"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.
"Affordable Quickie in NY"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.
""Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.

We stayed at the City Club Hotel for a weekend getaway and had a great time. Our room was comfortable, had a nice, large bathroom with a relaxing bathtub, and who doesn't love warm chocolate chip cookies delivered to your room at night! I would definitely reccommend this hotel to a friend in the future.
"I will come back to City Club"
I like the service, the location, the good taste of the hotel. All who work there are very helpful. I returned and will continue to do so.
"City Club Hotel exceeded my expectations!"
This hotel is close to all - great restaurants, Broadway, shopping, and sights.

"Be sure to request a room off the street side"
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the City Club. I liked it because it was a smaller property without all the noise in the hallways that you get at larger hotels with long hallways, slamming doors, etc. However, after being assured that noise in our front facing room would not be a problem since it was on the eighth floor, I found the street noise to be […] bothersome at night (trash trucks, honking cars and the like). I would definitely ask for a room on the back next time. The view was not much to look at anyway. The location was great! Only a short walk to Times Square! Read more

"Quality service in midtown Manhattan - VERY NICE!"
The staff at the door and on the floor were exquisite, polite and very accommodating. Very generous in manners, friendliness and spirit - the room was particularly nice and guest satisfaction seemed a priority...I would be delighted to stay here again.
"Great Midtown location"
Great location, decent rate. Teeny room (but spacious bathroom). VERY uncomfortable bed. My boyfriend commented that it felt like the mattress was filled with corncobs.

"City Club Hotel in New York"
Excellent location near Times Square and other major attraction. Very clean and spacious updated hotel room. I will definitely return.
"Friendly staff"
I was pleased with this hotel, it was perfect for my short business trip. Small but nice room. The staff were uniformly friendly.
"recommend this hotel"
very nice little hotel, especially for the price. My only complaint was lighting in bathroom was terrible. Very dark!
"Business trip in NY - great hotel"
We've styed at lot of hotels in NY, and in my opinion, this hotel was rated too low, and we were very happily surprised. It is a great location to walk to many places, has been renovated recently, the staff was great. Not one complaint at all.

"The Best"
Whenever possible this is my hotel of choice. Great staff, not noisy and rooms are clean and modern.
"Weekend In NYC"
The hotel staff was friendly, the room was very comfortable and the location was perfect.
"Comfortable Boutique Hotel"
We travel to NYC on business every couple of months. The hotel that we usually stay at was booked and we came across City Club Hotel and are so glad that we did! The staff was very friendly and helpful as well as the rooms being comfortable and beautifully appointed. Our trade show was in Times Square and we only had to walk 1. 5 blocks. In the morning […] we had breakfast at the restaurant and were met with fresh squeezed juices and a limited choice, but excellent menu. The best part is that we had the convenience of being near everything, but the intimacy of a boutique hotel out of hte hussel and bussel of it all when we wanted to decompress. --- Can't wait until our next visit! "City Club Hotel"
This small hotel combines a midtown location with a quiet ambiance. The rooms are sparkling and creatively decorated. Staff were friendly and conscientious. I recommend it highly/
"City Club in NYC"
I very much enjoyed my stay. Great convenient location if going to the theatre. Fabulous bathroom but no tub, something to think about if you want to soak your feet! bed was comfortable and room well appointed. Carpet was a bit dirty.

"Wonderful Hotel/Great Location"
Staff was professional and friendly, hotel is in a great location & the rooms are nice. The price is great for this hotel, I will stay here every time I'm in NYC.
"A Real Gem!"
A real gem of a hotel. Our Petite room was tiny, but precious! We will definitely stay there again when in NYC. Great location on 44th street right by all the best theaters. Super elegant decor, toiletries, etc. Staff was competent and friendly.
"petite room in a great location"
I recently stayed at the City Club and it was a good experience. The petite room is petite but cozy. Good for one person who wants a convenient location and no frills. The bathroom was nice, bedding was nice. It was an interior room so there was no view but that was fine. I would stay there again if traveling alone. For two people traveling together […] a larger room at City Club would be better! Read more

