Best Western Americana Inn

THE STAFF WAS SO FRIENDLY ON ARRIVAL AND DURING OUR STAY. THE HOTEL IS CLOSE TO EVERYTHING, INCLUDING IMPERIAL BEACH, THE BORDER, COCOS AND TWO OTHER FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS. I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN. THE POOL AND JACUZZI AREA IS CLEAN, AS WELL AND WE LOVED THE NEWLY REMODELED ROOMS AND VERY COMFORTABLE BEDS. :)

...the fact they have a coffee machine plus a microwave and fridge was great n came in useful. Internet access was helpful as not an ipad owner here. The used of a foam body/hair soap was very cost and waste saving, and was noticed and enjoyed. Bed was very comfortable, and the cable tv....used....alot. All n all....id use and refer again. This is an outstanding hotel in San Ysidro. The staff is excellent. All the managers (about 200 I think) are friendly and go out of their way. The pool and Spa is great.

Everything you could need with 2 exceptions: No way to hookup a dvd player; Coffee machine hard to get to. Otherwise, great service, clean spacious room, and super comfort. Didn't get to try the free breakfasts as we are late risers. Maybe extend that to 11am???

The room was spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable; the breakfast was good and nicely presented. The only downside was the internet signal--it was intermittent and not very strong to our room so had to go the lobby to use the internet.

the room was clean and comfortable. The bed had lots of pillows. Look out of the room window and you can see the lights of TJ. Awesome.

...there were some noises, coming through the wall every 20 minutes maybe that i wasnt sure what they were but were there through the night. A series of "clicks" in the wall between the sleeping room (bed) and the bathroom sink area. It was more odd then irritating. Also, i worked out in my bare feet in the room. After, when i took a shower, in the […] tub, where my underfoot got wet from the water spray already in the tub, where ever i stepped, the water became dirty in the shape of my foot as if i carried dirt in from the rug, into the tub, from my feet. I didnt walk barefoot in the room after. The room offered a great stay for what it provides AND i'll stay again. These were just observations i made that the motel might not know about. Read more

Hotel is well placed near the US - Mexico border but be careful getting on I-5S from the hotel as you might not be able to take any exit into US. The hotel is very clean, quiet and serves the standard Best Western breakfast which includes boiled eggs, breakfast pastries and waffle.

The hotel was clean and neat and the grounds were well maintained. The breakfast was fair. It was nice to have the in-room coffee, refrigerator and microwave. The bed was very comfortable; we could have used an extra towel or 2. The plastic glasses were not replaced for the 2nd night and the one remaining was cracked and leaked.

My husband and I had to cross the border to go to a clinic and staying at this hotel made it quite easy and convenient. It was clean and everyone was very pleasant. There is a very good resturant right outside the hotel parking lot and we were happy we stayed at this hotel.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff was very helpful. Great hotel for the price. Not the best location unless you want to be near the border. Its close to Imperial beach which was nice but I'm more of a party person so I found Imperial beach to be boring. Overall nice hotel.

Stayed one night at hotel because of a concert we were going to at the Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre. I didn't know the area so wanted to stay close to venue.
