"Liked the Hotel."Reviewed by Mack of "Ajax, Ontario" on Jan 29, 2012
No complaints about the Hotel or Staff. There is a nice 24 hr Deli across the road. Room was about what I expected for the price. The imediate neighborhood was a bit dirty but I felt safe enough. I wouldn't recomend it for families with young kids. I would stay there again. It's a bit old school but that was kid of cool too. I do Love NY.
"Pleasant Stay"Reviewed by Augustus of "Sint Maarten" on Jan 29, 2012
The Hotel was not the best I have stayed at but it was quite I will say the Staff made the stay an enjoyable one. I will return for sure and will recommend others.

Let the West Coast have Hollywood; Broadway’s lights are just as bright, and many screen actors come to the Great White Way to gain acting credibility. Area attractions include Carnegie Hall, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and the Museum of Modern Art. Resplendent St. Patrick’s Cathedral takes up a block at Fifth and 50th. Once seedy, Times Square now hosts ABC, MTV, and NASDAQ.

"Tiny, tiny, tiny"
I have stayed in a lot of NY hotels and even by those standards, the room is tiny! Not even a regular size double bed - I'm only 5'7" (170cm) and my feet hung over the end!!!
"Wonderful Stay in July of 2011"
We stayed in this hotel from July 18 to the 23rd. and we would definately stay here again upon returning to New York city. The room was quiet, cozy and just very comfortable. The staff were more than friendly and even called right away since we had forgotten our passports in the room's safe. I would give this hotel a 5 out of 5 and the restaurant downstairs […] called db french cuisine was absolutely fantastic and not too expensive either.... all in all we would highly recommend Cityclub hotel for your vacation jaunt in New York city.... "Club City Hotel - Only request is for better beds"
Great hotel, great staff, perfect location, beautiful rooms/bathrooms...only problem were the terrible beds that they try to hide with cheap featherbed covers.
"CITY CLUB HOTEL, NEW YORK"
We enjoyed our week in this hotel, albeit we weren't there very much other than to sleep. We received an upgrade to king size bed after only booking a double bed as that was all that was available. That was a nice start to our stay. The hotel staff were alway welcoming on our return and the warm chocolate chip cookie with the bed turn down service was […] always appreciated. The rooms were a bit on the small side, but the location was excellent to start exploring New York. We love our coffee so the Gregorys coffee across the road was always welcome for breakfast. Probably the best coffee we had in New York. For position and price, I don't think you can beat it. Read more
"City Club Hotel"
A warm and friendly, quiet, intimate hotel. Easy walking distance to Times Square and overall very central location.
"Perfect location"
Perfect location for a night away. Excellent rate, friendly staff.
"City Club Hotel"
Great location; petite rooms were very small. Almost uncomfortably small. Other than that, the hotel is very nice, staff is good and helpful.
"City Club Hotel in NYC - perfect location"
The City Club Hotel in NYC is in the perfect location which makes it easy to get to 5th Avenue or ATime Square. Great hotel, friendly staff and very clean.
"City Club Hotel - Great loacation, great comfort!"
After a bad experience with another hotel the City Club was a fantastic experience. The location is fantastic - only two short blocks from Times Square and three to Grand Central Station. The room was very comfortable and quiet! The turndown service and cookies were welcome after a late night on the town!
"Personal and Professional"
Great team running this hotel . It shows from the time you enter the lobby. Rooms are done up to the highest standards.

"The City Club Hotel - a gem in midtown NYC"
I have stayed at the City Club Hotel numerous times when visiting NYC and have always enjoyed my stay there. It is located near to the theatre district , shopping on Fifth and Sixth Avenues and to many restaurants. Scrupulously clean and well maintained, the rooms and public areas are decorated in a modern, yet cozy manner. The staff is unfailingly […] friendly and professional. I love this hotel! I lived in NYC for 30 years before moving away a few years ago. Cannot recommend this hotel more highly. Read more

"Best New York Stay"
The City Club is so well situated midtown and has excellent facilities and service. I highly recommend this hotel as a place of stay. There is also the the Bistro Moderne within the hotel and great places to eat and drink nearby and it is also close to subways. Thank you to the great staff!

