"Great value for a 1 bedroom hotel in Waikiki"
We enjoyed our 1 bedroom suite. It was pleasantly large and great for 3 people. We'd definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room cleaning services comes just before you go to bed in the eveningGenuine Expedia guest review
My family and I stayed for the weekend of April 26, 2013. The hotel is in walking distance of everything and although the hotel is currently in renovation stages, our experience was still a good one. I will most definitely come back again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"If you have kids its a good place to stay"
We choose this location because we have to children and this is a one bedroom compared to a hotel room for the same dollar amount. Overall kinda dated but the location and size of the room was worth it. The staff was nice. We used the pool and playground allot as well.Genuine Expedia guest review
not all elivators at work on multistoried building causes delayes. parking is congested but fairly available for $12 per day in and out. rooms with kitchen. we have to clean dishes before n after use. one block to beach. there was water shutoff for 4 hrs in day time. house keeping was really good. this hotel do not have king bed.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great place with full kitchen"
Great hotel..... Very roomy..I had family gatherings here because I had the largest room with a separate living room area and full kitchen. The facility had a BBQ down by the pool along with a playground area for kids.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to beach!"
The hotel room looked old, with little update with repairs. Located close to beach and had a full kitchen. Would not stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, but rooms are old"
When we arrived we got a very old room, which was not acceptable for us. It looked like a hotel room not changed since the 70s. After complaining we got a newer room in the other tower, which was ok. In general I would question the 3 star status of this hotel. The staff was very friendly and the location of the hotel is very good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel needs upkeep."
Very disapointed with the hotel, when I checked in they din not bothered to tell me that the pool was closed for maintenance. I asked to be moved to another hotel, luckily they did but we had pack everything again including all the groceries we purchase for the week stay. The rooms are very old and unkept. My advise spend a little more money and go […] to another hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Very disappointed that the pool was not in working condition and this was not noted on the web when I booked it (and apparently has been "off-line" for a few months. I would not have booked it had I known. The rooms are very large and the staff were helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My room has kitchen and suite room nice and clean but just the both room little small.Genuine Expedia guest review
The room was not very clean when we arrived. Dirt around the edges. The bathroom window was open, which made the room warm and muggy. The bed was comfortable, but for the cost and location I expected better. The furniture was in poor condition. The hallways were extremely warm - no air conditioning. Warmer than the outside. The elevators smelled bad […] most of the time. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"in need of serious renovations, beware of parking"
The first room we were given was super run down with stained and rippled carpet, sagging mattress, & holy curtains. We had to stay here for a few nights until they were able to switch us to one of the more updated rooms. The room was clean. Check in was one of the slowest, most painful processes with a long line & no manager in sight. When we finally […] did move to our new room, we were pleasantly surprised with updated granite & newer furnishings. We learned them that many of the rooms are actually condos & if the owner hasn't done any renovations, it could be left unchanged from what looked like the early 90s. The parking was one of the most archaic i have ever experienced. $12 a day was not unreasonable but you had to pay every day or if you stayed and did not pay for 24 hours from time stamp of your entry, they would charge you double. You could pay for one week, but no more than 1 day at a time, which was very inconvenient. The hotel refused to field complaints, stating they did not own the building and had no control of it. What a joke. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overall great hotel in Waikiki"
A great hotel, nice location , close to the beach , the attractions such as Zoo and the Diamond Head (that's a bit if walking ). A quiter not so crowded part of Waikiki . Good amenities, complimentary newspaper is nice :) haven't really been to the recreation area, but who needs it when you have the ocean :) the only downside is that in some parts the […] hotel seems a bit old and tired, and possibly needs a renovation to add some fresh touch to it. The staff are great and helpful. There are on site supermarket and cafe as well. Oh and the lobby is very unusual, with all the historic photos and the fish swimming in the ponds! "Good, but rooms can vary"
