We arrived early (9am) and the hotel staff were fantastic, they rearranged rooms so we could check in early. They were very efficient in replacing our bar fridge when it wasn't working, brought us a microwave when we requested it and followed up with us by the end of the first day to ensure all our needs were met. This is the perfect place to stay at Sun Peaks. The staff is helpful and the hotel is located perfectly because it is close to the main chair lifts and right in the heart of the village near all of the restaurants. Ski storage is very convenient. Lift tickets can be purchased right next to the ski storage and then you go out the door and ski to the […] chairs. Depending upon how you come down the hill, you can ski back to the hotel door. No matter where you come down, it is a very short walk to the front door, approximately 100 yards. The restaurant in the hotel is good too. Read more

Our second stay at Delta Sun Peaks and definitely won't be our last. Friendly staff, beautiful accommodations and you cant beat the location for village and slope side access. The only hotel with an on-site pool, the kids had a blast. We found that even though we didn't have a kitchen we made out just fine. The hotel staff were excellent. Very friendly, efficient and accommodating. The hotel lobby was impressive, giving a lodge like feeling. It was conveniently located in the center of Sun Peaks village with a nice balcony and to chairs overlooking the village center shops. A few things we didn't enjoy: we found the bed far too soft for our liking, lack […] of seating within the room specifically needing more casual comfortable chairs (room had only 1 armchair and a desk chair leaving one person to sit on the bed), no footstool, no small patio table (we had to drag the table from inside the room to the balcony when enjoying refreshments). No in-room WiFi, isn't this 2012? Hallway wainscoting was scraped and bashed up plus room service trays were left in the hallways for a full day. I our opinion the hotel is nice but definitely not a 4 star. Read more

Even when it's off season Delta Hotels, don't ignore guests. We traveled from Vancouver to Sun Peaks, when we arrived we waited for ten minutes because the guests in front of us required directions. The other front desk clerk could not be bothered until we complained. Wake up Delta management..... We wanted to get a drink in the bar to cool off from […] our experience at the desk... guess what, even though there was no one there we still had to wait and when we were noticed the waiter came halfway and asked what we wanted and we really put her to a great effort to return with a drink list. I think she came to work to read books. We left and when to the bar at the bottom of the mountain where there was good service, a better attitude and no drama. Not an ideal location for an overnight stop off as too far off the main highway, however it proved to be a relaxing stop off point after a heavy day of driving. The hotel has lots to offer including, a very modern gym, bar, pub and restaurant. We were a bit disappointed that we had to pay an additional fee for parking of 14 dollars as this was something […] we had not come accross throughout our stay in other Canadian hotels. My husband and I were looking for somewhere in interior BC to stay over the long September weekend to kick off our long awaited vacation. He had heard of Sun Peaks ski resort and knew that they offered facilities in the summer. We looked it up on line and booked a room at the Delta Sun Peaks for 5 nights. It was the perfect start to our vacation - the […] hotel accommodations and staff were fabulous and everyone we encountered in the hotel, whether it be hotel services and /or bar/restaurant personnel were fun, pleasant and very helpful. The village itself is charming and full of lots of great places to eat and shop - we even enjoyed and an outdoor market with live music on our last day there. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained and has very modern decor, and is very luxurious, but still down to earth. The hotel is definitely out of the way though, and despite how convenient it seems when looking at a map (relative to Kamloops) it is a good 30-40 minutes out of Kamloops, and involves a number of winding mountain roads. I would imagine […] the road would be quite intimidating in the Winter (which is actually the main season for the hotel, being a skiing village). The pool was nice, but being outdoors, had quite a few bugs in it, but that is to be expected. The room service food was excellent, and was actually cheaper than eating in the restaurant, so that is something to keep in mind. Overall, a great hotel, if you don't mind making the drive. We originally booked a superior king mountain view but the bed was terrible, after upgrading to the signature club we were quite comfortable in our room. The hotel is fairly old and isn't as clean as it could be, the elevators were filthy enough that you could write your name in the dirt on the walls and the hand santizer dispensers were all empty (remove […] the maybe ?). The lobby of the hotel is much nicer than the rooms. The rooms are more of a 3 star level. The front desk staff is friendly but rather disorganized. I called the front desk to ask for some soap and it never arrived at our room. We had to wait 4 hours for our room to be ready at check in.

Die nachfolgende Bewertung basiert auf einer Rundreise durch den Westen von Kanada, bei der wir 18 Nächte in 10 Hotels verbrachten. Die Hotels lassen sich daher untereinander vergleichen, was aufschlussreicher sein dürfte als Vergleiche mit dt. Maßstäben. Sun Peaks war anfänglich nicht auf unserer Reiseroute vorgesehen und wurde nur deshalb mit eingeplant, […] weil der Weg von Jasper nach Whistler für eine Tagesreise zu weit schien. Rückblickend erscheint es eher als Glückfall, dass im trostlosen Clearwater keine Unterkünfte verfügbar waren, weshalb wir nach Sun Peaks ausgewichen sind. Ein sehr schöner und nobler Wintersportort, ganz im alpenländischen Stil erbaut. Das Delta Sun Peaks Resort & Hotel dürfte dabei die erste Adresse vor Ort sein, weshalb der ausgewiesene Übernachtungspreis wohl als Sommerrabatt zu sehen ist. Hinzu kamen allerdings Parkgebühren im Innenhof des Hotels. Die hätte man sich auf dem allgemeinen Parkplatz bei den Liftanlagen vielleicht sparen können. Das Zimmer entsprach den Erwartungen, die man an ein Hotel dieser Kategorie stellen darf, wobei die Beschreibung in Hotels.com in einem wichtigen Punkt nicht zutraf: Deluxe-Zimmer gehören hier zur niedrigsten Kategorie und verfügen deshalb generell über keinen Balkon! Dessen ungeachtet zählt für uns das Delta Sun Peaks Resort & Hotel zu den TOP 3 in unserer Hotelreihe und kann deshalb bestens weiterempfohlen werden. Read more

Un poco obsoleto en cuento a instalaciones, pero dispone del equipamiento básico. Eso si, tanto Internet como el parking son servicios adicionales (de pago), cosa bastante fea en los tiempos que corren.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit aufmerksamen Mitarbeitern. Allerdings sollte man ein Zimmer mit Bergblick buchen, da der Blick sonst auf den Parkplatz geht, wo Busse oft den Motor lange laufen lassen. Es gibt eine beheizte Tiefgarage (Winter). Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr ausgewogen mit frischem Obstsalat. Der Pool ist etwas klein geraten, aber im Sommer […] für eine Abkühlung tauglich.