"City Club Hotel Great Location- Room not so nice"
Upon arriving I was greeted by a friendly staff, but when I got in my room, I pulled back the sheets and there were hairs in my bed. Then when I took a shower the knob fell off and I had to play handyman to get the water to turn off. And to make it worse, both windows faced bricked walls. I visit NY several times a month and visit a different boutique […] style hotel with each trip...I was not impressed with this hotel. Read more

"LOVE THIS HOTEL!"
Service, style and affordable.
"The City Club Hotel is FABULOUS!"
The service was second to none. Hotel is a quick walk to Fifth Avenue shopping and to Times Square. Our room was a little small but very well appointed and arranged to maximize the space. If you a looking for a large commercial hotel...this isn't it. This is the perfect boutique hotel. Very elegant...there was nothing that could have made our stay any […] better. I will stay there again. Read more

"Good Choice"
Great location, with a very nice room, and the staff was very helpful and nice.
"Great location and staff!"
Very close to Times Square. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Small room but comfortable. Bathroom was nice, but a little dirty/dusty around the edges of the floor. Great complimentary chocolate chips cookies every night!

"City Club Hotel New York"
Great place to stay, hotel receptionists very helpful, clean, location between 5 th and 6th Avenue. Will go back next time
"Fantastic Boutique Hotel"
First the negatives...my petite room was, in fact, quite petite. And the "courtyard" facing window was more accurately an "airshaft" facing window. But, I think it's a credit to this hotel that I think this it was a 5 out of 5, excellent experience. The room was very nicely decorated and maintained. The bed was small but extremely comfortable. The staff […] could not have been friendlier. I frequently travel into the city via Grand Central, and I know that I'll be back to stay at this nearby hotel. Read more
"The years have not been kind"
Stayed at this hotel when it first opened its doors 12+ years ago... the years have not been kind for this establishment. Tired looking looking rooms, dated (no longer meets todays boutique design sense)

"Really Enjoyed City Club!"
The hotel is two blocks from Times Square! We stayed in the Petite room; room was small but VERY neat, modern design. Has everything you need in the small space provided. Plus chocolate chip cookies every night. Highly recommend!
This property is sandwiched between 2 very well known hotels and I've apparently been walking past it for a decade. No more. I got the smallest room and it was fine for what most of us seek in a hotel room - a comfortable bed, a clean, functional bathroom, a desk at which to work and quiet. Finally, the adjoining restaurant is excellent.
"city club nyc"
good location, friendly help. room was nice. I would not give this a four star rating though, maybe 3.5. I would stay there again for the right price
"Best quality"
Convinent and clean hotel. Will book again on my next trip
"a little mid town gem"
Always wanted to try this hotel and did last weekend. Location is very convenient to all sites and shopping. The small hotel gives a very cosy feel as you enter the lobby. The front desk person was very friendly, quick and accommodating. The room was ready, as we checked in quickly without any problems. The room was of average size for NYC but was very […] comfortable with an inviting decor. The bathroom was extra large and spacious. Very nice. Would return. Read more
"Great Location - Friendly Staff"
Nice hotel - we had a luxe double and it was pretty spacious. The day bed worked well for two kids to sleep on. There was no ice machine available, but the staff quickly brought us up a bucket of ice when requested.
"City Club Hotel-almost a 5"
great hotel and staff- 2 complaints-the chair at the desk was extremely uncomfortable for working. the rug and the furniture were soiled in lots of areas.
"City Club--terrific for a NYC weekend"
Can't beat the location, amenities were excellent, staff was delightful. Our room was upgraded without even asking.. the only complaint is that there is no electric outlet by the desk...all in all, I will return!
Nice hotel,friendly staff, good location.
City Club had several subtle touches that made the stay a pleasant one--the decor of the room and good use of space, chocolate chip cookies in the evening, nice toiletries in the bathroom. Overall we were quite pleased for what was a late booking at a very good price by midtown standards. The hotel itself has obviously aged, but it's not neglected like […] some others I've seen. My one (minor) complaint was that we left our room at about noon on one day with the 'please make up room' sign on the door. When we came back in the evening, the room had been serviced, but it was obviously a rushed job. It was to be expected, to a certain extent, I suppose. Given that we stayed a few nights and that this was the largest issue we had, we were overall quite pleased. While I don't like staying so close to Times Square, this was a great hotel visit. Would definitely recommend as a value-for-money Manhattan stay. Read more
"Pleasant surprise"
I made a last minute reservation here. Price was very good for location and quality of the hotel. The location was perfect. 2 blocks from Times Square. Subway was one to two blocks away. It's a small hotel. Room was small, but that is not a complaint. I expected it to be small when it said queen petit room. I didn't see any of the other rooms. It was […] perfect for one person. Two would be fine as well. If it wasn't a long stay. It was clean. Had everything I needed. Bed was comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Not fake nice either. I didn't eat there, but the restaurant attached and probably where room service comes from looked very nice. Read more