Great location. Lobby to condo hotel is lovely, but may be misleading to your unit's condition. We switched rooms because the first unit was falling apart, but I need to give high marks to the hotel staff who handled it quickly, and very nicely. Taylor was very understanding & found us another room that was much better. Keep in mind that these units […] are individually owned and so some are kept up better than others. Space was pretty good for our family of four. Location is good, if you are looking for convenience to beach, restaurants, shopping. Waikiki is over-the-top busy with tour buses, so it's no longer the "surfer" beach culture from years past. I was disappointed in how much it's changed, but I haven't been there in 17 years and the development has been incredible -- Prada, Vuiton, all high end stores. Thank god Cheeseburger in Paradise is around the corner #for a reasonable priced meal!#. However, there are some great restaurants if you don't mind the prices -- Dukes was very good, and other national chains are along the main drag, too. My ratings reflect the schism between the condition of our first unit and the great customer service by staff. First unit was in poor condition. For second unit which we actually stayed in, it was very clean and in good condition, albeit rather out of date. We would stay here again, but I would request an updated unit in tower 1. Be sure to visit the farmer's/food market on Thurs from 4-8 in the Int'l Market -- the food is awesome! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"You can find a newer and cleaner hotel"
Nothing really special about this hotel. They have a little bit of everything..location, service, views...The only issue..rooms are old and not very clean. Staffs are slow responding but friendly. Overall I think you get what you paid for.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Misleading, Bait and Switch, Old dirty hotel"
The pictures of the hotel on the website are not the actual rooms. Bait and switch. The king beds are 1970's twin beds pushed together. Old dirty flooring. The water was turned off all day one day which made it difficult to get ready for the night events we had planned. I was extremley disappointed in the hotel and would never ever stay in this hotel […] ever again. Just very disappointed being that this was the first time in Hawaii for my husband and kids. "No complaints - Perfect Stay"
This hotel is 1-1/2 blocks from the beach. The neighborhood is perfect if you are looking for action. There is so much to do all within walking distance. I know, I have blisters to prove it! I had a kitchen which helped to save money. The view was very nice. I was on the end of the building, Room 3014 - Tower II, so I could see Diamond Head and Waikiki […] Beach. It was a safe neighborhood and a little less crowded since it was on the end of all the hotels. You can walk to the Aquarium and the zoo. They have room service daily, but I put my "Do Not Disturb" sign out and they respected that. There is a surcharge of $10/day, but you get free DVD rental and wifi for that, also well worth it. They have a coffee shop with computers and printers, but I brought my own lap top, but I did use the printer. The lobby is an open air with a koi pond. The parking is $12/day but well worth it. You just have to remember what tower you're in and what level you parked on. There is a Catholic church at the end of the street. Starbucks a few blocks over, across from the zoo. Lots of places to shop and eat. I would stay here again. It would be nice to have a hotel right on the beach, but those hotels are in a very congested area. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Older place but maintained well. Cannot swim at the beach. Parking is easy. Room is big. Pillows are small. Easy to go to North Shore and easy to go to Poipu IF you have acar. Good deal for price. Staying three nights total.Genuine Expedia guest review
"good hotel, good services, good location"
everything was as expected. comfortable, close to the beach, good room service, friendly front desk personnel, decent cleanliness. would definitely recommend this hotel to other friends for their stay in Waikiki.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Won't go there again!"
The room was clean as required, but the utensil selection for the condo as I've seen in many other was not good. TV was there, but had really bad selection of channels and bad quality. The hotel rooms are pretty outdated. Parking costs $12 every day. Felt that was ridiculous given such a big hotel chain. Money has to be made out of everything. Out […] of 3 days I stayed, our floor elevator button was broken for two days causing us to use the Up to go down and hence the trouble of riding unwantedly with kids. The hotel is located inside a maze of other hotels and hence no views or anything. Won't go here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good stay if you are on a budget."
