A little over priced but its in a great family area of the beach.

My stay at this Hotel was great. Just being able to take the dog was a relief. I would reccomend this to all my friends and would stay here again

This hotel was absolutely hideous!!! It's very old & needs an immediate upgrade. It's not worth the money & the pictures are very misleading. The bathroom was tiny, the carpet was nasty, the pillows were flat, the stove & refrigerator was unbelievably outdated. The balcony was tiny! The staff at this hotel were all very helpful. we enjoyed the pools. our room had a great view of the ocean from our balcony,I liked that we could hear the waves on the beach we were on the sixth floor. Ok stay need better renovation work but good enough hotel better than most Pet friendly hotel is a plus but their is a fee per night

The stay was a disappointment. The rooms were out of date, the breakfast buffet was overpriced for what you got and it was EXTREMELY noisy. The key system was down and we had to keep getting people to let us in our rooms the first day and a half. We had a clean comfortable suite with an absolutely beautiful ocean view! The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful! The location of the hotel was perfect!

This is a really lovely house right in the center of the city. Rooms have charm, but modern. Free parking, breakfast, and wifi. Would definitely stay again!

Our room was showing serious wear. Old and outdated carpet, fixtures, decor, mattresses. Coffee maker had to be replaced during our weekend stay. Not a good value for a romantic getaway. However, housekeeping and bellhops go out of their way to make you welcome and comfortable.

MY WIFE AND I SPENT APRIL 10TH-13TH 2012 AT THIS HOTEL. I'M SORRY TO SAY THAT OVERALL IT WAS A DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE. ALTHOUGH IT WAS SPRING BREAK THIS HOTEL WAS NOT OPEN FOR BUSINESS. TO START YOUR DAY AT BREAKFAST IF YOU ORDER FROM THE MENU INSTEAD OF CHOICING THE BUFFET YOU WAITED 1/2 HOUR FOR YOUR FOOD TO ARRIVE. THERE WAS NO PLACE IN THE HOTEL […] TO HAVE LUNCH. THE RESTAURANT WAS ONLY OPEN THURS-SAT FOR DINNER. THE OUTDOOR BAR BY THE POOL ONLY TOOK CASH ( THE COMPUTER SYSTEM WAS DOWN ) FOR OUR ENTIRE STAY. THERE WAS A STARBUCKS COFFEE STAND IN THE THE LOBBY THAT WAS ONLY OPEN FROM 6AM-12 NOON BUT IT WAS ALMOST 7AM WHEN YOU COULD ACTUALLY GET A COFFEE. THE HOTEL STAFF WAS GREAT. THE FOOD WAS GREAT. While sitting on our balcony enjoying the ocean view, we saw a hawk on the balcony across from us! I guess he/she was enjoying the view as well! I recommend this place AND plan on staying here again!

Spur of the moment getaway. Nice hotel, aged, but nice and well kept. Pleasant staff and very accommodating. In-house breakfast was good and had a plentiful assortment of items. Would return again.

First room was disgusting! No dresser, stains on carpet, toilet rocked when sat on, refrigerator rocked. Requested a room change after 1st night. Next day we were put in a better room. Level of service depended on who waited on you. Some not great but there were two people, Rachel at front desk and Starbuck person that were really helpful and kind. […] Restaurant not that great. Parking garage is extremely small, even for a compact car. Room had no towels at arrival, and took almost an hour to get some sent up from the front desk. Door key wouldn't work, and had to return to front desk to have it replaced. General maintenance of the building was poor. Elevator broke our final day. it was a good stay, plenty of privacy, perfect for a getaway.

This hotel was amazing. The view of the beach was great. The only issue was the parking garage but that's a small issue to the overall hotel. It is a must stay.

Our room needed to updated. The carpet and furniture needed to be cleaned or replaced. Maid service was late in the day before cleaning.

