Room was large, but lighting terrible.-very dim wall sconces or blinding spot light next to bed. Th fan in the bath came on with the light and ran for about 15 min -terribly noisy and was in need or oil or replacement.Tacky 80's decor. We enjoyed our stay for the most part. The room was nice, minus the mold and soap scum all over the shower. The pillows were awful too, but other than those two thing the hotel is great. Tram stop right outside the Hotel and the service was good.

Due to a reservation error on my part, there was a surprise for the owner when we showed up with an additional person. As it was Oktoberfest and the rest of the city (this hotel included) we're full up she very kindly rearranged other residents so we could have a room that fit all of us. The interior of the room(s) was a bit outdated, but our family suite with 2 bedrooms was clean and spacious for a family of 4. The price was very reasonable for that location. The staff is child friendly and they even gave us the breakfast (which was not included at time of booking) for free, supposedly becausde the showers had been cold that morning […] (...we didn't notice anything wrong with the water temperature). We thought we were staying closer to the city center. Hotel is on tram line 13 so once we figured out the trams, we were happy with the location. Parking was free on the street and not a problem. A real jewel in the rough! The neighborhood appeared a little run down, but we always felt safe. On street parking around the corner worked out well. Enjoyed the stay here. The room was a little small for two people;however, the bathroom was unusually large. My only real complaint was that the no-smoking room opened onto a courtyard where people smoked, thus it was a smoking room.

The hotel is clean and nice and reasonably priced for Dresden. It is easy to get to the freeway and the airport. Eat in Neustadt instead of going to Zentrum and experience a real Dresden neighborhood.

Very nice hotel located in an old beautiful building. It has everything one needs - the place is calm, the hotel is clean, the stuff friendly. And a welcome drink in a bar! The only thing that slightly falls behind is the location - but you can take the streetcar to take you downtown, Dresden is not to large. But it is a nice city worth visiting.

Not in the very centre but with easy access to the centre by reliable public transport - 15-15 minutes. Surroundings not very welcoming but the place looks and feels safe. Having worked out how the trams were from the hotel it was soon easy to get in and out of the city and therefore convenient for it to be further out. The hotel found it difficult to get me a bowl of soup at 5pm on one day although the Bar/Restaurant is supposed to be open from 12 til 1am. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay very much. On arrival the flower tubs at the doorway only had earth and weeds in them. Bad mark. Our room was very nice, but our friends room was sub standard - no bedside lights or tables so they had to get out of bed to switch off the lights after reading. Very good value for money, but it is NOT in the "Zentrum" at all. The public transports are reasonably convenient, anyway consider that most of the turist attractions of Dresden are in the opposite side of the city (Altstadt). A wi-fi connecton was available but it didn't work with my wi-fi device. For all the rest it's defintely a good hotel.

A good basic hotel - cheap on Expedia and was on direct tram line fairly close to the old centre. In Neustadt which is more young and trendy area with a lot going on around Louise Strasse - lots of restaurants, bars. as others have stated, it is about 30 minutes for the Altstadt by foot, or quicker by train. I heard very little street noise even though my room faced the street. The staff at the front desk were very friendly. The only word of caution I would offer is that if you are not one to eat a big breakfast, you would likely be better off having breakfast elsewhere, […] as they charge you a healthy rate for breakfast. Außerdem werden sehr billige Steppbetten (oder was auch immer das sein soll) benutzt.
