"Great Hotel in DuPont Circle"
This is a great hotel for the business traveler for either short term or longer term trips. Huge Suites - not overly fancy but very functional, roomy and comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great location and rooms, bad garage"
The hotel was very clean and rooms were spacious. The room even had a keurig coffee machine. The location was great with easy access to metro, numerous affordable restaurants on the same street, safe leafy neighborhood, and nightlife near by. The only drawback is the parking garage. It's very narrow and spots are limited. If you go to the bottom level […] and there are no spots, it's very difficult to back out. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent Choice for a family!"
Where do I begin? The rooms are updated and nice, clean. The free breakfast saves a family a lot of money because it offers filling food, not just continental. My family loved making their waffles and I loved the healthy fruit and potatoes. The social hour from Monday to Wed is another way that a family can save money! A full-on dinner--free!!!! The […] hotel is conveniently located to a metro, which again, is great for a family. I saved the best for last---the staff! They are super friendly, attentive and caring. You can't go wrong here! "Girls trip to DC"
My sister and I took our two nieces to DC for their first visit ever. The hotel was terrific......very clean, super helpful and friendly staff! Could not have asked for a nicer room that was perfect for our girl's trip. Everything about the room was comfortable: the furniture, the beds and the air conditioning. The location was great, only a couple […] of blocks away from the Dupont Circle Metro stop. Lots of great restaurants and shops nearby including a market and grocery store if one was needed. The breakfast was also very nice to have each morning. I would highly recommend the hotel and would absolutely stay there again. Great location! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The only problem we had was check in was confusing for the guy checking us in. No place does it tell about a incidental charge. The sight also had parking at one rate and was given a bigger rate when we got there. Other than that everything with the hotel was great. Our room was wonderful and very very clean. Breakfast was beyond yummy. Way more than […] I expected. We would recommend this hotel to others. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Near good neighborhood restaurants (Bistro du Coin), good breakfast spread. Watch out for car park charges ($37 per night). Beds can be soft. Spacious roomsGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Nice family hotel in Dupont Circle. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a suite for a family of 4. Ample room and it was nice to have a kitchen and eat-in area. Breakfast was excellent.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient location near DuPont Circle."
Enjoyed our 1 night stay as location was convenient to GWU Mt Vernon campus..............Genuine Expedia guest review
The location was perfect for our trip...close to shops, food and the metro line. We were able to get where we needed and had lots of things nearby to do. Staff very friendly and had items needed at the hotel!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Recently renovated - friendly staff - good locale"
The hotel was finishing up a complete renovation - everything was clean and attractive. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful - short walk to metro and to many good restaurants. Could walk to White House area and to Georgetown. Complimentary breakfast was helpful and included both hot and cold items. Only minor issue was maintaining comfortable […] room temp - AC could get very cold but when turned off room could get too hot. A little noisy outside - but what do you expect in a city ? "Good location, old building"
The hotel needs a significant upgrade. The air conditioning was not functioning properly, the bathroom door could not be locked... The bed was very small for 2 people. Excellent location though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to Dupont Circle for Embassy Tours"
I was disappointed that the hotel was still having construction done since it was suppose to be completed by our stay. The lobby was definitely not finished. We had to go to the restaurant next door that was connected to the hotel for breakfast. That said, the location was ideal for what we wanted to do and would come back again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great stay & breakfast. Hotel under renovation until May 10. New rooms are great. A bit of inconvenience with renovation work. Still a good bargain and enjoyable stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great family hotel"
Great experience! Would definitely stay there again. Staff incredibly attentive and amenities like wifi, breakfast, laundry, parking, and rollaway bed were so convenient for family of four. The only drawback was the construction going on which was a bit noisy hence the three rating on conditon. Not dancy but well appointed.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A girls weekend in D.C."
Wonderful staff and even with the construction going on right now it was a nice and quiet stay. But there were some things that we were concern about during our stay. The staff informed us that breakfast ended at 9:30 & the information that was posted in our suite and dated for the month of April stated 10am. But every time we attempted to get breakfast […] they were closed before those times. And when we did get there before 9, they were taking the food away and informed us we couldn't eat even though there were people there eating. We were also charged $0.75 for a local call & nothing in the room stated we would be charged for local calls. I don't know maybe it's a Washington, D.C. thing. Just like being charged $0.05 for bags at the local stores/shops. And finally the pullout in the suite was horrible, like sleeping on box spring only. I hope the new construction and renovations include updated pullout sofa beds! But with all that was going on the staff that worked the three days we were there were amazing especially the night we checked in on 4/11. Because of the staff we would stay there again. "Loved the neighborhood!"
Great staff, hotel is being remodeled right now so when it´s done this will be a great hotel. So convenient with the free breakfast buffet, our kids loved the waffles. A 20 min walk to Georgetown in one direction, and a 20 min walk to the The White House and the Mall in another direction. Lots of restaurants within walking distance too.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Excellent location at an affordable rate. Cleanliness , amenities and service was good. I recommend it for familiesGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location at a great price."
Very large, comfortable room with full kitchen. The location is near the metro, which made getting to all of the major sites very easy. The buffet breakfast every morning was great and the staff could not have been more helpful. I would stay in this hotel again and recommend it to others planning to stay in downtown DC.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for families with kids, but not 5star location"
good suite for families, with a kitchenette, and breakfast buffet. Room cleanliness was not top quality though. Service and staff was great.Genuine Expedia guest review
I love this hotel. It located at DuPont Circle, DC's most enjoyable area. 3 blocks from the Metro stop. Surrounded by embassies. Its just a fun place to stay. BUT, the mattress was so old that I felt like I would fall to the floor because the edges were so worn out. The chair in my room had duck tape patches on the arm. But I'll stay here again because […] of the location and the freindly staff. The free breakfast as "good" and more than you'd expect for free. The free dinner was great the couple of nights we elected to stay in. Overall a B-. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Loved my stay"
The room was great. I had a kitchen and bed was away from the traffic of the potentially loud hallway, so I didn't hear a peep. The air quality (dry) and the pillows (really small) were the only improvements I could see. Food was fantastic, absolutely fantastic. I recommend this hotel for anyone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overpriced For what they Offer"
The Location near DuPont Circle is great. I found the staff for the most part very helpful and friendly. I have 2 complaints. 1. the bed was rather uncomfortable. 2. I requested some towels at 7 o'clock, at 10:20 the front desk called to apologize for not getting me the towels and asked if it was ok to bring them up then.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Everything we needed was here"
Great location, near the metro, restaurants, sightseeing bus. Hotel is a little dated but had spacious room, complimentary breakfast, managers special nights, good security, friendly helpful staff, free wi-fi and computers with printers. Loved the ice maker in the room. Overall great stay. Would have liked a comfier bed.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Rigtig godt familiehotel"

