For the price paid this hotel is totally worth the money. Free breakfast and no resort fees! Location right on fremont. Hotel staff were very nice compared to some higher priced hotels. Front desk was friendly at check in. Valet guys were nice. Breakfast was awesome. Room was a little dated and tired but for the rate paid it was clean, quiet and safe.

The room was a steal at the price, and it was right on the strip. Only complaints /i had were poor lobby lay-out (had to ask where the check in desk was) and poor room and elevator maintenance, the elevators shook so bad i thought we could plunge to the bottom at any moment.

Location.
Conveniently near the airport, Royal Resort is in Las Vegas (The Strip), close to Fashion Show Mall, Las Vegas Convention Center, and Sands Expo Convention Center. Also nearby are The Shoppes at the Palazzo and Las Vegas Country Club.
Hotel Features.
Royal Resort has an outdoor pool and a fitness facility. Public areas are equipped with wireless Internet access (surcharges apply). There is a business center on site. "Okay, but not great"
I did this through Groupon and LV was really the only warm option to me with the time share restrictions. That was fine, but this is really not a time share place, it is a hotel. Have stayed at time shares before and they are much much better. This is a hotel room with a mini fridge. After two nights I got upgraded and that at least was a huge improvement […] (being bedroom amd living room with sofabed) a bit more of a timeshare feeling. The pool is okay, my kid can't swim, so the shallow end was okay for two hours of swim play. Don't stay on the first 4 floors the music was awful late at night, pounding the whole floor. After two nights I had to move and we got the upgrade. I might stay again if in a two room. I like that their is no casino and still nearby to everything. Read more
"Pros and Cons"
All or part of this hotel is now a time share. They removed the sink outside the bathroom in favor of a microwave and fridge, making it less convenient for 2 people to get dressed at the same time. There is a murphy bed on the wall in addition to the regular bed. The room was clean, but the common areas in the hotel were not. Our room was noisy...loud […] music until 11:30pm. Room was hot. Not as described: No couch/Queen sleeper as described. People drinking/party in hall.
"Close to the Strip"
Hotel pricing is better than on the Strip. It is one block form the Strip. Hotel was very convinient. Bus stop to the Strip is one block away from the hotel. Pool and jacuzzi was easy to get to fom the lobby. I would stay again here.
The hotel structure is not well insulated and there was an outdoor concert that was extremely loud. We lucky had a room in the front of the hotel but could still hear the music til the wee hours of the morning. We were unable to get a good nights sleep.
"Clean Bargain Around the corner from the LV Strip"
Having stayed at a couple big-name hotels on the strip, I found the Royal Resort to be clean, modern, and a very close walking distance to the strip. A great bargain!
The bed was comfortable and the hotel convenieltly located. When I booked the room is said it had a pull out queen sofa bed and the room would accomodate 4 people. There was no sofa bed and my son slept on two chairs pulled together.
"great place to stay"
Really had no compliants other then the security guy watching the cameras was being a jerk about where I parked and made me move it twice, and it only was two spaces from where I was parked

Hmmmmm. Not sure how to begin this. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. However, I frame it in the" had to do with the trip itself" over the hotel being that good. I know it's old. I know it's a work in progress. That being said, it could have been better. The outside of the. Building, the gym, and the check in desk all need some work. "The Royal Resort in Las Vegas"
Over all stay was okay. The morning receptionist/clerk could be much more resourceful, pleasant and knowledgeable.
"very close to convention center, clean but noisy"
We stayed here for a major conference and loved being a 15 minute walk to the convention center instead of taking a cab or shuttle from the strip. They were able to check us in early, rooms were clean and comfortable, and the restaurant downstairs has delicious food. If you can't get reservations, you can do carry out. It was pretty noisy at night with […] music from downstairs, and you do have to track down a cab to get to the strip. In any other city, this would be a three or three and a half star hotel. The hotel as a whole was fine, but there was no room service or Internet access. When I called for room service (twice) I got an answering machine (that was full). The Hotels.com description indicated that there was wireless Internet service. This was not the case in the room. I was told there was WiFi in the lobby but it was not working. "Walk to Convention Center, and that's about it."
I stayed at this hotel for three nights because I needed to attend a large convention down there. The hotel was within a walking distance from the Convention Center and that was convenient. I also liked the large window completely opens up (not just for a couple inches like other hotels). But their in-room Internet access was not available, and their […] "Free WiFi in the Lobby" never worked for three days, which had significantly affected my business. Also, I requested a quiet room and was sent to the 2nd floor room right above the bar area. Live music continued till late and when I requested the room change, they told me they were sold out for the night. It was my third request when they finally told me they "found another room on the 6th floor", where I moved past 1AM. Housekeeping was not complete when they forgot to put out my trash. And the air conditioning control pad in the room was not working properly. Overall, the hotel was conveniently located from the Convention Center, and the large window opens up completely. "Excellent Value - Very Close to Convention Center"
Room was very comfortable, 10 minute walk to the convention center avoided the use of shuttle buses and taxis. The only problem was the intermittent internet connection.