They have great service and friendly staff. The hotel still needs some more up dating. Since it is a condo, you save money because you can cook your own meals. They renovated the tennis court, playground, and pool area so it looks very nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Decent place for couples or families."
Stayed here for a week with the hubby. Was mostly ok. Only complaints were that there was a giant hair in the shower when we arrived, gross, and the air conditioner made a horrendous noise for our entire visit. It sounded like it was dying or something. Called front desk, they said they would send someone up, never did. Kitchen is well equipped for […] just about anything and the staff is reasonably nice. Decent location, just 2 blocks from the beach. They offer free, unlimited DVD rental, as well as beach towels to check out. I would probably stay here again, unless my budget were to improve. "Great Family hotel with much to do!"
Arrived at the Hotel and parked in the checking parking. It will cost you $12.00 per day or $72.00 per week. The prices did go up from the last time, but it is still better than most of the hotels in the same area. The Front desk staff were very helpful and genuinely friendly. Got to our room on the 32nd floor and the view was spectacular. The room […] was clean, but was a little dated. My sister stayed in another room that had an owner and that room was a very clean room with hardwood floors and marble counter tops. The Pool is on the 6th floor and you get Beach/Pool towels from the 5th floor. Water was nice and they had a jacuzzi. There is also a playground, basketball court and places to barbecue. There are also laundry facilities that will cost you $1.50 to wash and $1.50 to dry. Our room had a kitchenette which is the main reason we stay here instead of elsewhere. we are able to go the the nearby grocery store and stock up on supplies and cook. we had a bunch of family over and the room was big enough to accommodate everyone. They do have WIFI. There is also a $10.00 per day resort fee which I didn't like. In all, I recommend this Condo/Hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel at the quiet end of Waikiki"
Overall, this is a great place to stay near the quiet end of Waikiki. Families will like the pool and barbecue/picnic area which includes tennis courts and a putting green. Only 2 short blocks from the beach and lots of shopping for the ladies on Kalakaua Ave. The room was large and had a full kitchen but the bed was none too comfortable and the TV […] didn't work all that well. On the other hand, we don't go to Waikiki to watch TV so that didn't Really affect us. All in all, we would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The staff (Cliff) was absolutely helpful in everything we needed, be it directions, food suggestion and excursions. The room was clean and had extra pillows and sheets. The kitchen was fully equipped and open. The hotel was two blocks away from the beach and walking distance to Rainbow Drive-In and the zoo. We stayed for 5 days with my 4 year old, so […] having a kitchen was extremely important. My son enjoyed the putting green, playground and swimming pool. "good place to stay"
Check in was easy, the room clean and kept that way, and everything was in good shape.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel is absolutely perfect for travelers. I went with my boyfriend and another couple for our anniversary and couldn't have been more pleased. We were literally a two-minute walk from the beach and on the 32nd floor so we had an amazing view of the ocean. As soon as we walked in we were surprised by how the big the room was an dhow accommodating […] the kitchen was. They had plates, bowls, all utensils, variety of cups (such as mugs or small 'drink' cups), coffee maker, fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, baking gear, as well as pots and pans for cooking. The bathroom was a little small, but we just took turns using it to get ready and shower. Down stairs on the lobby floor is a convenient store that literally has everything. From sunblock and lotion to A.1. Sauce and pickles. This is where we go our food for the hotel instead of going out during the day. Also, we were only a block away from where more of our excursions picked us up. I wouldn't recommend renting a car or using a taxi (except to get to and from the airport and it's a $37 cab fare by the way, very expensive) because you can walk everywhere. As for shopping and restaurant stuff, its still all in perfect walking distance. We had a variety of restaurants such as sushi, mexican food, american food, and bar food all within walking distance. This hotel is perfect! If I ever go back to O'ahu, we will definitely stay here! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good if you need reasonably priced hotel"
Everything was fine with our stay except for the smell. Rooms are little oldish. Internet was covered in additional fee of $10 charged by hotel. Also disliked the fact that none of the utensils in the kitchen was non-stick. Room service people were good, always greeted with a smile.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Can't wait to come back!"