"Nice room but cave-like"
I chose this property for the location and the price. The room I reserved was small (I knew that upfront) and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the bathroom was spacious, and luxurious. I was delighted by the evening turn-down service and the freshly baked cookies that were placed on my nightstand, however all of this is overshadowed due to the […] fact that there was absolutely NO natural light in the room. I was placed in a small, inside room near the elevator shaft and it was a CAVE. I found it depressing and difficult to start my day. So sad. I would love to have given this property a better rating. "A GREAT place to stay for business or romance"
I loved this hotel. The room was gorgeous, quiet and a decent size (queen room) - I was so glad it did not feel like a shoebox. The bathroom/shower was beautiful too. We were happy to see the huge flatscreen tv and my boyfriend loved the complimentary cookies delivered to our room at nice. Only downside was the bed is short. I'm 5'10 and my feet hung […] off. "Mid Town New York - Great Location"
Excellent location with a very nice staff. The only comment I would make is that the bed was not very comfortable (hard bed) and you can here people walking on the hallway when you are in bed.
"LOVED IT!"

"When it says small..."
It means small. We upgraded to a queen room and it was tiny. Lovely bathrooms and staff. It's in a great location as well. Able to walk to times square and Rockefeller center. If you have 2 people to one queen room, make sure you don't have much luggage, there won't be much room for 2 people and 2 large suitcases.

"The City Club Hotel - a gem in midtown NYC"
I have stayed at the City Club Hotel numerous times when visiting NYC and have always enjoyed my stay there. It is located near to the theatre district , shopping on Fifth and Sixth Avenues and to many restaurants. Scrupulously clean and well maintained, the rooms and public areas are decorated in a modern, yet cozy manner. The staff is unfailingly […] friendly and professional. I love this hotel! I lived in NYC for 30 years before moving away a few years ago. Cannot recommend this hotel more highly. Read more

"Best New York Stay"
The City Club is so well situated midtown and has excellent facilities and service. I highly recommend this hotel as a place of stay. There is also the the Bistro Moderne within the hotel and great places to eat and drink nearby and it is also close to subways. Thank you to the great staff!

"City Club Hotel Great Location- Room not so nice"
Upon arriving I was greeted by a friendly staff, but when I got in my room, I pulled back the sheets and there were hairs in my bed. Then when I took a shower the knob fell off and I had to play handyman to get the water to turn off. And to make it worse, both windows faced bricked walls. I visit NY several times a month and visit a different boutique […] style hotel with each trip...I was not impressed with this hotel. Read more

"LOVE THIS HOTEL!"
Service, style and affordable.
"The City Club Hotel is FABULOUS!"
The service was second to none. Hotel is a quick walk to Fifth Avenue shopping and to Times Square. Our room was a little small but very well appointed and arranged to maximize the space. If you a looking for a large commercial hotel...this isn't it. This is the perfect boutique hotel. Very elegant...there was nothing that could have made our stay any […] better. I will stay there again. Read more

"Good Choice"
Great location, with a very nice room, and the staff was very helpful and nice.
"Great location and staff!"
Very close to Times Square. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Small room but comfortable. Bathroom was nice, but a little dirty/dusty around the edges of the floor. Great complimentary chocolate chips cookies every night!

"Fantastic Boutique Hotel"
First the negatives...my petite room was, in fact, quite petite. And the "courtyard" facing window was more accurately an "airshaft" facing window. But, I think it's a credit to this hotel that I think this it was a 5 out of 5, excellent experience. The room was very nicely decorated and maintained. The bed was small but extremely comfortable. The staff […] could not have been friendlier. I frequently travel into the city via Grand Central, and I know that I'll be back to stay at this nearby hotel. Read more
"The years have not been kind"
Stayed at this hotel when it first opened its doors 12+ years ago... the years have not been kind for this establishment. Tired looking looking rooms, dated (no longer meets todays boutique design sense)
