"great location and rooms, bad garage"
The hotel was very clean and rooms were spacious. The room even had a keurig coffee machine. The location was great with easy access to metro, numerous affordable restaurants on the same street, safe leafy neighborhood, and nightlife near by. The only drawback is the parking garage. It's very narrow and spots are limited. If you go to the bottom level […] and there are no spots, it's very difficult to back out. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The only problem we had was check in was confusing for the guy checking us in. No place does it tell about a incidental charge. The sight also had parking at one rate and was given a bigger rate when we got there. Other than that everything with the hotel was great. Our room was wonderful and very very clean. Breakfast was beyond yummy. Way more than […] I expected. We would recommend this hotel to others. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Spacious with a home feel"
I really liked the suite I stayed in. There was a couch, a kitchen, kitchenware, oven, HD flatscreen tv, the works. I'd say this is a great place to stay for any length of visit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location, good value"
Near good neighborhood restaurants (Bistro du Coin), good breakfast spread. Watch out for car park charges ($37 per night). Beds can be soft. Spacious roomsGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel in Dupont Circle"
Nice family hotel in Dupont Circle. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a suite for a family of 4. Ample room and it was nice to have a kitchen and eat-in area. Breakfast was excellent.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient location near DuPont Circle."
Enjoyed our 1 night stay as location was convenient to GWU Mt Vernon campus..............Genuine Expedia guest review
The location was perfect for our trip...close to shops, food and the metro line. We were able to get where we needed and had lots of things nearby to do. Staff very friendly and had items needed at the hotel!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice facility and staff"
Very nice room and friendly staff. 2nd time I've stayed there and will stay there again when I travel to DC.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Recently renovated - friendly staff - good locale"
The hotel was finishing up a complete renovation - everything was clean and attractive. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful - short walk to metro and to many good restaurants. Could walk to White House area and to Georgetown. Complimentary breakfast was helpful and included both hot and cold items. Only minor issue was maintaining comfortable […] room temp - AC could get very cold but when turned off room could get too hot. A little noisy outside - but what do you expect in a city ? "Good location, old building"
The hotel needs a significant upgrade. The air conditioning was not functioning properly, the bathroom door could not be locked... The bed was very small for 2 people. Excellent location though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to Dupont Circle for Embassy Tours"
I was disappointed that the hotel was still having construction done since it was suppose to be completed by our stay. The lobby was definitely not finished. We had to go to the restaurant next door that was connected to the hotel for breakfast. That said, the location was ideal for what we wanted to do and would come back again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great stay & breakfast. Hotel under renovation until May 10. New rooms are great. A bit of inconvenience with renovation work. Still a good bargain and enjoyable stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great family hotel"
Great experience! Would definitely stay there again. Staff incredibly attentive and amenities like wifi, breakfast, laundry, parking, and rollaway bed were so convenient for family of four. The only drawback was the construction going on which was a bit noisy hence the three rating on conditon. Not dancy but well appointed.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A girls weekend in D.C."
Wonderful staff and even with the construction going on right now it was a nice and quiet stay. But there were some things that we were concern about during our stay. The staff informed us that breakfast ended at 9:30 & the information that was posted in our suite and dated for the month of April stated 10am. But every time we attempted to get breakfast […] they were closed before those times. And when we did get there before 9, they were taking the food away and informed us we couldn't eat even though there were people there eating. We were also charged $0.75 for a local call & nothing in the room stated we would be charged for local calls. I don't know maybe it's a Washington, D.C. thing. Just like being charged $0.05 for bags at the local stores/shops. And finally the pullout in the suite was horrible, like sleeping on box spring only. I hope the new construction and renovations include updated pullout sofa beds! But with all that was going on the staff that worked the three days we were there were amazing especially the night we checked in on 4/11. Because of the staff we would stay there again. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was new and renovated. Neighborhood is great. Breakfast was varied and complete. I would definitely return.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Loved the neighborhood!"
Great staff, hotel is being remodeled right now so when it´s done this will be a great hotel. So convenient with the free breakfast buffet, our kids loved the waffles. A 20 min walk to Georgetown in one direction, and a 20 min walk to the The White House and the Mall in another direction. Lots of restaurants within walking distance too.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Under renovations - expect it to be better in the future.Genuine Expedia guest review
Excellent location at an affordable rate. Cleanliness , amenities and service was good. I recommend it for familiesGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location at a great price."
