My husband and I stayed at City Inn for 1 night in September 2008. I'd seen photos on Hotels.com so knew the rooms were decent but was still pleasantly surprised when we got to our room. The room was very clean with enough room for our short stay, the room may be a tiny bit on the small side if you're staying for a longer period or have lots of luggage. The bathroom has a shower only and no bath tub which suited us fine, the shower room is quite small but very clean and the shower cubicle is a good size. The bed is one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in and wasn't eager to get out of it the next morning. A bonus is that each room has an Apple Mac which is hooked up to quite a large selection of satellite channels and also has free unlimited internet access which is a great added extra! The only two minor negatives I have are that the mini bar is locked and can only be openned by a key provided by reception which is a bit inconvenient and the room service choice after midnight is not great + they also charge a £3 tray charge for all room service orders. My sister, cousin and two other friends also stayed in this hotel at the same time and were all very impressed. I'd definately recommend this to anyone else who is thinking of visiting Bristol.

A great location for a reasonably-priced hotel, everything you need is there and the rooms and bathrooms are clean and tidy. A little cramped for a long stay, but ideal for a short stop-over. Stayed at the City inn for just one night for a break in our long journey back from Cornwall to Windermere. One of my worries about staying in a city hotel is the car parking - how much? availability etc, but this was ideal. £8 for a full 24 hours stay and if you time it right then there's plenty of spaces. Very easy to find too. A nice stroll through the park to the main bars/restaurants made its location perfect. The rooms were as well presented as any hilton I've stayed in with all the nice touches including toiletries, iron, hairdryer, robes, aircon, tea & coffee, wine glasses, bottle opener, ice box, and free imac use which doubles up as your tv. Very nice modern hotel. Will be going back to Bristol to stay in this hotel, and will try the others around Manchester & Leeds. Perfect stay!

City Inn is a good solid budget choice. We stayed there on a Saturday night. The service was efficient, we were able to check in straight away despie arriving a little early. The room was well appointed, spotlessly clean and the bed supremely comfortable. Breakfast was the standard cooked breakfast with buffet choice of cereals, juice etc. Service at breakfast could have been a little bit more attentive but this is a minor quibble. The hotel is around 10 minutes walk to the centre of Bristol, 30-40 minutes to some of the more interesting sights. It is very quiet and we enjoyed an excellent night's sleep.

A delightfully comfortable hotel with very helpful and friendly staff but breakfast was a let down. Saturday morning the toast was cold and the coffee strong enought to build on. Sunday they had wedding guests from Saturday and breakfast was a disaster, nothing was replenished as it ran out. However everything we asked for was brought fairly promptly, but we did have to ask for almost everything. A wee bit of planning wouldn't have gone astray. Hotel is across a small quiet road from a lovely little park, a ten to fifteen minute walk from the Harbourside area and five minutes walk from Temple Meads train station and the airport bus stop.

City Inn is a typical new syle 4* hotel aimed at the business and weekend leisure traveller. For people arriving at Temple Meads Station, its just under a ten minute walk though you need to good map to work out the route from the station. The hotel is located on Temple Way, a busy thorough fare. There is little nearby in terms of shops or green areas. The City Centre entertainment and shopping areas are about a ten minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is fairly new with bland decoation in the reception and public areas. Staff were friendly and efficient. We only sampled the bar food menu and it was good value for money, quick service and reasonable quality food. The highlight in the bedrooms were the APPLE consoles whcih provided access to the internet, TV, Radio as well as an inclusive DVD and CD player. Otherwiseh, the bedrooms were adequate in size. Bathrooms had showers with complimentary WHITES OF LONDON toiletries. In summary, a reasonable standard hotel, good value, fairly central with friendly, efficient staff.
