We were already very often in this hotel. And yet also always satisfied. This time, however, we had a room that was not as good. But we are still back rent Tivoli Tejo. And hope the next time it will get better.

We stayed for two nights at the Tivoli Oriente during our business trip to Lisbon. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful, however the room and facilities were not at a 100%. As an example during our last day there was no hot water in the bathroom. And not only in ours, our colleagues complaint that morning about the same thing. The staff said […] they would repair the system but it never happened. The internet service is provided by Swisscom (clearly a standard in almost all Europe) which is very expensive and ridiculously slow (128kbps). Even if you purchase the "Business" connection, the service does not get any better. At check-out the hotel staff had to remove it from my bill, since I only was able to connect a couple of times of the multiple attempts to connect. During our last night the headboard fell from the wall with the two pictures on its side. Pillows were very old and uncomfortable. The hotel is literally just across the street from the metro station that in one direction will take you to the airport in only 6 minutes and on the other direction to downtown in 20 including the transfer. On the other side of the hotel there is a mall and restaurants. The hotel restaurant is decent and the breakfast if it's not included in your rate, you will pay 11 Euros, which is pretty good and affordable compared to other hotels in Europe. Read more

During the warm climate, the roms air conditioning does not keep the rooms cool enough. But the hotels other features keep me out of the room and all over the place! Location is excellent 5 minutes from Airport and across the street from major Metro Train station.

Booked two rooms adjoining for our family of four. Carpets are worn, everything else nice enough. The "Hippo" casual onsite restaurant is not worth eating at other than for breakfast. Nice location to be near airport and near old Expo site and convention center, aquarium, and hug mall across street. But it is a 10 min, cab ride to downtown area and […] even further to Belem historic area. Minor issues: they charge for making coffee in the room, no hanging knobs in bathroom anywhere for robes/clothes. Note that the GYM is very inadequate for a hotel this size: only 3 aerobic machines in 1 room and a very small weight room adjoining, so in total it occupies the space of 2 hotel rooms on the 3rd floor. Hotel appeared clean, but beds are hard an uncomfortable, rooms were small and air conditioning was not great. The water was exceptionally hot in the sink and the shower so I was concerned with kids taking a shower and set the temperature for them. Location was good - near waterfront restaurants and airport. Front desk service was fine but clearly they are catering to airline crews etc. When checking out I was told to wait for airline crew checking in - despite the fact that the crew was chatting on the other side of the lobby. The baggage handler/ door people were very helpful and friendly however. We had stayed in six other hotels in Spain and Portugal on this trip and I found all of them more comfortable. We got adjoining rooms to fit our family of 4, at a very reaonable rate. Right next to train station, but trains don't go all the way to downtown and sights. Very close to airport, though - a cab can get you there in 10 minutes, for about 10-12 Euros.

The hotel is within very easy walking distance to the Oriente train station, and a short (5 euro) taxi ride to the airport, which makes the location ideal. The rooms are older and starting to show some wear, but the hotel itself is on the whole very nice. Would gladly stay here again and again.

The ocation is amazing if what you want is events and sea...It is not that close to the city old town, but a taxi will charge less than 10 dollars. I really enjoyed staying there, the breakfast was very nice and the room very acceptable. It is pretty close to the Parque das Nacoes and the Aquarium.

This is an older hotel which is really in need of some renovation. The air conditioner in my first room was broken and I had to move to another room. The air conditioner in the 2nd room wasn't much better. In my first room there was also a bad ugly water stain on the wall. The people were nice though.

Overall -- this hotel is Fantastic. Travelling with our family (2 adults, 2 kids ages 6,3) we stayed in a Suite. This hotel was in a very interesting part of Lisbon, convenient ti the airport. Our room on the 15th floor had an outstanding view. Sadly, the decor seems a little tired and the rooms are showing some wear and tear. Service was good enough. This hotel could be extraordinary with some maintenance & updating.

The hotel backs onto a busy station so the noise of the trains pulling in and out can be heard. This is a nice hotel, which is very convenient for the airport and also the Expo area. We had a family room which consisted to two linked rooms, one with a double and the second with twin beds for the children and I cannot really fault the rooms at all. We stayed one night only and did not have a chance to enjoy the pool. My only gripes regarding the hotel are that underground car park, which is so tight that probably a large proportion of visitors may suffer the odd scrape because of the ill conceived and irregular layout, is not free for residents, so do expect to budget an additional EUR 12 per day for parking, and the lack of free WIFI which would definitely have been a benefit and is becoming more prevalent in other hotels. Good position for getting on the Metro around Lisbon and close to the airport. A quiet area at New Year but l am sure it is very busy in the Summer. There is A Mall across the road, The Cafe Bar on the first floor has very good prices and a good atmosphere.

We had a great family stay. The adjoining rooms are fantastic, especially for slightly older kids who are happy to be in their own room. We were traveling from Canada via air and train. We chose Tivoli for location and internet rattings. Carpet in room was very soiled. Strong cigarette smoke entered our room in the night. Furniture very old and chipped and worn. Tub had broken and chipped tiles. Mini-bar fridge not cold. Hippopotamus Restaurant had great food. But the service was very […] slow and unfriendly. One overnight stay for Leonard Cohen concert. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Within spitting distance of required ameneties to ensure a smoooth journey to the Algarve. Would happily use the hotel again if visiting Lisbon again.

I thought the Tivoli Hotel was easy to find and located in a nice area with lots to see. etc. Shopping mall and restaurants across the street.Expo 98 waterfront area with cable cars, fountains, boardwalk, etc. The rooms were newly updated and the adjoining rooms for a family of four was an excellent layout. Hotel was 5 minutes drive to airport. Pool […] was small but warm and good for the kids. Room could have been cleaned better as we found chips and a sock on the floor from previous traveller. Walk distance to Oriente station where only 3 stops to the Airport by underground and an hour train journey to Sintra. The massive Vasco da Gama shopping centre where opens until midnight is opposite the road and Oceanarium and Ciencia Viva(science museum) are nearby. The room is clean and the staff is helpful. I had a lovely holiday in Lisbon. Location was superb, the service was mixed but Edson and Filllipa were super offering a good, helpful service at all times. We had a nice comfortable stay at this hotel. The area (EXPO 98) is very modern and nicely build. Loads of Restaurants and parks are around and a big shopping mall ( open until midnight) is just 5 minutes away. Adults and Children both will not get bored. Only thing is they advertise for free Wifi, but we have to join the GHA group to have it, and […] every day we have to pick up a new password from the front desk. The swimming pool is a bit small, looks bigger on the photos. It is not very suitable for children. The one side of the Hotel roomvie is the Sea :) and the other the Trainstation :( as its too loud. After the first stay on the trainstation side, we asked to change the room to the sea view side, which was nicely managed and agreed. The rooms are very pleasantly appointed, clean and comfortable. There is very little residual noise from the other rooms and they are well maintained. I don't know if it's standard throughout the hotel but my room had a door that provided extra noise insulation from the hallway (creating an anteroom between the main bedroom and the main door).
