Just drove in for a weekend getaway. Nice hotel, great staff, and the breakfast was awesome. The pool area is very nice. The room was very nice, but the bed was pretty firm, so if you like a soft mattress, you may need to bring something for that.

The coffee maker was broken. The mattress had a sway in the middle. In addition the bottom sheet was not a fitted sheet and pulled free from the mattress. There was chipped paint on the bathroom wall and the tub drained extremely slowly, causing me to shower in several inches if water. In general the room looked worn and in need of an update. The staff was friendly; room service was prompt and the food was good but no bottle opener was provided for the beer that was not twist off.

I travel to Ft. Myers 5 nights a month for business. I have stayed at this hotel four times. The facility is poorly maintained. Door locks frequently have to be changed or batteries replaced to open room doors. The exercise room has been under repair for ceiling leaks two of the times I have been here. This trip they decided to paint doors and door jambs on Saturday afternoon. Room cleaning was poor with variable stocking of towels, soap/shampoo, etc. and happened variably between 10am and 4pm during this stay. The computers in the "Business Center" allow access for printing boarding passes but not to AOL to check e-mail. The beds are "adjustable" but consistently uncomfortable.

Nice Hotel. Room wasn't ready when we arrived, AGM said she would call us when it was ready- never called. Pool isn't heated. Not much around without driving. And was woken up by alarms in the night because of the dryers.... With no offer of a complimentary breakfast,etc. for the inconvenience, etc.

Ended up in Ft. Myers on our vacation. Looked up hotels in the area on Hotels.com and found a good deal at this location. The Good Stuff: The room was a mini-suite (a big plus in my book), and in great condition. The hotel's overall condition was in good shape, and the staff was pretty nice overall. The Not-So-Good stuff: The biggest turn-off was the carpeting, (at least on the 3rd floor where our room was). The carpet looked very dirty overall and had several stains of "who knows what" on it in various places. The pool also had something "unidentifiable" laying at the bottom of it, (didn't want to get too close to find out). Also, the ice machine was out of order on our floor so you had to go down to the 2nd floor to use that one which was kind of an inconvenience. Intangibles (both good and bad): The hotel staff offered free cookies (at the check-in desk). That was a nice touch. Breakfast would have been a big plus... They took the time and effort to point out the nice little restaurant/bar they had adjoining the main lobby, but did not offer any kind of free (or even discounted) breakfast. Overall I have to say it was a positive experience, (mostly due to the great rate we got on a "name-hotel" with a mini-suite room). We didn't fly, but I guess this hotel is very close to the airport, which could be a big plus if you were flying in or out.

The hotel itself was clean and nice but a few things about our stay were frustrating. First, make sure you come in from Hwy 41... if you listen to google maps, you'll have to back track. Second, the towel rack came off the wall when I grabbed a towel off of it. Scared me, and made a slight mess on the floor from the bits & pieces of the wall on the floor. But finally the AC was the most infuriating. It was stuffy in the room when we got there, tried to drop the temp, but it wouldn't work. Tried again after dinner. Then finally after having tossing and turning because of the stuffiness, we were finally able to turn the thermostat down at 3am. But when you have to get up 5a, its sort of worthless at that point. The front desk clerk was on his 1st or 2nd day and didn't know what the deal was about the AC. When leaving for dinner, we heard another customer calling about the AC as well. Makes me think they have it on an energy saver or something. But it certainly doesn't lend itself to comfort.

We booked a room for two nights. It was ok, the beds were comfy but the room - as well as the outside corridor - had some cleaning issues. Complimentary wifi was great, no password required, but two people plus a child taking a shower need more than a very small bottle of shampoo and conditioner, and no bodywash. We had to buy it.

We stayed at this hotel on our way through Ft. Myers. We had a great experience. We stayed in a regular double bed room one of the nights and in a King Suite (the second night on the way back). The rooms were clean and well appointed and the staff was very courteous. This was our first time staying at a Garden Inn and we were impressed by the clean design and comfortable beds. We loved the warm cookies they set out in the evening.

Hotel was nice, clean and close to everything. Room keys were a MAJOR PAIN!! Would not keep door data so everytime we returned, we literally needed to have the keys reset before returning to our room. Didn't matter if we keep key cards away from cell phones and car keys they still deactivated after about 1 hr!! They really need to do something about this! We did get about $2 in change stolen from our room on the 3rd day by the cleaning staff. Haven't found anything else missing tho. Also, they REALLY NEED better bath tissue! EXTREMELY cheap and unpleasant!

I am a business traveler and have to be in Fort Myers 5 days every month. I have stayed at this Hilton Garden Inn 3 times this fall. The fire alarm has gone off three times, two of which lasted longer than ten minutes because the fire company has to turn it off. As an apparent cost saving measure they turn down the hot water temperature late at night. Consequently, if you want to shower before 6am, as I usually do because of early work commitments, you shower with lukewarm or cooler water. The door lock (electronic) work consistently poorly, sometimes due to faulty keys, other times due to discharged batteries in the lock mechanism. Regardless of the cause, when it happens, you can't quickly access your room.

Stayed for two nights and nothing very special about this hotel. I travel often so I may be difficult to impress. No WOW here , just the basics. It did seem the staff was very rushed and the hotel was noisy. However , strong water pressure in the shower! I normally stay at hotels that I can walk to a couple of resturants and / or a coffee shop. Nearest good food is a couple of miles to Rt 41. Bottom line. Nothing special.

I had a one night stay at this hotel while in town to run a half marathon in Cape Coral. The distance to the race was nice. Check in was quick and the staff was friendly. The room was large with a king size bed, couch and a desk. The chemical used to clean the room was very strong but with the air turned down, it disappeared quickly. The amenities such as Keurig, fridge and microwave are nice. Hotel noise was a little loud with echoes in the hallway but overall tolerable. The pool is heated which for swimming is great but I was hoping for freezing cold to soak my legs post race - no biggie. The $10.95 for breakfast buffet is okay but when you have Hilton offering this for free at some of their other chains.... it's hard to pay. The only thing better is made to order eggs. Overall, a great stay at Hilton.

Hot tub didn't work & very limited bar. I booked and drove across town because a hot tub was at this facility only to find out it was not functional. Was bummed out!

The staff was exceptional. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn as a last minute change of plans due to a frightening experience at our original hotel and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and safe at the Hilton. Unfortunately, the spa was under repair and the pool was a bit slimy and dirty but being it's the off season for being in the water, it did not hamper our experience.