Very large, comfortable room with full kitchen. The location is near the metro, which made getting to all of the major sites very easy. The buffet breakfast every morning was great and the staff could not have been more helpful. I would stay in this hotel again and recommend it to others planning to stay in downtown DC.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for families with kids, but not 5star location"
good suite for families, with a kitchenette, and breakfast buffet. Room cleanliness was not top quality though. Service and staff was great.Genuine Expedia guest review
I love this hotel. It located at DuPont Circle, DC's most enjoyable area. 3 blocks from the Metro stop. Surrounded by embassies. Its just a fun place to stay. BUT, the mattress was so old that I felt like I would fall to the floor because the edges were so worn out. The chair in my room had duck tape patches on the arm. But I'll stay here again because […] of the location and the freindly staff. The free breakfast as "good" and more than you'd expect for free. The free dinner was great the couple of nights we elected to stay in. Overall a B-. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Clean, excellent service. Great location. Breakfast and internet included. A little pricey.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Loved my stay"
The room was great. I had a kitchen and bed was away from the traffic of the potentially loud hallway, so I didn't hear a peep. The air quality (dry) and the pillows (really small) were the only improvements I could see. Food was fantastic, absolutely fantastic. I recommend this hotel for anyone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overpriced For what they Offer"
The Location near DuPont Circle is great. I found the staff for the most part very helpful and friendly. I have 2 complaints. 1. the bed was rather uncomfortable. 2. I requested some towels at 7 o'clock, at 10:20 the front desk called to apologize for not getting me the towels and asked if it was ok to bring them up then.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"RE: bugs in the room"
Overall standard of the room is good but staff were unconcerned about bugs in the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Everything we needed was here"
Great location, near the metro, restaurants, sightseeing bus. Hotel is a little dated but had spacious room, complimentary breakfast, managers special nights, good security, friendly helpful staff, free wi-fi and computers with printers. Loved the ice maker in the room. Overall great stay. Would have liked a comfier bed.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Residence Inn at Dupont Circle, Washington DC"
I had a really fabulous experience at the Residence Inn. I met up with my son to go to the Solar Decathalon(also great experience). This hotel was perfect for us- good location, nice kitchen, amazing breakfast. The room was spacious and relaxing. We will go again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Rigtig godt familiehotel"
Superfin suite med to store værelser med egne badeværelser og stor fælles stue/spisekøkken. Perfekt til familieferie. Morgenmad med vaffelmaskine var et hit hos børnene. Bestemt pengene værd!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Large, clean room, excellent service (as typical for Marriott). The parking is extra and a bit pricy.
Men skøn beliggenhed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

This was a terrific experience. Terrence (front desk) was outstanding and went out of his way to provide superb customer service! Others on staff responded immediately and with a smile, to questions or small issues. Rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. My business companions stayed at another '5 star' hotel and complained frequently at not having a refrigerator or microwave, etc.(forcing them to eat each meal on the economy). This location truly made the short walk to my conference well worth the few minutes extra that it took me each morning and afternoon to walk to the conference location. This hotel is 1 1/2 blocks from the Dupont Circle Metro, has a great little market 2 doors away, and several restaurants within a short walk. Neighborhood is great and I never felt threatened even walking alone. I highly recommend this location!
"Great location, great service, great stay"
08/21/14 maurahs Washington DC, District of Columbia
This all suite hotel is in a great location close to the Metro, a huge selection of restaurants, some fabulous museums and bookshops at Dupont Circle. The staff are extremely helpful. The rooms are spacious, super clean, full kitchen, free wifi, free breakfast... What is not to like? Despite the central location, it is also very quiet. Laundry facilities on site if you stay for a while. Parking, but it is pricey. I have to say, every one of the staff was extremely pleasant and always looking for ways to make our stay more enjoyable. Nice touches like free newspapers in the morning, trays to take your breakfast to your room, full sized refrigerator in the rooms, dishwasher... We really enjoyed our stay here. Check out the Phillips Collection art museum and the Society of the Cincinnati nearby, both have lovely collections worth visiting.
"Great location in Washington, DC"
08/19/14 Dave M Louisville, Kentucky
A great location with a lot of food options nearby. The room was comfortable and the service was very good. Breakfast was fine (typical of a Residence Inn). I had one gripe - that my internet/WiFi was spotty. My connection would phase in and out. Other than that, a very good stay.
"Pleasant Hotel Suprise in DC!"
08/07/14 slt8y1 Cleveland, Ohio
This hotel gets so many things right. • The room was clean, well-stocked amenities (except for lotion). • The suites were large enough and it was nice to have a comfortable couch. The internet (wireless only) was steady and easy to connect to. • Updated lighting near the bed • GREAT breakfast with plenty of choices • Parking was at a city premium, but just an 8 minute walk to the the DuPont metro • Housekeeping was professional and unobtrusive The Front Desk Staff was hit/miss. No major issues, but some staff were more helpful/welcoming than others. This hotel was a pleasant surprise, but I have yet to be disappointed by the Residence Inn Brand, and this hotel was one of the best. Tip. When checking-in, park as close to the Parking garage entrance as you can, you need your parking stub to enter the garage. And key your key card handy to operate the elevator.

