The bed was very good. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast offering was pretty sparse but it was better than nothing. Needed to use the GPS to find it since we were not familiar with Rochester.

Person walking above sounded like stomping at 6am, then could hear everything in the room next to me at 7am, and finally the vacuuming in the other next door room sounded like it was in my room while I tried to sleep in a little bit after 8am.

We have stayed here before and booked again this time because of the comfort and convenience it offers. Rooms are large enough to move around with table, desk, comfortable bed and large comfortable relaxing chair. This was perfect for just wanting a clean, comfortable room without paying for luxurious furnishings. Staff was very friendly, room was clean. The lighting is too stark, but I did like most everything else about the hotel. However, I did not like the choice of TV channel. I could get neither Comedy Channel nor MSNBC. TV stations are a deal breaker for me in many situations.

Great if you need kitchen, or for longer stays. Clean and comfortable....close to stores,shopping, and restaurants. Shuttles to Mayo a definite plus......note shuttles do not run on weekends....but parking is not bad on weekends. The "handicapped" bathroom was very un-handicapped. There was a bathtub instead of a walk-in shower. The sink had no vanity and no place to put even a tube of toothpaste let alone a hairdryer or shaver. The outlet was about 5 feet from the sink . The bed was very uncomfortable and very hard. My son had to stay overnight in Rochester to have some testing done at the Mayo. We don't have much money, but I did not want him to have to drive down there at 4am, so I rented a room so he could stay overnight. It's what you would expect from a room that you pay less than $60 a night for. The staff was fairly friendly, although we had to stand at the front desk and wait to be noticed both checking in and checking out. The price was fair, but all normal services were extra, not the norm today. The first room was on the smoking floor, which suprised me since I thought it was a non smoking hotel? I had requested a non smoking room out of habit, but was put on a smoking floor even though the hotel was not even 40% full. The bed was bad!

This is a rather decent property for the price I paid. I will definitely stay there again in the future. Since it's an extended stay hotel, there are limited "frills", but for the price, it was well worth it. Requested a non-smoking room. Got a non-smoking room on the third floor, which is where the smoking rooms are. The room smelled fine, but the hallway smelled strongly of smoke. When turning on the bathroom light, the fan turns on, which draws the smokey-smelling air under the door into the room. Ultimately, we took to cracking the window and shoving […] a towel under the door. They need to either go all non-smoking, or make the entire third floor smoking. There was all sorts of hair in the shower. TV didn't work. Elevator was right next door. Stafff haul clean linens up during the night. Could here them very well. Carpet was very dirty/stained. The box spring on the bed was so dirty, I didn't want to touch it.

For a hotel that is usually a pretty good chain, we were not impressed and actually disappointed with many things. First of all, there were a lot of stains around the room, including "fresh" stains on my blanket....had to ask for a new clean one. Yuck. We didn't have any soap, shampoo, etc apon arrival. Tricky to get to this hotel from the south even with a GPS - exit highway to the east and continue onto a poorly marked frontage road and then cross over freeway. Very basic room with only two pillows but everything was very clean and linens smelled fresh. Small "queen" bed which was very firm. The room had a full size refrigerator, two burner stove, […] microwave, toaster, coffee maker and even a few dishes. Bathroom fan sounded like a jet engine and ran with the light switch. No complimentary breakfast and no breakfast areas nearby. Very quiet area with no traffic noise at night. It is easy to get back to Mayo Clinic and there is a small shopping mall just to the south.
