For a family, the car valet service was really convenient; location can't be beat -- walk across the street to the Waikiki beach; apartment is extremely roomy, although note that on floors below 12, your ocean view is eclipsed by a tower in front of you.

This was our second stay at the Aston Beach Tower, and this visit was even better than the first. As others have noted, the view is fantastic, the rooms are huge, and the staff is top notch. Right across the street is one of the best locations on Waikiki beach. This area has a rock wall that stops some of the waves, making it perfect for those with […] younger children. However, a short walk to either side and the wall is gone allowing you to surf, bodyboard, or just bounce in the waves. The staff is probably the Beach Tower's greatest asset. In addition to a quick and smooth check-in, they also called to make sure everything was going well with our visit. The 3 main valet staff we encountered were Russ, Ed, and Eddy and I can't say enough about them. They are friendly, helpful, and will offer an opinion when asked. The housekeeping staff was also very good, there is twice daily service at the hotel. The evening service is primarily turndown, but they will also bring fresh towels as necessary. From the unit, I don't know how you could possibly have a better view. From the huge lanai we could see Diamond Head to the left, and Barbers Point to the right. From the back we had a great view of the mountains. All of this view, from a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit with a full kitchen and washer/driver with Waikiki Beach right below us. For stays on Waikiki Beach, we don't need to look at any other places to stay. We've found our new "home" away from home. Read more

We booked this place for the size of the room and the view. We were on the 35th floor and we had a spectacular panoramic view of the ocean, Waikiki Beach, and DiamondHead. Everything is within walking distance including numerous dining options. Hula Grill was our favorite but a little pricey so another option is McDonald's right on the corner or Burger […] King located on the street behind the tower. Crepe House is fabulous for Hawaiian Ice which we had nightly with the kids. Subway located to your right down the main walk on Waikiki. The bed in the master was quite hard and uncomfortable for me. And we had a couple of issues with the wireless internet during our stay. The staff is quite friendly and helpful. Valet service is superb. If you are looking for a "home away from home" atmosphere then this is the place to stay. Laundry available in room. Washing powder provided daily. Maid service twice daily. Clean and comfortable unit, with nice furnishings. Full kitchen but don't expect all the kitchen items do make a gourmet meal. But there's enough to be functional. The view from the lanai (balcony) was great, but you need to be above (about) the 20th floor to get an unobstructed view of the entire beach. We were on the 17th floor which was slightly above the Pacific Beach hotel on one side and the Waikiki Circle Hotel in front. The Circle Hotel blocked part of the view, but not enough to be annoying. You are in the hustle of Waikiki, so if you are looking for a quiet Hawaii experience, this is not the location for you. We got the two bedroom ocean room floor. Room 2801. We had a full kitchen and one master bedroom with his and her sinks and separate shower, and the second room had a shared bathroom with two regular beds (think full size beds) It had a dining room and a living room. I have stayed in Waikiki around 30 times, mostly at the Outrigger Waikiki and Reef, Outrigger East, Wyndham, among many others. This property was nice. I didn't have any major complaints except the pool could have been heated slightly-- but most of the hotels do not heat their pool. It was our first trip to Oahu and the Aston Waikiki Beach Tower turned out to be a great choice. The suite was much larger than I expected with two bedrooms, a living room, and full kitchen. We stayed on the 20th floor and had a fantastic view of Waikiki beach and the ocean. We stayed at this hotel twice over our 2 1/2 week Hawaiian vacation. The first stay of two nights was ok--but, the room was in need of up dating(the carpet was old looking,but, clean. The water for the guest bedroom sink and shower was only hot water(no cold water available for brushing teethe or cooling down the temp. The televisions(there were three) were modern digital models-but, the cable equipment made the TV' almost impossible to operate. The Aston Waikiki Beach Tower is a fabulous condo/hotel building. You absolutely cannot beat the location (directly across the street from Waikiki Beach) and the views from the oceanview lanais are incredible. My only criticisms are that the room had a coffee maker but no filters or coffee (can we really be expected to buy them if we are only there […] a few days?), there was always at least one elevator that wasn't working (which is a real problem in a 40 floor building) and the beds were not very comfortable. For the amount of money you pay for these condos, I would not have expected to have to deal with these issues. That said, it's hard not to have a good trip when you are right across from the beach with a view like that. If not the only one, this is one of the few hotels in Waikiki that doesn't charge for parking and have a free valet service. We stayed at a condo with 2 rooms, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, huge living room and a huge balcony. I tell what, to a partial ocean view this was the best hotel ever. The staff were extremelly helpful, everyday we got free newspaper […] by the door, the kitchen comes fully loaded with microwave oven, regular oven, huge fridge with ice maker and water on the door, dishwasher and all the possible gadgets you my need to cook. The room even had a laundry machine and dryer with everything u need to do wash ur clothing. The rooms have huge closets, tv, DVD players and the beds are extremely comfortable. The pillows I can't even mention. They are amazingly soft and fluffy. We stayed there for 7 days and not one day we didn't receive a phone call from the concierge asking if everything was fine or if we need anything from them. I highly suggest this hotel if you have few extra bucks to pay for. The only thing it concerned me a lil was the security of the hotel. Anyone could pass by the lobby and get on the elevator without being asked a single question. I think they could improve the safety of their guests by adding a safety mechanism at the elevator. May only allow people who are guests to be able to use the elevator like many other hotels here. But overall I would rate this hotel 5. Read more

They were so friendly, helpful, warm, and courteous. Need directions? Need a great bakery? Need a warm and friendly "Welcome back!"? They were there to always provide a greeting, morning and evening. Besides the people, the location of the Waikiki Beach Tower couldn't have been nicer. We were literally steps away from Waikiki's Kuhio Beach, which was very sheltered. We originally booked a partial ocean view suite at this hotel for our family holiday, however upon reading reviews decided to contact the hotel prior to our arrival and upgrade to a premium ocean view suite.
