This hotel is a very nice, clean place to stay. We stayed there for Christmas with two small children and it was great. Plenty of lights and things to look at. Christmas shows often during the day in the atrium. The hotel staff was wonderful. We only booked one night and decided to add another. Were going to have to change rooms (not fun with two toddlers) but a manager worked with my husband very nicely and worked it out so we could keep the same room. My daughter ended up with a diaper rash Christmas Eve and hotel searched until they came up with a Johnson & Johnson travel pack with Desitin in it for me. They gave me a whole pack both days of our stay!! I was impressed! If going at Christmas time we would definitely recommend the ICE Exhibit. Definitely take warm clothes!!! We enjoyed it. The only negative was the fees. Resort fee is high and you also have to pay $12 a day for parking so......It can add a lot to your daily rate. Dining wise we ate at Sunset Steves (seafood) and it was VERY expensive for not a lot of food. Have really enjoyed the buffet restraunt in the past but had no reservations available for the holidays. Overall a great hotel with great service.

Bed cover was dirty....had to ask for a clean set....pillows are smaller and flatter than normal...I slept terrible......the tub could have used some CLOROX.....guest parking is at the back of the hotel, a very long walk.... service fee is totally a ripe off......I paid mega bucks a day for shuttle service to the parks that I never used since I had my own car and had to pay mega bucks a day in parking to begin with, bottle water that I never saw in my room, and internet service that I never asked for. The nearest shopping center is about 3 miles away. I will stay somewhere else next time. It wasn't worth the mega bucks I paid to stay there.

The hotel was beautiful, especially with Full Christmas decor during our pre thanksgiving stay. I highly recommend the extra money for the atrium view. An a must , is dinner at the buffet! The food was seasoned to perfection, and one of the best buffets I've ever experienced. If I'm forced to include a needs improvement, I would say The bedding(i.e blanket should be a better quality, to match the plushness of the whole experience. Also, Restaraunt Sunset SAMs had neat decor, but was overpriced. However overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it felt like a resort vs. Just a hotel stay. We would definitely stay again!

This hotel is quite beautiful. There are three sections of the hotel that feature cities from florida and they have beautiful exhibits for each city throughout the hotel. Lots of shops, coffee bar, ice cream shop, restaurants to choose from on site. Downtown disney/lake buena vista within minutes. Very pricey-but every hotel that is of higher quality charges fees for parking/valet, and fees for certain amenities. Room was nice but bed was hard but I prefer a softer mattress. Ambiance was relaxing and there was a wonderful adult only pool and spa. Staff pleasant and professional. Worth a try!

After requesting a late check out, (12:00), we went out to breakfast and a housekeeper let herself into my room, packed my belongings and put them onto her cart and apparently decided she needed to have a bowel movement in the bathroom so that when I returned from breakfast at 10:10 am the room smelled horrible of feces. She most certainly left the door open while she used the toilet for the entire room to smell so bad. It should have been clear that someone was returning to that room. There was a toothbrush and tube of toothpaste laying on the counter in the bathroom and clothing laying out on the bed. To add insult to injury, I was told at checkout that my bill would be "taken care of", but only the resort fees and parking were refunded. Sorry but that doesn't even come close to rectifying the situation. I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasion previously for business and pleasure and the quality that initially existed seems to have taken a deep dive. The atrium is still beautiful and the outside of the hotel impressive, but the rooms are not even close to being worth the price and the quality of staff and service are approaching desperation.

Just stayed at the Gaylord during break (6-10) with my 8 year old daughter and this resort is amazing> I say resort because the vast size of this place is hard to describe. Service was perfect, room was awesome (ask for upgrade to Atruim room b/c they easily gave me one even though they were busy), pool area was just right for kids, good food/snack/shopping choices. The atrium is spectacular....I would say the only drawback: hold onto your wallet b/c its super expensive. Quick lunch poolside was 35$ easily for two of us (burgers and fries). Beers are 7$ poolside, martini's are 13.50 with tax....ouch. Worth every penny...can't wait to go there again during off season.

The hotel was wonderful for one thing: location. (However, this was because I was attending a convention on site.) I had requested a king room but upon arrival was switched to a 2-Queen room, no biggie. The hotel staff was very nice overall. When I got to my room, there was a Trident gum wrapper on the floor in front of the TV . . . something I would've thought would be noticed on a final inspection of the room. The room itself, and the bathroom were well worn. There was a chair/ottoman in one corner but where a small workspace had been, there was nothing. This hotel charges a "resort" fee, even though I was attending a conference and not using many of the "resort" facilities. For the price, plus resort fees, I felt I could have stayed somewhere less expensive, paid the on-site parking fee, and been more comfortable. For the price, and, considering the reputation of this hotel group, it didn't meet my expectations.
