"HASSLE!!!!"
my room was great. what wasn't great was the room service waking you up to clean your room..I told her no thank you we are still sleep and she told me "no" I have to clean now! so I let her in while we were still dressing!!! then being awakened by 9am each morning to someone at the front desk "offering" you a timeshare review! uh dude I paid the regular rate so I wouldn't be hassled! they called beach morning! even after being told NO. then to come to my room and find letters asking youvto come to a "breakfast" to review the hotel!!! IM ON VACATION LEAVE ME ALONE! Rude customer service no parking and had to be shuttled to the garage EVERY night because of no parking. will not return!

Everything was good, as far as the time sale woman deidra, she was very unprofessional at the end of her presentation. All because we refuse to buy a time share. She was way out of character and wouldn't recommend her as a sales rep. I think no matter what a customer may say you should never loose your cool and stay professional at all time. If you can't accept the word NO you should find another occupation.

"Lots of interior room,not a lot of other positives"
There is a lot of interior space in their rooms, which is nice, especially for extended stay visits to Orlando. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of other positive things to say about this place. Pulled in at 1:30 am due to weather related travel delays and check-in took a long time, ending with an attempt to commit us to a breakfast and timeshare presentation the next morning. I mean, seriously? The room was relatively clean but outdated, and had a couple of "visitors" (including one impressive cockroach). Had to call security on two separate occasions due to loud parties in the common area right outside our bedroom window, once at midnight and once at 2:30 am. One night they called us and woke us up in the middle of the night to ask if we had locked our outer security door because the bellman was trying to enter and couldn't (note: our room didn't have an outer security door). There was inadequate parking at our end of the complex, the pull-out bed was so stained my daughter refused to sleep on it, and there are not late evening food/beverage options so you either go without or you make the trek to Walmart. Basic amenities like luggage carts and ice machines are not available. We did not participate in the timeshare presentation as we quickly discerned we would not be coming back to this resort. There are a lot of options in Orlando and we'll be picking another on our next trip.

Wonderful resort even though they are remodeling. Our room was exceptional, screened in balcony, kitchenette, huge king bed and bathroom recommend the jetted bathtub for two, very romantic bring along a candle & wine!

Was very unhappy because of extra 50 deposit upon arrival, then couldn't sleep for neighbor in suite A, bamming on door, called security, only tbey didn't come until an hour later after the occupants had left,and I fell asleep only to be awaken again by security knocking on their door, and I had to travel next morning, so very unhappy about that, also some small bugs crawling on counter

"Best place to stay in Orlando"
Westgate is no doubt one of the best places to stay in Orlando, FL. It is a huge resort with one of the best services and amenities. Rooms were huge and clean with the best views. Staff is great and the nearby locality has all the possible shops. The resort is also a 15 min drive from all the Disney and Universal parks. Had a great time!

"Parking Disastrous, Sticky hands housekeeping."
The condition of the room was overall good. My complaint is for the parking. This is a very big resort but when we came in on Saturday 05/30/15 there was no parking. We had to park in the parking garage which was very far away from our room. A shuttle took us to our building because it was midnight but the next morning we had to walk all the way top get our car. It was not a block away, it was a good 10-15min walk. The next day we didn't wanted to stay out to late with fear we might not find parking. On the day we checked out we unfortunately left something on the fridge but by the time we came back ( 15-20min) the room was still the same but the treats were gone. That was the nail in the coffin. I will not stay in this hotel again and I suggest if you do, do not leave anything valuable around.

"Never again!"
Maybe we were just naive, but we didn't know it was a timeshare property. Most of our first morning was hijacked by a 'short' presentation. We were told it would only take an hour, when in fact it was more than 2 hours and it would have been longer but I got rude and told them we were finished. The only reason we went was to get the $95 they promised us, but it wasn't worth it. If I had to do it again I'd tell them to keep the money. What a waste of time! The room was outdated, the carpet needed cleaning, and some of the people were rude, mostly the sales people. I won't stay there again. Very disappointing.

"Skip the breakfast"
The breakfast sales pitch was a terrible experience. The sales person we had was rude when we said we were not interested. We told him he was unprofessional and condescending. He stated "we don't want you to be part of our resort family". We escalated this to the management who did cancel the rest of sales pitch. Other than that...nice resort, helpful employees but I won't stay there again because of the sales pitch.

"Very disorganized resort"
This property is probably the most disorganized resort I have ever lived on. The first night the air-conditioner was not working and then the staff lies to us and tells us that they showed up at our room and fixed it. Then the supervisor starts to assume that we are looking for a free room. One thing they need to teach the employees there is etiquette because it seems like they are lacking that especially one front desk supervisor called Jorge who was talking to me with a rude tone. There has to be standards since this is the hospitality industry and have to cater to guests needs.

"Everything but customer service was fine."
This hotel is good for whom didn't have any problems in their rooms. Also, I wouldn't recommend this hotel for whom love cleanliness and fastidiousness, because the room was clean in general, but not in details. In my case, AC wasn't being able to stop, which made our room very cold, and one of us ended up getting cold. At first night, I called front desk about AC, and technician came at late night and told me he couldn't fix it, so someone would come the next day to fix. On the next day, AC wasn't fixed when I came back at night, so called again, then they sent a different technician again. It was at midnight. He came and told me he couldn't fix and someone gonna come next day. So I called again at front desk to ask for a different room. Because simply it's impossible to sleep in that room. Front desk people kept saying there is no available room for tonight, but might be able to find one in next morning when people check out. So I asked to talk with supervisor, and this experience was the worst. She said, the technician will be sent now, so wait for him, (she doesn't know when he comes) and let's discuss what we do next after the technician get his work done, and it was after 1 am. I asked her to guarantee the room available from next morning, but she says she couldn't do so, and just wait for technician. Technician came and said exactly same thing, like he can't but someone gonna do it tomorrow. I gave up negotiating with them at last. The worst customer service.

