i liked the fact it had two separate rooms but if you look around, you can find a cheeper hotel that is nicer

Beautiful view from the balcony. I felt completely secure at this hotel and I had a very comfortable room. I will stay here again and recommend this location to my friends and family members.

when you opened the door that leads to either our room or neighbors room it smelt like a dog had been in there. that smell was not as strong in our room but it still stunk. we had to go to store anf buy air freshner to get it out. also the room next to us was very noisey and they were smoking pot all night and the next morning.

We absolutely loved everything about Westgate! The rooms were clean and modern. The pools were amazing and the staff was very friendly. We had a room that overlooked the lake and we could see the fireworks from Disney World from our private, screened on balcony!! We're already planning our next trip there!

All in all for the price the place and amenities were nice. The 1st thing they did when we checked in was try to get us to come to a free breakfast so they could try to sell us a timeshare. Then when my fiancé showed up for it without me they wouldn't give her breakfast or conduct the sales pitch. I had to work 3 of the days at a convention at a WDW […] resort so the trip was part business and part pleasure. The traffic (mainly golf carts) in the complex was often congested and annoying to get in and out. The location was convenient to WDW, West Lake Blvd, and International Blvd. which was good. The rooms were nice but VERY THIN WALLS ad noisy. HOUSEKEEPING was GREAT for the most part. I would consider staying again here but also likely look into hotels on International blvd 1st to see if I could find something comparable. Read more

I wasnt impressed. The resort is on a ghetto side of town which would of been okay if it lived up to its expectation. Check in took about 30 minutes. Our room was not well kept. The faucet on the sink was broken and came off everytime we turned the water on. The room is very old fashioned, no modern furniture at all. The pools were dirty with leaves […] and when we tried to use the net to scoop them out the net was hung up filled with leaves. All the activities cost additional fee's. To paint an elephant it was like $8. So not what we had expected. The Smokehouse Grill did not open until after 5pm and the host was not very welcoming when we went. Overall at the moment i think the only thing that this place has going is the fact that you can get on a paddle boat, rent a bike, play tennis and golf for free. Wouldn't go again. Read more

Hotel was not what was listed in ad. Staff very ruid and felt rushed every time asked something. Pool should be open to all guest as long as they want to use. No coffee in the room have to buy. like we have not paid enough already.

We had a good experience staying at Westgate Lakes Resort & Universal Spa. The room was comfortable and spacious. Parking was great. This location was centric to what we needed (business and pleasure). The only negative comment I have was the bathroom was not swept daily and my wife's hair was all over the floor.

Excellent location for going to some of the major theme parks in the area. 5 min drive to SeaWorld ie. Easy access to I-4. Enormous hotel area with free parking. Spacious rooms. Do not come here if you are in a hurry to check-in and see the sites. The check-in process involved waiting in line over 1/2 and hour and then we had to talk with several different employees, one who wanted to sell a time-share.

A decent hotel, but Hotels.com staff misled us. I told the sales rep we needed a room for 4. Two adults and two kids. We got a room with a king size bed and then a pullout couch. So three in the bed and one on the pull out. Not the way I planned to sleep our family of 4. This set up was not explained until I got to the front desk. Hotel could not make […] a change. We were told that our room would have a king sized bed and a king sized sofa bed, but the sofa bed was nothing more than a full sized bed. When housekeeping came, they did nothing more than bring new rolls of toliet paper. Room was clean, and the resort was located close to the parks that we wanted to visit.

I don't usually review anything, but I was so disappointed by this stay, that I felt I needed to share my experience. First, after an eight-hour day on my feet at Sea World, I didn't appreciate the 30-40 minute wait to check-in. Then when I finally got to the front to register, I was told I'd have to put down a $50 deposit for the room. I had not budgeted […] this money in, and we were traveling back the next morning with very little funds. Needless to say, I asked to speak to a manager. He tried to explain that my confirmation should have this information on it, but he could not find that anywhere. I was livid! I still don't have the $50 back on my card yet, and I've been home several days. The room was small & had no privacy! The king bed was uncomfortable, but the pull-out sofa bed was worse! My daughter had to out the mattress on the floor. After a few hours without sleep & a painful back, she finally got in the bed with my other daughter & me. Our family vacation was an extraordinary one. Westgate is a must stay vacation location. We'll be back next year for our annual Easter holiday stay in Orlando and Westgate will be our home away from home. My husband and I stayed here to spend the night to go to Universal the next day. The suite was great for the two of us and very quiet. This hotel is spread out in many buildings and we loved our spot towards the back with our lenai overlooking the lake. Many activities at the hotel to do too and seven pools throughout the complex. Homemade muffins and rolls were delicious too along with the very tall beer at a great price at the restaurant. The staff at the restaurant and the hotel were wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. The price was great for a stay here and I would highly recommend the hotel to any couple or family looking for a safe, friendly and comfortable place to stay for a week or a few nights. Well for some folks they may be happy with the accommodations, but I was truly disappointed. This place was much smaller, nowhere as luxurious as the pictures they posted as the room choices I selected. The only thing correct was the fact that it had one bedroom.
