We picked this hotel primarily based on location. This is a nice area on the river with easy access to the surrounding cities. The staff were friendly but the hotel was dirty and in desperate need of a remodel. The first room they gave us had a VERY strong citrus smell that was clearly there to cover up the smoke smell. Many of the rooms used to be […] smoking rooms but are being sold as non-smoking. There were still cigarette burns in the duvet covers! We asked to be moved to a different room and the staff was very helpful. The second room they gave us was better. It was still old and needing updates, but it was reasonably clean and comfortable. Convenient location near ice arena, shopping, and Woody's River Roo. Best pre-paid rate in this area, with no penalty for change or cancellation prior to check-in day. Everything was ok except the bed, when you sat on the end of the bad the top of it raised about 2 ft in the air. Then when you sat on the side the oposite side raised as well. Has a bad hump in the middle of the bed and felt like I was going to roll off when I rolled over.

I think they must have laid off some their maintenance staff, because there was multiple things falling apart in our room: the light over the sink didn't work, the hairdryer didn't work, the kleenex box holder was broken. On brighter note,the room was clean and the breakfast was good.

The smell of cigarette smoke was so strong I needed to wash my clothes after we left. The TV picture was very fuzzy-couldn't really watch TV. The air conditioner unit turned off and on every 20 seconds for an hour before I just turned the thing off altogether. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

How did this jotel get so many stars? The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The lobby, hallways, and room were very dated. The rug had pulls and stains. There are much nicer places to stay.

don't usually associate Sleep Inn's with waterfront locations, but this one is right on the Manatee River, our room had a four star view at a two star price..And you can walk next door to Woody's River Roo resturant for some funky florida fish camp cuisine!.

Place was nice, they have updated the TV's recently, AC was the old under the window style and would not come on to cool the room down so while it was 40* outside our room was in the low 80's. Smallest hotel room I have eve been in, the two doubles only had 18" walking space between them, way too small for three people especially for the price.

Really nice old part of FL. A nice location on the manatee river. Local bus runs right in front of the hotel. Decent free breakfast and very friendly staff. A great hándicap room for the physically challenged.

Was going to stay for 2 nights, but wound up staying for 3 nights. Quiet you would never know 75 ran right beside it. Nice little breakfast station, clean, juices, bagels etc. Took a couple juices back to room. Price was reasonable, close to beach and restaurants. Will definately go back since close to my neice. Very happy
