We just spent one night in transit but found the hotel to be just what we wanted and more. It's a 2-minute walk into the Casco Historico of Malaga which is lovely. Pretty good hotel. Location is good. Walking distance to downtown and to El Courte Ingles. Breakfast is perfect. Soundproof of the windows can be better as well as to corridor. Nothing to complain in general... Only about artificial smell hiding the smell of old house.

I cannot say anything bad about this hotel. The staff was courteous, helpful, and professional. The room was large with a lovely view over the cathedral and to the mountains, and it was absolutely spotless. Malaga Centro is a perfect place to visit the old town. The market was one of the most fun we found in all of Spain, with almonds, fruit, and the best sun dried tomatoes free for the tasting. And for a morning treat, join the locals at Casa Aranda for coffee, chocolate and churro. Sinfully delicious, and the staff will even invite you into the kitchen to see how they're made ! The hotel is a short walking distance to the historic quarter. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and it was all that you needed. Very nicely appointed hotel with nice furnishings in the spacious rooms. Within walking distance from the City Center. Had to leave early in the morning but they prepared sandwiches and fruit to take with us. Scenic rooftop terrace with a bar, lounging area and small swimming pool. Will definitely return.

Malaga Centro Hotel is located within a five minute walk from the old section of Malaga; a wonderful place containing numerous restaurants, major sights and great ambiance. We were able to walk everywhere, including to the train and bus stations so we could travel to nearby towns along the coast. Service is good and the girls at the desk were extremely helpful when we asked for directions on how to get to various places. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of food options. The pool area on the 6th floor is small, but very adequate and comfortable to "chill out" after a day of sightseeing. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are interested in seeing the old section of Malaga as well as touring around some of the coastal towns. The price is very reasonable also. Read more

While this hotel is not on the beach as advertised it is nonetheless immaculate, friendly staff and very close to central Malaga. If you can get a good price for breakfast with the room that would be the way to go otherwise it will cost you 12 euro s more

My famiy recently stayed in this hotel for a night. This hotel is in a good location for visiting Malaga and is very close to the old section. The hotel is on a two way street so it is easily accessible, plus there is a parking garage close by, around the block. This property was fairly new and modern, with good to decent amenities. Also the front desk […] staff was very helpful. The top floor terrace and bar had great views of the ocean and the city. The pool and gym are small though. The bathrooms were spacious, however my morning shower was tepid in temerature while my roomates was hot-don't know why. The shower for my wife and daughtesr was not very hot and when she complained the front desk gave us free breakfast. I would definately recommend this hotel and it is in a great location for touring around Malaga city. Finally the hotel was any easy 15 to 20 minute drive from the airport--FYI--if you are americian and driving a rent a car in the south of spain or in any part of europe for that matter, I strongly recommend paying extra for the GPS. I booked my stay at this hotel months in advance, along with four other couples. On my reservation I had a king bed, non smoking room. I had looked at the pictures and the rooms were new and modern looking. When i checked in, the bed was a queen, the whole floor was so smoky it was like i walked into a bar, and i could not even fit out luggage in the […] room it was so small. i had to put it in the bathroom. I went and complained along with the other couples that were with us. They said sorry but all of their other rooms on the non smoking floors were booked except for one. They upgraded me that room at no charge for the first night and 15 euros extra for the following two nights.(SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN CHARGED AT ALL). This was the room i was seeing in the pictures, very nice. Spacious, Modern, smoke free, king bed and clean, beautiful hard wood floors and large closets. Only problem was that the air conditioner did not work, so at midnight they came to check on it and the filter was so dirty it was nasty. They cleaned the filter and put it back in and it worked slightly better after that. The following questions were answered about the BIGGER MUCH NICER ROOM THAT I WAS EVENTUALLY PUT INTO. Read more

comfortable room, good location, 5 minutes walk from cathedral, restrants etc. No tea/coffee making facilities and breakfast varied but cooked food warm, not hot ( although we were first down for breakfast) Overall would stay again on-route but would probably eat elswhere if i had time
