Check in was easy, desk staff person was very helpful. Checkout again was very easy with very friendly desk person. The room was clean and comfortable. All in all, I was very satisfied, thank you.

Was pleasantly by the cleanliness if the hotel and the location. They are very accommodating, loved that they had laptops that you could use in their lounge and there were snacks throughout the day that you could have all complimentary. Will definitely stay there again. I parked my car in their garage and didn't need it till I left.

Location.
Conveniently near the airport in Ottawa, Southway Hotel & Conference Centre is close to Brewer Park. Additional area attractions include Parliament Hill and National Gallery of Canada.
Hotel Features.
Southway Hotel & Conference Centre has a health club, an indoor pool, and a spa tub. This 3-star hotel features business amenities including a 24-hour business center, secretarial services, and audio-visual equipment. Dining options at this Ottawa hotel include a restaurant, a coffee shop/café, and a bar/lounge. Guests are served a complimentary breakfast each morning. The staff can arrange concierge services, tour/ticket assistance, and wedding services. Additional amenities at this Victorian property include a sauna, multilingual staff, and gift shops/newsstands. Guests have complimentary access to a roundtrip airport shuttle during limited hours. Self parking is complimentary. "Outdated, heavy poor food"
Daughter and I stayed one night before catching an early flight out. Cons: extremely outdated decor (from the 1980s?); only one computer in business center; slow clanky elevator; average to smallish room size. The worst was the restaurant menu: heavy, rich, over-priced, outdated food that gave us indigestion almost immediately. Not the light, fresh […] fare we were looking for prior to a long flight. Neighborhood is very definitely "mixed": felt very insecure driving down the street to the Wal-Mart to pick up breakfast for the next day ("free" continental breakfast not available before 6:30 a.m.) Pros: comfy beds, clean bathroom, 10 minutes from airport. Comfortable and relaxing. Good shopping in the area before heading north again. Enjoyed the pool and spa to relax at the end of the day.
