"Should of stayed Home"
The place was a mad house and most of the talking is about better your room and they move you in circles and give you a map to your room witch makes you drive in circles do to poor directions. The next day we had no hot water and the ice box door was bent and we did't see it and all the food we picked up was bad. Day two we went out and returned late […] to fine no parking spot open and had to park a half mile away from our room since my wife is disabled and my kids were tired from walking all day to say the least it was a bad night. During our stay the hotel was very loud from people talking, running and doors closing all night long. The mini golf course was very abused and the boat rental for the lake was cancelled 3 times due to broken boats and we gave up after two days. Took nearly an hour to get checked in, room was very small for three adult guests. Price for a pet was outrageous at $270.00! Very disappointed that nearly all of the amenities closed at 8:00 pm. I honestly don't know where to begin. The second we stepped on the property we were ushered from one concierge to another only to push us to buy a time share and this was in the first 5 minutes that we arrived. We purposely did not sign up for that type of vacation we just wanted to get to the parks and have fun and do some relaxing while at the hotel. […] The concierges were very nice until we told them we were uninterested in hearing about their time share offers. We did not have a rental car like most who are visiting for universal and they made us walk to our rooms every day we were only offered the golf cart once upon arrival the rest of the time we had to walk about a half mile to our rooms when we arrived and left the hotel, we eventually gave up and just had our taxis drive us straight to our room which is not very safe. We were not even offered a ride in the golf cart when we went to check out after calling the front desk. The staff and cleaning quality was another story. I wouldn't suggest trying to go to the pool without the two pool towels given to you upon arrival because the staff will not go get you a new towel if you forget yours, they will simply tell you to go retrieve yours from your room. They advertise pool bars but out of the three days we were there they were closed and cobwebs covered the counters so I don't think they have been working for awhile and we were there on a holiday weekend. "Nice enough property, lacking in many areas"
The property was nice enough. The condo was very nice. The pools were nice. We must have been there during off-season because many of the activities were poorly staffed, late to open, etc. The wifi on the property was horrible - very inconsistent and slow. The cleaning service was terrible. We only had someone come to our room to take out the trash […] once in the 5-6 days we were there. The location is excellent relative to all of the theme parks and restaurants, which may be why there didn't seem to be a desire to provide good service in other aspects of the experience. Pros -the villa we rented was exactly as shown on the website. Cons - This is a timeshare so the minute you walk in you are bombarded with pushy salespeople who want you to sign up for the sales tour when all you want to do is check in and relax after a long trip. We had a 4th floor room that faced the pool. Every pool except the kiddee pools have a […] DJ there from 9am to 11pm and they blast music which is so loud that we could hear it clearly in our rooms with windows and doors closed, forget about relaxing on the balcony unless it was before 9 in the morning or after 11 at night because the music was so loud. The free WIFI is for one user at a time, so if you have multiple people in your room trying to access WIFI on phones, computers etc.. you have to pay extra. And while we're at it - the WIFI Stinks. Most of the time I had to use my data plan. The "shuttle" service was limited. For instance the there was one shuttle a day to SeaWorld at 9:30 am and the one shuttle back was at 6:30 PM. I expected multiple shuttle times. We drove and paid for parking rather than plan on spending 9 hours at SeaWorld. The clientele was low end. You get what you pay for. If you can afford better - go elsewhere. We left a night early at great expense since we had to pay for new flights home, but it was better then spending another night at the Westgate. "Close to everything but would not stay here again."
While booking our trip, we did not opt to get any special deal if we talked to a time share rep. This was fine by me. We got to the hotel at about 1, and they allowed us early check in which was great. But, we then were told we had to go to see a time share rep at 8 the next morning. I'm not too sure why, because I KNOW I did not book the trip to include […] that. During the presentation the next morning, the rep was very insulting. He criticized me for my logic in not buying a share, and made me feel dumb because I did not share the same opinions he did. Since we rejected any offer, we were treated differently afterwards. After a long day at the parks, we noticed the air conditioning not working. The weather was absolutely disgusting and with the air conditioner stuck on 73, we were very uncomfortable. The beds were rough, pillows were lumpy, the room was dated, the shower was dirty, the sink was constantly clogged unless we took the metal piece in the middle out, the floor felt soggy walking around in bare feet, and the screen on our porch had holes in it so bugs were still allowed to come in. This place is huge. We wanted a place near universal studios where we could relax and visit relatives for a long weekend. This was not a good place for that. I had an amazing experience there, great staff, an amazing studio villa that had many amenities and one of the best features that sometimes goes unnoticed is that you control the temp. with your own thermostat. can be set cool when its hot and warm when you come back in from there many pools. There smokehouse grill restaurant has insanely delicious food and a two for one breakfast buffets between 8:00am-9:00am that are better and more delicious than most of the food here in NY. Had a blast at that resort. I am going back there without a doubt, a few tips if your planning the trip threw expedia. Pay a little extra for the studio or 1 bedroom villas there worth every penny. Also when you check in there is a $50 deposit with a credit card or $200 deposit if you pay with cash that they ask for. and finally they will tell you about a free breakfast and $75 cash back when you take a tour of there resort, I read the fine print and its a timeshare they try to sell you, they take about 2hrs of your time so you might just might want to politely turn them down if you don't want anything to do with there time shares but all in all an unforgettable experience. Room was immaculate. Easy access to theme parks and dining. Resort restaurant was excellent. Only complaint was that our cluster of buildings had no pool, had to walk to another section of the resort for pool acces and pool towels are not provided pool-side. I chose this resort because of the amenities (paddle boating, miniature golf, gym, spa) and whirlpool Jacuzzi in the suite. I came for a little R&R and that's what I got. Upon arrival check in was seamless. I was very pleased by the cleanliness of the property and my suite. In fact, we loved the resort so much that I decided to book an additional night. "Checked out almost immediately"
Had a 2 night reservation. We checked out almost immediately. Room smelled bad, it was way outdated. Beds were on a platform and very uncomfortable. I found another 2 bedroom 2 bath that was so much nicer for the same rate. So glad we left! We would not recommend this hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great stay. Great view."
The first room we were given was dirty and had a terrible view. We went to nice guy who checked us in and he gave us a different room. Stayed in building 2500, third floor, amazing view of the lake and Disney fireworks around 10pm. The location is perfect within minutes of all the attractions. "Very terrible experience with hotel staff."
They are just trying to sale their condos when we arrive there. When we are not interested in buying what they sale, they immediately change their attitude. They do not respect us as their customers. They have the worst customer service that I ever experienced. They offered a very small and limited breakfast buffet but we have to spend 90 minutes with […] them. That is fine but their sales staff are very rough and impolite when we said we do not plan to buy any condos that they are offering. Also, the toilet got stuck. We had to call their facility to come in to fix it. After that day, we are so worry that we do not dare to use the toilet in our room. Overall, very terrible experience there. This hotel was very nice and the staff was very friendly except for the person working at the VIP counter. He was very friendly at the beginning, however he started filling out the paper for the time share and although we made clear we didn't want it he continue filling out the firm and asking us for 20 dollars. When I said that we are not interesting […] for the third time he grabbed the papers and ripped them in front of us and he gave us a dirty look. "Very decent resort"
I have stayed at plenty other resorts, I didn't like the customer service at all. When I got to the check in desk they didn't welcome me at all. I obviously had a question and the attendant just stated at me. Didn't say anything like welcome or how may I help you.Genuine Expedia guest review
