Spent 4 nights over Thanksgiving - DO NOT go to MapQuest for this property, they are so wrong. But once we found the place, it was surprisingly nice. 1 bedroom condo with fridge, m/w and 2 burner cook top. 2 flat screen TV's, 2 dbl beds which were good with a large bathroom. Shuttle free within a 3 mi radius - just a phone call away, never used our car!! Within a 15 minute walk to downtown old town area. Loved the location. However, suggest asking for a 3rd floor unit as early (and I mean EARLY) morning showers above us were waker-upper's!!! Bldg 2 very nice - had it's own hot tub and beautiful outdoor grills and eating areas. Furniture in our unit's (#2210) living room area was large, overstuffed and the couch (a sofa sleeper) was VERY uncomfortable to sit on. Lounge chair was too close to stretch out on but at least the rocker part worked. A bit crowded but not impossible. Reception desk was wonderful, attended to every detail without us asking. BE AWARE: $20 for 3 days of WIFI or $7+ per day!! Book it, you'll be happy!!

We were pleasantly surprised by the accomodations. Short walk into town - just right distance. The only discomfort we had was that we were able to hear the person walking around in the room above us and the person who snored loudly in the room adjacent to us. These unpleasant things could happen in any hotel so are not sufficient reason to avoid this one. Just bring earplugs -- as you should whenever you travel! You never know when you will need them!

I always read the reviews and look at pictures of the hotels and this hotel had a 95% recommended rate. I did not care for the pictures though, teal carpet was questionable, BUT when we got there the hotel was obviously renovated, no more teal carpet and the room was better than what I saw up the road for $600/night where some other guests were staying. Thank goodness they ran out of room there and we were forced to find a room elsewhere. It's location is perfect, just blocks away from everything. The grounds aren't "all that" but we were there to attend a wedding and be out and about and not stay in a hotel. Loved the flat screens though!

The condoa were renovated with mixed results. There were two good flat screen TVs and a very comfortable pillow top mattress, good bedding and towels. On the other hand the furniture in the small living room was too big, clunky and cheap, the oak cabinets were refinished a horrible orangy yellow which clashed with the pink granite countertop, and the too large Hamilton Beach coffee maker started dripping coffee on the counter after 3 days. We actually don't like intrusive maid service when we rent a condo, but one cleaning in the middle of 6 days would have been appreciated. NO FREE INTERNET, used to be available as free dial up at these condosand at other properties in Santa Fe. We are used to Wayport being free when we stay at Oakwood COrporate apartments.

I was in Santa Fe NM for overnight business and opted to stay at the Villas because of its close proximity to downtown. I ended up staying the majority of my stay in the hotel and found it extremely comfortable with a bed, kitchen and separate living area which was fantastic. The staff were friendly and I felt immediately comfortable as if I'd been a regular guest. The only drawback was that I had to pay for internet which was integral for my business overnight but oterwise it was fantastic. It's not kitsy. It's not extravagant. It was simply cozy so I wouldn't recommend it for guests seeking a "Santa Fe style" hotel or anything five star.

We would definitely stay there again, but I'd probably splurge on a upper floor room with a balcony.

The hotel is really a timeshare condo facility. It is large and the rooms are really full suites with full kitchens and living rooms. Very nice. The location is great- very close to the Plaza. The stay would have been perfect except for two encounters with one very rude staff member and the extremely insufficient number of parking spaces (especially handicapped). We returned from dinner at 11 p.m and there was no place to park. We are both handicapped and I had to drive to the registration desk across the street to ask where we were supposed to park. The rude clerk said she couldn't do anything about it and suggested we park across the street. We ended up parking illegally for the night as we couldn't walk that far! I would not recommended this hotel for handicapped people!

We were first time visitors to Sante Fe and not sure where to stay. We chose this hotel and were very pleased. It was very clean, everything worked and the location was fine. There is a convenience store within 2 blocks of the hotel and the Plaza is less than a mile away. Of course you walk all over anyway, so this is just a small warm up.

Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 13, 2009

We were very pleasantly surprised by the Villas of Santa Fe. It is more appropriately described as a condo rather than a hotel room, given the full kitchen and separate living room. It is within easy walking distance of the Plaza, shops and resturants. The only upgrade it needs is wireless internet access in the rooms.

The room had a living area, kitchen (complete with plates, flatware, etc.), two queen beds, two good size flat screen TV's, and a small lanai. It was within walking distance of a major grocery store, too, which eliminated the need to eat out for every meal and cut down on costs significantly. A very pleasant place to stay.

This was my second stay and it is a wonderful place to stay. It is like home away from home! The staff were great too and it is a short walk to the Plaza.