"Fabulous value for the money"

My husband, who is working in DC for two months, and I are staying here and after one month I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It is centrally located in Dupont Circle, within a five minute walk to the Metro. The area is filled with restaurants and shops and a subway ride of 15 minutes will get you to most of the sights in DC. The rooms were all recently renovated and the hotel strives to give their customers a good experience while here. We are in a two bedroom, two bath suite, with a small kitchen adjacent to a dining table for 4 and a living area. (The living room has a sofa bed, so 6 could stay here comfortably.) The bedrooms are very large, by most hotel standards, and have adequate closets, etc. My only complaint is that the sink is in the bedroom, and the bath/shower and toilet in an enclosed area beyond. I have never been a fan of this style primarily because I am always trying to eke out every minute of sleep, and I don't really love hearing my husband shave, etc. The hotel provides a full breakfast, buffet style, every morning and includes cereals, fruit, eggs, sausage or Canadian bacon, coffee, juice, etc., and the staff members who work breakfast are extremely helpful. We had a guest for a week who liked hot chocolate. A member of the staff made it for her by heating up milk in the kitchen each day. Free daily newspapers, including the Washington Post and USA Today are available each morning in the breakfast area. The hotel also offers free dinners on Monday thru Wednesday night. There are very basic, but if you are on a tight budget, they fill a need. Typical fare would be BBQ, tacos, etc. All of the other hotel staff are equally helpful and friendly. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels and have not encountered a more helpful staff anywhere. That said, the range of knowledge here is restricted. There is no concierge, for example, so you are on your own to make reservations or get tickets for venues. If you stay here I would recommend a room on the back side of the hotel, which is quieter. And if you are out and about looking for restaurants, I would recommend Esme (Middle Eastern), Zorbas (Greek). More upscale is Blue Duck Tavern, in the Park Hyatt, which is 10 minutes away -- requires reservations. My rating of 4 stars is based on value primarily. This is not quite a 4 star hotel, like the Hyatt, but it is way above average in most regards.
"Convenient, decent, comfortable"
11/03/14 PatTravels2013 Buffalo, New York
Typical Residence Inn standards, comfortably appointed, breakfast had options and waffle stand. Only here for one night so didn't really utilize the kitchen/living room but would stay here again. The Residence Inn downtown seemed newer but I would definitely stay here again. If the smell of cigarette smoke bothers you , stay away from room 310 which had an odor that the front desk attributed to be being above the outdoor smoking station. I wasn't so sure it wasn't in the room itself but I changed rooms. It's nice to arrive to comfortable room after a busy DC day.

