Nice hotel, clean and updated room, nice bathroom and hot shower. Everything was clean and well maintained. The only issue we had was that the sound proofing from room to room was poor. You could hear your neighbors talking and hear the shower like it was yours. Not bad for the price and value.

Older Motel. Complimentary breakfast consisted of cold cereal in the corner of the office. No place to sit. Room was very small. Thought it was very expensive for condition of motel. We stayed in much nicer Hotels on our trip for much less. It was ok because we didn't do anything more than sleep there.

The hotel was dirty from top to bottom. Our room had a plywood ceiling with holes where water had dripped from the roof. The windows did not open, but good for us as our view was of dirt that was window high that led to the rear of the rooms of the Inn. There were bleach stains on the carpet and the wheels continually fell of the only chair in the room. […] The drapes in the breakfast area were filthy from dropped juice and coffee. The room was fairly clean, unfortunately the leaking shower and toilet in room 1 were a huge turn off. It is conveniently located so that the aquarium is close, but carmel is only a fifteen minute drive. The hotel was not bad, just very average.

We were assigned room 5. My daughter inspected this room before we unloaded our suitcases. My daughter said don't go into this room because it smells like mold. My daughter went to your desk, and then were assigned room 7. It was okay, however the room did not have bedside reading lamps.

This is a skanky bottom-end motel in a very convenient, nice location. Went to Monterey for a wedding and was pleased with my room. Didn't have a rental car so I walked to near by places to eat or view. Shopping mall complex near by, Denny's , Jack in the Box also within walking distance. Walked to Fishermans Wharf but had to walk uphill on return. Hotel is also on the bus line but hotel did not offer any schedule. 1 vending […] Coke machine & an ice machine. If we had the choice of staying here again, we would. Room were very neat and clean. If we needed extra towels, we just asked and got them. Kids had a great time in the heated pool. Great location too!! We stayed for 4 nights and had no issues.

Room was okay for sleeping. The air conditioner is really close to one bed and the sink was close to the other. The shower we had in room 4 was just a stall with no bath tub. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast is toast and cereal with orange juice, apple juice, and coffee.

I booked it through Hotel.com with better deal than the other travel booking websites offered (same price but came with free breakfast while the others didn't). The room has nice granite counter top for the sink and granite tiled bathroom that makes it looks clean and nice. It also has flat TV and refrigiator. It worths the money.

This hotel was very good for the price. It was clean, close to fisherman's wharf and cannery row. Also close to a Starbucks and other chain restaurants. The bed was a little hard, but maybe I'm just used to my pillow top mattress at home. We got "upgraded" for free but I wouldn't call it much of an upgrade. Even for the cost of this hotel, which is cheap, it is a let down. Do not let the other reviews lead you to believe this is an ok place... it is totally rundown, and should probably be torn down rather than fixed up. The rooms are not that clean and the walls are paper thin. If there is a baby crying within two rooms of your room, you will hear it all […] night. The biggest let down is that the images of the room they provide online are of a room you cannot even reserve. The room with tub in the living space is not available to reserve online and it is an additional $60/night on the posted rate. I felt bad for all the foreigners i saw staying there. There impression of Monterey (a beautiful place) was tarnished by the gritty dirty hotel they were trying to save a few bucks on. Read more

I had paid in advance for a "garden side" 2 queen room. What I got was a view of a cinder block wall under a noisy portico under the entrance to the hotel with lots of foot traffic going by my door at all hours. I discovered when I woke up in the morning that my sheets had sand on them. I had not been to the beach and had done nothing to put sand in […] the bed myself. I had not worn shoes in to the bed for example. So although because of the location there was a lot of sand around (which I understand and am not complaining about) this really wasn't acceptable and made me feel that perhaps I hadn't been given clean sheets upon arrival. Lastly, without previous warning a hold of $150 was put on my credit card even though I had prepaid my entire stay. I was promised that it would be removed right away but this did not happen during my stay. In general the staff was very friendly but this does not make up for the shortcomings that I experienced. The staff were extremely pleasant and expedient. The other reviews about the plumbing are true...it is very loud, but overall I had a pleasant stay. The room was clean, the linens were nicely laundered and it was an extremely convenient location. I will definitely rent a room here again.

Rooms are OK, First nite didn't sleep cause there was a "critter" in the walls right by our heads. Next day they did change our room. No critters but toilet moved everytime you sat down. Breakfast room can only seat 4 people, which is fine since breakfast was coffe, spoiled OJ and toast.. Would not stay again!!

Surprisingly decent hotel considering the low price I paid for it. The room was pretty good and modern looking. Bring earplugs if a little noise from water pipes next door bother you. As a budget-conscious traveler, I would stay there again.

Very unhappy with Hotel, when checked in started checking us in, and then clerk answered phone and started helping that person and made us wait, then while still on phone pointed to different things she wanted us to sign, handed me the key and did not say a word. When entered room found we only had one small bottle of shampoo so had to go back to desk, […] we were rudely giving 2 more bottles. That nite started takening showers, 2 of us that nite, and in the morning the other 2 took showers, the last person did not have a bath towel, so again back to the front desk AGAIN, where no one was there, I ran the bell 3 times waited and waited and no one came, other person came and she could not get anyone to reply either, so the last person had to take a shower and use alittle hand towel to dry off with. And there is not one other mirror in the room ,so you had to wait to use the bathroom one, never been to Hotel or Motel that did not have a mirror in the room. would not return to this place again. We had made reservations so they should have known there were 4 guest as that is what we stated, so room should have been ready for 4 guests. Read more