If the Patricia Grand was the last hotel on Myrtle Beach...I would definitely find another place for a family vacation. This place was terrible. The balcony was covered with bugs, which crawled into our room if the patio door was left open. They were never cleaned up which can be testified to by the fact that the same cigarette butts were on the balcony […] all week and we don't smoke. We had to move a table to lower the murphy bed and the table leg fell off. We put our clothes in the credenzas and the drawer stops were broken and came out onto the floor. There were no safety strips in the tub and we had to try not to fall when taking a shower. Some days we were left towels some days we weren't. On other days we didn't get wash clothes. They took the dish cloths and towels and never gave us any fresh ones. We were left one roll of toilet paper for the week for 5 people. I even left the empty toilet paper roll on the bathroom counter to leave a hint that we were out. The housekeeper actually put the empty roll back on the roller and hung it back up. We ended up buying our own dish stuff, toilet paper and even a hand held vacuum to try and do some cleaning because the inside of the room was never cleaned either. The elevator is so slow you have to start out 10 minutes earlier and stand and stand waiting for the elevator to arrive. The door to our room did not close properly and we came back to find our room door left open by the cleaning people. Our room entrance cards were deactivated 3 times in 5 days...apparently their system "reset.": Making it necessary to ride the SLOW elevator down to the front desk each time to reactivate our room cards. The drains on the kitchen sink and tub were plugged as they would fill with water half way and slowly drain out. One plus was the beach...but since that is nature made....I guess the Patrica Grand couldn't mess that up. Housekeeping was HORRIBLE and the condition of the hotel room left a lot to be desired. My family and i really enjoyed our stay here at the resort and will come back again. The staff was very freindly. Our rooms were nice, the only problem we had was we had to stay on the cleaning crue for towels other than we liked it there.

The room was updated, very comfortable, and quiet at night. We loved having a decent sized refrigerator and microwave. However, even though there was a coffee maker, there were no mugs and the creamers were not replaced. The maid service was quick and efficent. The pools were nice and clean, with plenty of chairs and nice music playing during the day. […] The beach was close and it was a nice walk to the boardwalk from the hotel on the beach. The parking garage was close. There was a lot of construction going on, which we did not know about before hand. There were sounds of equipment being used during the day (made for problems with napping) and one of the elevators was reserved for workers. The Starbucks in the lobby was opened very randomly (but there was a Starbucks just up the street anyway). Staff, in general, were nice when we passed them. The front desk staff was fine for check in and for answering questions, but when we left, we received the most sincere thank you and well-wishing for our travels that I have ever had from a hotel, and it made a great last impression on us! Hotel was quite enjoyable but the weather was cooler then we had hoped. Was not too impressed with housekeeping since i had to ask three times to get extra pillows we needed. Finally caught the third housekeeper in the hallway with pillows for someone else that they gave to me. The ocean view from my room was phenomenal! Overall a pleasant stay. I would have thought, being so early in the season, that maintenance issues in my room could have been addressed. It led me to believe that hotel management never enter the rooms for inspection. The safe didn't work. Sliding door/mirror on closet was off track where you couldn't move […] it. Indoor/outdoor carpet on balcony had numerous burns from cigarettes being put out. The bathtub/shower really needed a better cleaning -- you could see mold under the safety bars on the walls of the shower. All that said, the front desk was the main problem area. Plumbing was not acceptable as the toilet handle had to be held for flush to complete. The kitchette sink faucett was very loose. The ocean front view was angled and not a full view of the sea. Luggage carts not available to customers unless bell hop was called. Door cards had to be reprogrammed when system crashed. Parking was only in garage across […] street and valet charge per night. The hotel is too large for only 2 elevators, there was a long wait. The room was clean but the bedding was stiff with detergent and the blanket should have been replaced a long time ago. Hallways were dirty, probably because they are exposed to the weather. We were not comfortable going to the pools because of the large volume of people and the general […] feeling of the building not being clean. Parking was across Ocean Blvd and required good timing and a fast sprint to avoid getting hit by passing vehicles. The location is good if you want to be in the middle of the action. Read more