I was arriving in Washington without a booking. I needed easy access to the State Department and GWU Hospitals. This location worked since the Metro isn't far. The place served as a good place to recover from a 14 hour flight from Dubai before reporting for duty two mornings hence. It was a perfect place to crash and sleep. The street right outside the door had dozens of choices for eating and the streets were great for walking. This was a great experience.
"Good breakfast, great rooms"

Like many RIs, this place is well run and maintained. The rooms are spacious and have at least the look of being recently remodeled. The breakfast is good and the staff is friendly and warm. We'll go back!
"wonderful location for exploring Washington"
09/22/14 astrid527 Cherry Hill, New Jersey
My husband and grown son spent 5 days in Washington, exploring and attending a conference. We had not been to the nation's capital in over 10 years, and much has changed. The three of us were quite comfortable in a one bedroom suite, with a sofa bed in the extra room. No need for our car which stayed in the underground garage. 3 Metro stations within just 2-3 blocks from the hotel made exploring easy;multiple restaurants of all varieties within just a few blocks as well. Hot breakfast each morning was complimentary, with morning room staff SO friendly and cheerful! Typical Marriott hospitality was why we chose to stay here. The Manassas (Bull Run) battlefield was an easy half hour ride away, for an interesting morning of Civil War history.

Loved this hotel. Friendly front desk staff and the rooms are very well equipt. Eateries and grocery shop in walking distance and close to the metro. The wifi was good. I will definitely stay there again.
"Just how I like it"
09/15/14 Brad A Washington DC, District of Columbia
I did not stay at this hotel but my car battery died while parked in front and I did not have my mobile phone. After inquiring for some assistance at the front desk, I realized this is exactly the type of service I would want to enjoy if I stayed here as Terrence was simply outstanding in anticipating all of my needs. If I have guest coming from out of town, I will strongly encourage them to stay here for guest service and location. I didn't see the rooms, but the lobby and dining area was immaculately clean which is always a good sign.

This was a terrific experience. Terrence (front desk) was outstanding and went out of his way to provide superb customer service! Others on staff responded immediately and with a smile, to questions or small issues. Rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. My business companions stayed at another '5 star' hotel and complained frequently at not having a refrigerator or microwave, etc.(forcing them to eat each meal on the economy). This location truly made the short walk to my conference well worth the few minutes extra that it took me each morning and afternoon to walk to the conference location. This hotel is 1 1/2 blocks from the Dupont Circle Metro, has a great little market 2 doors away, and several restaurants within a short walk. Neighborhood is great and I never felt threatened even walking alone. I highly recommend this location!
"Great location, great service, great stay"
08/21/14 maurahs Washington DC, District of Columbia
This all suite hotel is in a great location close to the Metro, a huge selection of restaurants, some fabulous museums and bookshops at Dupont Circle. The staff are extremely helpful. The rooms are spacious, super clean, full kitchen, free wifi, free breakfast... What is not to like? Despite the central location, it is also very quiet. Laundry facilities on site if you stay for a while. Parking, but it is pricey. I have to say, every one of the staff was extremely pleasant and always looking for ways to make our stay more enjoyable. Nice touches like free newspapers in the morning, trays to take your breakfast to your room, full sized refrigerator in the rooms, dishwasher... We really enjoyed our stay here. Check out the Phillips Collection art museum and the Society of the Cincinnati nearby, both have lovely collections worth visiting.
"Great location in Washington, DC"
08/19/14 Dave M Louisville, Kentucky
A great location with a lot of food options nearby. The room was comfortable and the service was very good. Breakfast was fine (typical of a Residence Inn). I had one gripe - that my internet/WiFi was spotty. My connection would phase in and out. Other than that, a very good stay.