"Vicious Timeshare Salespeople"
As a hotel/resort facility on it's on, this was an awesome place. My wife and I stayed here on for our honeymoon, which was largely spent in Disney. It went downhill once the timeshare presentation started. what was promised to be 60-90 minutes turned into over 3 hours, tons of lost time on our plans for the day. The salesman did not speak English well and was extremely difficult to understand. Once he brought the manager in it became truly awful. He kept pushing even after we explained that we had just married 3 days earlier and could not afford any of the options he presented. When he had no more options he began to insult both myself and my wife. On our final day we were presented with their travel club, which was promised to be nothing like the timeshare presentation, only 60 minutes, and a no pressure environment. Well, it turned out to be over 2 hours and exactly like the timeshare presentation, ending with insults from the manager and being told that we would no be allowed to stay at any Westgate property in the future.

"It failed to uphold its end of the bargain"
First thing- the check in experience was convoluted and annoying. It took over six people. The first person was very nice, but then someone else led us to a third person who tried to convince us to sit through a "45 minute presentation" regarding timeshare. I've been burned before so I just kept saying no thank you until he gave up. A fifth person led us back to the door, where a sixth gave us poor directions to find our room in a place that had over 20 buildings. We found our room, which was okay. The layout was odd, but had a nice jetted tube. Unfortunately, it's cleanliness left a lot to be desired. I found a long black hair in the tube (I'm blonde), and a hair pin next to the bed. It could have been the housekeeper, but my feet got dirty if I walked anywhere in the room. Gross. Also, one of the big selling points for me was the pool bars- which were never open. There was minimal information regarding services, and everything seemed catered to the "owners". Everyone was very friendly, the location was good (near Seaworld, which we visited) and for the price, it wasn't completely awful. That being said... I would not recommend it to anyone. We were only there for three nights, so some of its amenities weren't important- like the availability of washers and dryers, and the kitchenettes. Maybe if I were taking a larger family, as apposed to just myself and my husband, it would have been better.

"Pretty good for price"
The room we had was a studio. It was really nice and pretty clean aside from the tub needing a rinse. The hotel staff on the other half is terrible. They are beyond careless for their guest. We asked for some more towels and the house cleaning brung ONE. Also if you are not driving their transportation is bad, never on time always mean and on phone except one guy name joe he was the best! But overall was a great stay, would go again .

"Room Keys don't work"
My only problem With this place would be the room key always stops working !! Not just mine but many other guests also had this problem

"Close to everything.nice community"
I like it very much. Quit and nice place. All the major highways are close to westgate. Disney and other attraction sites are close to westgate.

"Mini vacation"
Stay was very good. Big rooms and very helpful staff. Only problems we had was the t.v skipping channels and the shower handle was stuck. Also it was pretty easy to hear the neighbors talking. Other than that I'd come back.

"Nice Deluxe Rooms"
I recently booked for a five night stay at the Westgate Lakes Spa & Resort and was surprised by the amenities provided in each room. Our room was a One Bedroom Deluxe - it had a living room, dining room, kitchen (with utensils), washer and dryer, bathroom with a stand-in shower as well as a jacuzzi tub in the bedroom. It was one of the best rooms I've been in and for a great price. Only issue I had is the leather couches weren't that comfortable but overall everything about the room was great. Especially the fact that there was more than one closet!

"I love to stay at Westgate"
The only problem I had was there were no bath or pool towels in the room. There were only hand towels. I made the pool attendant aware of my need for towels and after about an hour he got someone in housekeeping to bring me some towels to the pool

"Lots of fees!"
Nice staff and decent accommodations but floors not too clean and excessive fees. Read the fine print! Facilities overcrowded and traffic horrendous! Location is good with easy access to everything.

"Tired, Overcrowded and Low on Customer Service"
Booked this to attend a conference at the convention center which turned out to be much further than suggested. This is not a good hotel for business travelers. There was not enough parking for everyone - in my building we had people double parking. I have Expedia Elite status because I have booked a lot of hotels through Expedia. So they upgraded me immediately to a 1-bed suite. But it stunk like dirty socks and perfume - I guess they tried to cover the smell with chemicals. Overwhelmed the instant I walked in. Smell was was worse in the bedroom. Took me two nights to get moved to a room that did not smell. At first they wanted to send room service with deodorizer. (Please no more smells!) The new room was retro 80s until I realized it was authentic 80s. But it didn't stink so much better. HGTV would have had a field day updating it. But it was clean. The outlook on lake was nice. Customer service at this hotel non-existent. Several times I was on hold for "at your service" for up to 30 mins. And they fleeced you anywhere they could. I had a package sent to me there and they charged me a $5 fee. They insisted it was in the agreement with Expedia and when I showed them the agreement that it didn't have, they accused me of nitpicking. Great customer service not. Oh and they didn't let you know when packages arrived and you could only pick them up between 8am and 4pm - not good if you're at a convention all day. I won't be back.

"Overnight at Westgate resorts"
We only stayed over night and did not have time to take advantage of the two pools across from us or the volleyball net right outside our door! However the staff was very friendly, check in and out was a breeze and the room was clean and comfy! Since we arrived late the staff gave us suggestions on places nearby that would deliver. We would definitely stay there again.

"Overall, good stay."
Very nice room! The place will be much better when the construction is done. They are adding more parking, more units, another restaurant and bar, which is very much needed! If you choose to go for a time share speel be prepared for high pressure sales people and the time will be much longer than they tell you. Also, if the pool bars are going to offer a margarita on their drink menu, they should have salt for it, but they did not.
