I was only in the hotel 12 hours, but its convenient to both Central Station and Queens, very comfy and friendly staff. The pool looked nice (I didn't bring my suit) but the treadmills are a wee bit tired.

This unstylish but comfortable, clean and efficient hotel is somewhat of a bargain. It's in what appears to be a somewhat industrial and run down neighbourhood, but is, in fact, only about a 10 minute walk from the central station and central city. Toilet in room 617 wasn't working properly, called for assistance at least four separate times over two days and problem wasn't resolved. No offer to change rooms made. Bar service awful with inexperienced and overworked staff. Have stayed in Menzies hotels in past, this by far was the worst. It was my last.

Menzies is a great hotel right in downtown Glasgow. The location is excellent because it's by the river and very quiet. 5 minute walk to Central Station. The room was very clean and well appointed. Likely the quietest hotel in town ( a dead end street). The hot tub/spa and the pool are full to the brim and are just the right temperature. Five minutes walk to Central Station, but 15 minute walk to Queen Street Station.

A lovely, spacious room wilth all amenities. Complete hotel services including swimming pool and Spa. Great breakfast! On the edge of the centre, about a ten minute walk to the commercial area but a tour bus stop right outside.

This 4 star hotel is clean and comfortable. Best of all is its location, being next to a train and bus station (just outside of the hotel) and 10 to 15 minutes walking to the convention center and 10 to 15 minutes walking to the main train station and downtown.

Firstly on a positive note would say the staff were extremely friendly, couldn't fault them one bit! Disappointed with evening meal, choices weren't that nice and when main meal came I was given wrong dish in which the waitress told me I hadn't, the manager straight away noticed I had been given wrong dish and took it away in which time my partner was […] eating and I was waiting and when it came it was very disappointing , so much for romantic dinner!!! Our toilet and bath was blocked and when I said to staff they were on it straight away or so I thought as it never got fixed or mentioned to me, I never complained at end of stay and wish I did. I have stayed her several times before. Service is good and staff are helpfull. Breakfast is OK - with cooked items not so good as the cereals/bread etc. Travel is very convenient as taxis can be picked up in front of the Marriot across the road. Anderston suburban rail station is also across the road ( hidden under the Kingston bridge!)

Most enjoyable stay, the facilities were excellent and we really enjoyed our swim in the morning. Although just outside the centre of Glasgow, the taxi ride was quick and cheap. Dinner was excellent, the food very nice indeed.

stayed at the Menzies for a night on business. Lucky to get a car parking space in a part of the car park which was not flooded. Also the graffiti and apparent safety of the car park clearly needs to be improved. Hotel staff very friendly and professional. Hotel itself could do with a lick f paint and just a general freshening up. The room was clean, […] spacious and in good order with a good range of tea/coffee and toiletteries. However the bathroom did smell damp. Biggest disappointment was breakfast - got me tea when I asked for coffee and took ages to rectify it. Fruit was not fresk and pastries stodgy and soggy. Stayed a couple of nights for some post-Christmas sale shopping and to take in a few of Glasgow's sights. Got a warm welcome at reception in pretty foul weather. Chose Menzies for location and good value parking. Good service and good food in nice surroundings for dinner one night and breakfast both mornings. Visited Glasgow for Christmas shopping and the hotel is only five minutes from the shops, so ideally located. Would use again. Only downside is the paking over the road in a fenced area that might be a little intimidating for lone/female travellers.

Expensive as into 3 figures for 1 night B&B (sorry on here can't say exact amount paid!) Reception/bar/dining room very nice, spotless and lovely receptionist. Bedrooms/bathrooms sadly bit dated now although lovely big rooms and again spotless but they are uncomfortably warm and temp control made very little difference. On top of that cant open windows, […] at all. Leisure centre ver nice decent size pool and water pleasant temp. Changing rooms however had a "border" around the edges of the floor which were filthy. Mops obviously didn't stretch that far? Shame as otherwise lovely. Breakfast very good, big choice inc hot & continental and all lovely & fresh. Car park secure and just on other side of street from hotel. Website says £3 per night but we weren't charged. All in all nice stay but seem just need make few improvements by updating rooms, check cleaning and draft drinks, cola & soda water in bar were undrinkable! Overall a very good place to stay, but a bit more of a walk to centre of town than we thought. Food in restaurant was good and staff were helpful and friendly. Only complaint - fridge in room was not working properly and seemed to be heating items rather than cooling them!
