Kyriad Paris Sud - Porte D'Ivry - Ivry-sur-Seine

It was the worst experience I ever had with a hotel. I had a small trip to Paris for 3 days, and I booked a room for 3 people at Kyriad ( 2 queen size beds ). After a long trip when we got there thet told us that those rooms a not available , they are used by other guest and they are giving us another room , as they said for 2 people. When we saw that […] room I was shocked, a small room with a twin size bed for 3 of us ... while they were having a lot of free queen rooms. They didn't accept to give us 2 rooms, and treat us disrespectful and root. We had to call local French Police to clarify this situation. Thanks God the Police was normal, they pushed them to give us 2 regular rooms. When you plan a trip to Paris ... nobody would like to have this kind of experience. Don't even think to stay there. We wanted to stay in Paris for a week to get our Daughter started in an exchange program there. This hotel was, in August, the lowest price for a location reasonably close to the center of Paris. The hotel staff was good and helpful. The room was very small (we got a triple, and were always over each others luggage, etc. The location is convenient, […] being about 5 blocks walk to the Porte d'Ivry metro station with convenient service to all of Paris. There is a great supermarket 2 blocks away on the Ave d'Ivry slightly south of the hotel. There are also a handful of small eating places along the same avenue. The breakfast in the Hotel was very good! With a car, access to the Periphique (the best road to get around Paris) is fantastic. Can jump to Versailles, for example, in a short 20 or 30 minutes. However, going into paris, its best to leave you car in the garage, except possibly on Sunday when parking places are free and somewhat available. Read more

A good budget stay. Rooms were very clean and comfortable (if a bit on the small side), staff were helpful and friendly. A Metro station and a good selection of restaurants were within a couple of minutes walk. Would definitely stay here again!

First the good news: The staff in this hotel were lovely - friendly, helpful, multilingual. The breakfast was good - a plentiful buffet. There was very little noise from outside despite being next to a main road. The bad news is that the approach to the hotel is down one of two streets neither of which I (a woman travelling alone on this occasion) would […] walk down by myself after dark as they are quite lonely, quiet streets. Both of the receptionists were not very friendly or helpful. We had to wait for our room when we arrived since they had some problem with electricity. She would not offer us a drink at the bar or even a seat at the hall. The other receptionist when I asked for a coffe next morning asked me "whats your problem" because he did not understand my english. […] It also took like 15 minutes to get a coffee with milk. The Hotel is location close to Metro and Tram station with easy access to all over Paris. Air-Conditioning worked well. Rooms are very small but all amenities were present. I stayed for 4 nights the end of August. Hotel staff very helpful. No complains at all. Shall stay again. Good conection to Orly airport as well.

Kyriad is very conveniently located in a Paris suburb that isn't very noisy, and didn't seem to have any unnecessary nuisance from gangs or any such unwanted elements. It's less than 10 minutes from the Port D'Ivry metro station and has several small eating joints and restaurants and boulangeries. I thought the hotel was disgusting. There were 3 single size beds that favoured cots. The room smelled like sweaty socks. The only pluses were that the hotel was close to Paris' well connected subway system and they provided free wifi, but that lagged in speed when trying to stream videos.

The hotel is a little away from the city centre (only 25 mins) but its very well connected by metro (M7) and tram services (T3) . The stop's name is Porte D'Ivry. The hotel is 6-8 mins walk from the metro/tram stop. The neighbouring area has nice restaurants (chinese, japanese, turkish and others) if you dont want to eat in the hotel. We did Paris on a shoestring budget and this hotel offered great value if we were willing to compromise on a central location. As we are from London travelling on the metro is an everday thing and it was only about 20 mins to all the sights so we were happy to do this. The downside was the air con wasn't very efficient and the room did get very hot. The hotel is a short walk down quite a lonely street so I would be nervous about walking it alone but we didn't see any trouble. Our stay at Kyriad was not good. The room smelt of smoke even though it was non-smoking. Worse still was that the manger had organised for a loud religious ceremony with preaching, singing, piano playing, clapping, etc for Sunday morning in the room next door (with a wooden boarded up connecting door). This was obviously so loud that it woke us up. […] We complained at the reception and the staff were very apologetic, but said that the manager does this every week, and every week customers complain. It seems that he is very inconsiderate and doesn't care about his guests. D not book this hotel, just spend a tiny bit extra and go somewhere that actually cares about their guests. Read more

wir waren mit baby dort, nachdem das bett nicht mehr mit ins zimmer gepasst hat habe wir schnell und unkompliziert ein 4 personen zimmer bekommen. optimal! Ansonsten ist die Anbindung mit Metro und Bus linien ganz gut, man fährt allerdings schon einige zeit bis man im stadtzentrum ist (aber das ist in paris ja sowieso ein dehnbarer begriff)
