Windsor Gardens Hotel & Suites - Palm Beach Gardens

Despite being in town for a memorial service of a close friend. My stay at the Windsor hotel was very nice. The hotel is going through some remodeling, but everything was clean and quiet. The staff were especially helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and I would definitely stay there when I am in palm beach gardens.

The Windsor Gardens is neat and tidy. New furniture and well located. They should consider how to improve the acoustics. Tile floors permit external sounds to penetrate the rooms. Clean room, nice wide screen t.v. People smoking in other rooms hallway, stunk, staff didn’t seem to care; most of them were smoking in front of the hotel anyways, yuck! Very loud in the morning, so if you like to sleep in maybe a room on the second or third floor. Front desk (Debbie) was pleasant. If you’re going to breakfast don’t be late, got there […] about 10:04am and a guy literally shut the door in front of me, oh well I was late! For what I paid I expected a more professional look, peeled or worn – out paint, doors stating that they’d be locked after hours left propped open, could be because of the security wire hanging down from the door. Items stored in hallways, entryways not kept swept, exterior of building looked very nice. The hotel staff helped us find the hotel very easily because our GPS system was not able to find the road. This is a charming hotel; my only problem was not being able to close the drapes to block out the parking lot light. My 7 yo son woke up at 4:30 am as a result. The address on hotel.com included two cities so Google Maps got confused and sent me the wrong way. Call the hotel in advance to get correct directions.

They are still remodeling. And there are construction materials lying about in the lobby and the parking lot. When they are done, the end result will likely be very pleasing. For example, the exercise room is a joke and only open from 7:00 - 10:00am when breakfast is served. The complimentary breakfast is a nice attempt, with cold cereals, orange juice and scrambled eggs, potatoes and link sausages. But it's the exact same lineup EVERY morning. And no attempt to address the needs of healthier eaters. The ownership is trying to make this a first class, but comfortable-feeling property. If you want the little things that make that possible, I suggest you go elsewhere until all the improvements are complete. Very complex internet hookup and the clerks worked through it with me until we wrote the solution--it took an hour or so. It was an adventure for me but would have been a hassle for most. The clerk actually called her son a, computer IT person, who helped with the solution. These are very nice people.

The hotel was under construction but never once did we see or hear a construction worker. Our room on the third floor had already been remodeled and it was beautiful. Updated fixtures bedding etc. the staff was so friendly. The front desk kept giving us recommendations on places to go and see.