I think check-in time should be earlier than 4pm. Only one person checking in people when we first arrived. The hotel is nice. Staff is nice. Room service is nice. Wish the bar would of been open. Our room had a nice view from the 9th floor. The sheets did not fit either of the beds good. The kids loved the inside pools and hot tubs. The hotel seemed quite pricey but I thought I would splurge for spring break based on the pictures. Parking is across the street and not very convienent. Upon check in guests are not allowed to use the luggage carts themselves. Therefore, had to use a bellhop. The outdoor pool was NOT clean. My 9 year old found a broken drinking glass on the bottom. […] If she had not had on goggles she could have gotten VERY hurt. It was only then that they cleaned it. The outdoor hot tub was not open for no apparent reason. The indoor lazy river is a joke, more than 8 people couldn't fit in it at the same time. The room was clean enough, the beds were comfortable, but the bathroom was very small and there were not many dishes in the kitchen. On our last night we ate at the slightly overpriced restaurant on site and I got a severe case of food poisioning. I asked for a refund for the meal and instead was given a 25% off voucher for another stay but I would have to book through them with a 2 night minimum. If you get a reservation that includes mini golf be aware you must ask for the vouchers everyday and you can only play from 4 - 7 pm. Lastly, if you are a smoker this is NOT the hotel for you. You are not permitted to smoke anywhere on the premises, including the outdoor pool area or your own balcony. Read more

this was the dirtiiest hotel we have stayed in ever.

Overall disappointed with the accomodations. Looked okay in lobby but room was very outdated with GOLD appliances, curtains, bedspreads, and falling apart vertical blinds in the room. NOT LIKE THE PHOTOS. My kitchen was so old and gross. Room had wet dog smell and I did not bring a pet. Great view and location, only.

The lobby staff did an excellent job. The location was great. The parking is very difficult (EXTREMELY narrow passage between levels). The inside of cabinets were very dated. The bathroom sink faucets were loose; however the bathroom and cabinets looked nice on the outside. I wish the resort was as nice as its pictures are! I expected much more...the bathroom light exploded w/out any cause, our toilet continued to clog & Housekeeping came in our room when we were in there! Place is outdated & funky...indoor heated pool was the BEST!

25 year old locks on the doors (according to the maintenence guy) kept us locked out of our room for half a day. when they thought they fixed the problem that evening, we had discovered, now the door doesnt lock at all. not real safe....The resturant is only open once or twice a week and the great looking coffe bar was never open during our 4 day stay....The […] people behind the desk are more worried about helping the poor people checking in than helping people who have already paid...The manager of this place doesnt care or do anything about a problem...DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! The hotel had alot of work going on. Our balcony was dirty and called the front desk to ask if they could clean it. No one ever came. Workers actually was looking in the windows from the scalpels they were on. I won't be staying there again..

I stayed here doing Spring break weekend (3/28/12-4/1/12) and the stay was wonderful. My kids enjoyed the lazy and so did I. I did have one scare...while we were in the room getting dressed someone one the door. Apparently someone was given the same room that i was staying in. Other than that it was a wonderful stay

We stayed for two nights. It was a good stay, I'm sure it would have been r if the weather was nicer.. we went to the breakfast in the hotel restaurant, not bad, with a nice view of the ocean. Rooms were clean, with a balcony. We did have trouble with our room key but the staff was nice about fixing the issue, after going to the lobby twice, they had […] someone open our room and walked up a working key when they fixed the glitch. so first of all i left my licence at my house and had a copy faxed over .. Carmen and the others were AWESOME about it and just super cool.. The room was awesome with a great view. The room was also very clean and just overall a chill place. Im coming back next month cant wait.!!!!

Though the hotel is a bit older and could use some updating. The fact that they were accommodating of our two beagle made it a wonderful choice for our weekend in myrtle beach. would recommend for anyone looking to bring a pet...

we went to Mrytle Beach and stayed here and really had a nice stay, the front counter stay was very nice.

The staff was outstanding. A friendly, helpful, family environment made our stay outstanding. From Management on down to the housekeepers, we felt that we were welcomed as their guests. The view was outstanding. I like the way the hotel is designed and the nice size rooms. Very pleased and will go there again.