This hotel is not in the middle of the vegas action, nor does it have a casino. I was in vegas for multiple day convention at the convention center and this hotel worked very well. "the Royal Resort in Las Vegas"
Well priced, good location close by LV Convention Center and major hotel casinos. Room was more of an effecieincy type with a King sized bed plus a Murphy Bed if you need it. Room was clean with no signs of wear. As others have stated the desk staff lacked the friendly welcoming enthusiasm found in larger hotels. the bar staff were friendly.

"Good remodeling"
They recently remodeled and the lobby is nice and hip and the rooms are really nice, good bed, good tv, nice bathroom.

not a bad hotel to stay in vegas for it's low price. it is close to the vegas strip, but you only pay 1/3 of the other hotel prices. pretty good deal.

"Outdated"
Hotel needs updating and the toilet wasn't working - had to flush a few times. Definitely get what you pay for - it was a 2.5 star hotel. Was there for a birthday celebration and the hotel experience ruined it. Not much customer service at the front desk - very unfriendly.
"Royal Resort - what a deal"
Clean, comfortable room with refrigerator, microwave, soaps and shampoos. Nice location (short block to the strip) with lots of parking that is very convenient to your room. The price is right!

Mr. Ray who works at grave yard shift and mr. Mike who claim to be shift manager are very rude along with unprofessional manner. customer service of the hotel just like cheap motel some where. So before you go to that hotel prepare yourself to deal with employee such as Ray and mike. Thanks

"Always a good choice"
This is the second time I have stayed at the Royal Resort and again I walked away happy. They are right next to the strip so we can walk to any casino on the boulevard and the hotel staff is very friendly. The rooms aren't big, but they are perfect for how long I am usually in them. "Hotel in Las Vegas"
We were going to see the Cubs play in Vegas, so we only needed a room to sleep. The reviews were good, it seemed like a great location for our needs, so we booked it. It is located next to the Wynn, but off of a street that is not busy like the strip. Easy to get in and out of the parking lot, free parking, lots of it. The front desk was friendly, and […] the place was clean. The best part was that there was no hint of smoke smell. There's a pool table and other games for guests, a small fitness center which we took advantage of and a pool/jac. It was such a great deal for the money. "its ok, they charger for internet if it works"
room was smaller then pix show to be sure, but it was clean, bed was comfortable. great location, peppermill across the street and walgreens. my only major complaint was they they wanted to charge for internet, and it didn't even work on my side of the hotel. pool / hot tub was ok room came with an excellent bunch of person items like toothpaste […] and name brand his & hers razors in case you needed one. that was nice. i loved my stay here! i guess cuz we are usually on that side of the strip i tought it was perfect the staff was amazing
This is a great hotel option for those working at the Las Vegas Convention Center. It is less than 1/2 mile away, an easy walk. The rooms are great for the price, and the staff was very helpful. The bar area tended to be very noisy - not with clients, but the music. Other than that, it was perfect. "The Royal Resort Hotel - Disappointment"
Once I arrived in my room I noticed the A/C was not working. I immediately went to the front desk and let them know. They said they would send a technician and they did. The technician came to my room and looked at the A/C. He told me that it was not working properly and we would need to move rooms. Well a little while later I get a knock at my door […] and it was a hotel worker with a box fan. Needless to say I stayed for three days without any A/C. While checking out the manager tells me that they do not have any A/C during this time. I was so angry and disappointed. Just be careful. "Royal Resort review"
The hotel was nice and walkable distance to the strip. The only problem was that the AC didn't seem to work (thank god it wasn't summer)!

Everything about our room was great there was no smoking which made my allergies happy, the only set back was the air conditioning wasn't working properly. We didn't report it either, just opened up the window.

"if you want a quiet place but close to the action"
this is the place. extremely quiet. down to there is no casino in the place. room was very spacious. loved the fact that there was both a fridge and a microwave. private balcony is great too. free toiletries were great too. carpet could use some deep cleaning, but i didn't go to look at carpet. thermostat in my room was breaking down so it make a […] loud clanking noise when it turned on...lol. but it still did it's job which is what mattered the most to me. great place for a quiet get away...definitely going back.
