We have stayed at many resorts and this stay has been our most disappointing and the first one I felt I needed to write a review on. We had to stop three times to ask directions to our actual room once checked in as we arrived late in the evening and the resort is large. When we found the room an officer was in front of that building dealing with a […] domestic disturbance, our air barely worked in the room, the bed was clean but did not look like housekeeping had cleaned the rest of the room and the room was very out dated. Took over 45 mins to find my reservations then the room key only opened 1 door and had to wait 45 mins to get that fixed then at 11 oclock that night my door opens because other guests had a key to my room. not happy with that but the room was clean and the family had fun.

Could've been better. I was on vacation therefore I had to clean linen, towels, etc and not the staff. Left items behind and am still waiting for lost and found to return my telephone call since Friday, 4/5/13. I like Orange Lake better than Westgate Resorts.

We had a great time , our family came down from New York , we visited the parks and surrounding areas. Having a full kitchen and living room in addition to two bedrooms made everyone feel so relaxed and not on top of each other. This place was everything we needed and even more!!! The only complaint was that check in is at 4pm and when we got here at 5:45 our room was still not ready. The resort is extremely busy and I understand that but your policy is 4pm check in and 10 am check out. If you expect us to be out at 10am then you should make sure we can check in at 4pm. Very nice all inclusive place and close to restaurants and a moderate size supermarket. After driving for 22 hours and finding a vacancy at the Westgate Vacation Villas I initially was thrilled. We arrived in town a day early and needed a place. I should have sensed trouble when I was quoted three different prices on the same room. The funniest was I was calling from the parking lot and the woman I was speaking with told me that it would […] be more expensive if I took the 2 minute walk inside to book it rather than book with her. Strangely enough I still would have had to walk in to check in which was another nightmare which i will get to. I ended booking through Hotels.com and saved $15. Hey, it's not much but it's still $15. On to the check in. I dealt with a guy who repeatedly kept asking me for my credit card and license. I kind of figured he would have held onto them until he had obtained the necessary info. It took an easy 20-25 minutes to check in and there was nobody in front of me. The kid asked me if I wanted the 1st or 5th floor. l told him the 1st floor since I had my 2 kids with me. Another conference with the manager (I assume) and I was on my way finally....to the fifth floor. My keys wouldn't open the door and it took a good 15 minutes to ge this rectifed plus 2 phone calls to finally get the crib I had requested. The room was very nice and the grounds appeared well maintained but it was rather chaotic. We spent the week at Legacy Spas on Poinciana Blvd and it was absolutely wonderful. Read more

Close to Disney. Good price for the villas you rent. Spacious. There are 30 minute lines to register at check in, half of the villas face the parking lots and that is what we got. The dryer did not work, units are clean but some maintenance work is needed. No housekeeping provided.

I booked this place while in line at Univeral . I was suppose my wife then other family found out we where there and came up so I needed at big room . Pulling into the resort feels like paradise. It's a great location, close to everything. The town hall is very grand and beautiful. The tile floors were filthy - our white socks were black the floors are so dirty. I was annoyed by the lack of housekeeping - I am on vacation, I do not want to work. They obviously want you to clean for them, they leave you a mop and broom in the closet. My husband would write a very different review - he liked the ample space. He even made a joke that it did not bother him one bit if I had to do housekeeping all week. After a long day at Disney I would have loved to come back to a clean villa. Read more

This place is a huge resort with terrible service. We got there at 9pm and waited in line for 45 minutes! to get to the registration desk and it took another 30 minutes to get our room key. By the time we got to the desk we had already decided we were never coming back. There was an $11 service fee we did not know about either. After a long day in disney we were very disappointed to have to wait 1 hour to check-in!! The staff were most discourteous and the check in system antiquated. Also we were not allowed to find our own way to our accom but had to further wait to be escorted - they obviously think guests can not read maps. Room was great. Going to Disney and spiting the room with 2 families, this villa worked great, however after spending a long day at Disney I was not happy that it took me nearly an hour to check in. The line was crazy and there was no apologies for the wait. Please note this is a Resort fee per night. Around twelve dollars.

Apparently, it is okay to hold loud rowdy parties that last until about 3:30 am. Security was nice enough, however the fact that I had to call twice says a little something about their (westgate's) policy towards noise, urinating on the balcony and what sounded like a cage match in the room. We're a young couple with a baby that decided to sleep away […] from home for the first time. Only to deal with that. Believe me, I'm okay with parties, but keep it inside and there's clearly no need for literally stomping on the floors. My husband and I had stayed here once before and had a wonderful time. But after hearing owners talk about being unhappy and staff simply not knowing what a smile is, we will not return. I really enjoy staying at Westgate properties and this was my 2nd stay at this particular one. The hotel was very busy so check in process was a little long it would be better if the hotel could speed up that process. Overall the room was great and clean. We enjoyed our stay.