We stayed for 5 nights prior to a conference. The hotel is well located to the metro and there are grocery stores, cafes & restaurants in walking distance. The extra space, being a serviced apartment, is most welcome. The reception staff are variable. Breakfast is provided every morning - it is varied and tasty, and the service staff are most helpful. There is a happy hour type snack service on Mon, Tues, Wed evenings every week. A fantastic touch rarely seen these days. I would return should I find myself in Washington again. I would also consider staying at other Residence Inn properties in the US, should I be travelling there in the future. Keep up the good work.

This was a great choice for our family of 5. The room was large and spacious which is hard to find in the DC Area. The 2 bathrooms made getting ready for the day much easier and faster with 3 teenage girls. Breakfast was provided each day. The morning staff was wonderful and the food was plentiful. It is a bit of a walk to the DC area, but we mostly took cabs so this wasn't a problem. The only problem we ran into was the lack of hotel parking for the one day we rented a car, which happened to be on a busy Saturday in the spring. We would stay here again.
"Within reach of greatness"
07/01/14 KerryBorn Washington State
This is a great location on the edge of Georgetown. When you go outside the neighborhood is full of energy with cute restaurants and cafes everywhere. It is close to lots of Embassies and there is a Safeway Grocery on Cocoran Street within easy walking distance (10 - 15 mins). My studio room is on the top floor looking out over roof-top decks and interesting roof shapes. I love it. However, most of the rooms in this hotel probably have rather depressing views of other buildings. The downside of being on the top floor is the noise of the air-conditioning. I turn it off on a regular basis just to get relief from the noise. The frig also makes strange noises but not all the time. Despite the noise of the frig I would not trade the convenience of having my own kitchen. I have been eating out for a couple of weeks so it is great to be able to prepare my own food when I want. That said, the kitchen has no oven and only two burners. It works fine for me but might be difficult for a family My studio room is nicely decorated and I am very comfortable. The lobby and dining area are also nicely decorated. However, there is no getting around that the lobby is small and pokey and that the dining area is depressing with no windows. I wonder if it would be possible to put a few chairs outside the front door since there is no outdoor space whatsoever? I stayed at the Marriott by Dulles airport and they had a lovely seating area outside their front door. Maybe it would be possible to put in a roof garden or get some space at the back of the hotel. If this hotel had some nice outdoor seating and windows in the dining area I would give it a 5. The staff are exceptional. I particular admired the kitchen staff - always smiling and helpful. The cook is so cheerful that he would cheer anybody up. The food isn't bad although I am getting very tired of scrambed eggs. Still - I should not complain about a free breakfast. For those of you you who like to walk it is easy to get to Rock Creek Trail from this hotel. I took the trail down to the Lincoln Memorial and to the path along the Georgetown canal - very enjoyable.
"Great location & staff"
06/23/14 Tim M Adelaide, Australia
This is an affordable serviced apartment - an all in one bedroom, lounge and kitchenette. Everything is fine except the air conditioning which is too noisy to have on. Fortunately, it was not needed. The staff are very polite and helpful. For some odd reason, the lifts are a bit smelly but the reception and coffee area smells great - like a cinnamon bun. The room was odourless and clean. The location is marvellous. All the life of Dupont Circle right there.
"Excellent hotel with great staff and service"
06/09/14 shelly16a australia
We stayed here for 5 nights and the hotel and its services and staff were outstanding. The location is excellent, just off Dupont Circle and a short walk to the Metro. The rooms were very spacious, the breakfast was more than adequate . The availability of a guest laundry was very welcome after travelling for several weeks. Highly recommended as a base for exploring Washington DC.
"A wonderful stay"
06/04/14 loconnor0526 Where the Army Sends Us
We visited DC for a long weekend during the beginning of May with our 3 small children and had a wonderful stay. We booked a one-bedroom suite and had plenty of room. The rooms were very well laid out and every piece of furniture was well thought out and really utilized the space. We LOVE having a kitchenette when we travel with our crew, so we used that quite a bit. Plus, we scheduled grocery delivery from Safeway (worth.every.penny) the night we arrived as there is not a real grocery store within walking distance of the hotel. The Metro was very convenient and there were plenty of places to eat in the area. We didn't have a car, so we flew into Reagan National, caught the Metro and took it easily to our hotel. This is on our short list of hotels to stay at when we come back to the city to visit family. Thanks!!