So I called a few days ahead of checking in to request a renovated room since I heard that only some of the rooms here were updated. When I got there, I walked in to a room with outdated furniture, an old school television (no flat screen) and a funky looking carpet. The only good thing about the room was that it had one of the most amazing views EVER […] of Diamond Head and of the ocean. Unfortunately, my other half is a little afraid of heights and didn't like the fact that we were on the 36th floor...so later that day we went downstairs to the lobby to request a new room. Right then and there they allowed us to check out another room that was available on a lower floor. I'm so glad my other half wanted to switch rooms!!! This room: unit 1912 on the 19th floor was fully renovated. It had a large flat screen TV, a breakfast bar area with stools, a brand new fridge with a built in ice machine and water filter, wood flooring, brand new microwave, large variety of dishes, cups, mugs, plates, bowls etc. Everything was near perfect! We were still able to have a beautiful view of the ocean here as well! Only downside was that the bed wasn't too comfortable and the bed's sheets seemed as if they were from a motel 6. Also, I wish there carpeting in the bedroom area instead of wood floor. Staff was very nice! The Expedia guy Levi at the front desk was very helpful and booked all of our activities for us. "Waikiki Aston at the banyan Stay"
We enjoyed our stay at this condo hotel. It was an alternative from staying at a regular hotel. "Great hotel for a family on tight budget"
We stayed in Aston Banyan for a week in August. We had very good experience. We would stay there again. It is not a Ritz but we didn't pay like Ritz either. Pros: - Location is fantastic. Just a block away from Waikiki and close to all the action. - The hotel is very family and kid friendly. They also gave my kids complimentary beach toys. There is […] free video games (PS2) and DVD. - Very friendly staff. They were very accommodating and upgraded us to a double bed + sofa bed room as we were 5. We did not need an extra roll-away bed. They also took care of the luggage before check in and after check out. - They have full kitchen which was very good for a quick breakfast or a lazy dinner after a full day of activities. - Nice recreation deck with pool, hot tubs, tennis courts, basket ball courts, play structures, etc. - They have laundry on every floor. - We found the nightly rate to be very reasonable. Cons: - The hotel is little dated. Carpet, furniture, etc could be upgraded. - Cleaning staff does not clean the kitchen utensils/area and they don't have a dish washer. "Okay budget hotel"
Our room wasn't ready by the 3:00 check in time, so we had to wait for about 45 minutes. We were very happy with the space in the room and the full kitchen facilities. The king size bed wasn't very comfortable. The pull out couch was unfit to sleep on. We pulled off the mattress and put it on the floor. The hotel gave us a thin pad to put over it which […] made it tolerable, but still not comfortable. The maid service was great. They made the beds each day and cleaned the bathroom and gave us fresh towels. We were able to use the DVD now service, although many of the movies listed were not available. They came and replaced the DVD player when it didn't work. We used the internet connection in the room. The staff was helpful in getting us connected. Overall, we were pleased with the room. The hotel is obviously aging, but was acceptable for the price we paid. Parking has gone up to $12.00 a day instead of the $10.00 we saw listed on the internet. You can buy a 7 day pass for $72.00 which gives you one day free. We like having the hotel so close to the beach. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Terrible Hotel - Stay At Your Own Risk"
One of the worst hotels I've stayed at. No, I'm exaggerating - it was THE worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Walking into the room is like walking into 1977, only dirtier. The curtains were torn, the furniture was unsightly and uncomfortable and the bedding felt like sandpaper. I thought they had a cool idea with a DVD kiosk but the 3 DVD's I rented all […] stopped playing after 30-60 minutes. The remote control on the TV didn't work. Positives: Great location, kitchen great for families with kids, room is separated by sliding door partitions, close to all shopping areas and the beach.
