traffic and is safe. Walking distance to touristy areas and lots of restaurants. Corner store within 30 seconds from hotel for water, soft drinks, ice cream and chips. Tour pick ups were not a problem from this hotel - many tour companies came to pick up guests each morning. T.V. has lots of channels including many english movie channels and American shows.
