Hotel room was very nice and big. Room had a mini kitchen, living room with pull-out sofa, comfy bed, nice size bathroom. Cab to arena was about $15. There was less traffic going our direction for the cab ride home, so it was easier and cheaper to get another cab. Hotel right on the bay, nice places near by.

It's a nice hotel but there isn't anything walking distance from it. If you don't have a car it's not convienent. Hotel offers a shuttle to downtown area during the week.

Not in the middle of SF attractions, but close enough, as it's only a short hop to the Bay Bridge. Great if you're traveling with a pet, as pet friendly in SF are pricey. But, beware! The hotel's information is misleading (if not fraudulent) regarding the "Pet Deposit" it says is required. When you check in, you are told the deposit's NON-REFUNDABLE. […] That's not a deposit--that's a FEE! (It's $75 for a stay of 1 to 4 days.) I'd still have stayed there, but was annoyed that I felt "scammed" .Come on, be honest, say there's a fee.. Another downside--the doors are self-closing and slam shut with a horrific bang. It's disturbing, especially late at night and early in the morning. But the good: the queen water side suite is huge and has a nice view of the marina. The kitchenette is great, and the included breakfast is sufficient--scrambled eggs, link sausages, bagels, pastries, fruits, juices, cereals, and hard boiled eggs. Stay away from the city view side, however--it's on the freeway, and would be noisy due to the heavy traffic. Also, service was terrific. If I weren't traveling with my pet, though, I wouldn't stay here. I'd opt for a place in SF, but with a pet, this is the place to stay. In sum, good value, great view if on the water side, great room/kitchenette, good location, decent breakfast, good service. Just be aware of the pet FEE, and gird for the occasional slam of doors. The waterside view was really nice! And we couldn't hear the freeway at all on that side. Location is a bit strange, though convenient off the freeway. Stayed in Oakland to avoid high San Francisco prices, Convenient location for car or rapid transit to/from S.F. Very nice, clean hotel with great location on waterfront. The staff is very pleasant, responsive and helpful. Will stay there again when in S.F. area.

Neighborhood was nice for a couple of blocks either way before you hit unpleasant industrial type areas. So if you want a hotel where you can do long walking tours this is not the best, We had a rental car and found easy access to downtown Alameda, Oakland and the freeway system. Parking at the hotel is free. Excellent free shuttle provided only on […] weekdays. We were there a week for a family gathering and heard no negatives from anyone in our group. Room was without fault. Problems began at 2:00am, when booming music began from what had appeared to be an abandoned restaurant in the parking lot. All of a sudden it was filled with around 100 loud people, all shouting to be heard over the horrid base-boom of horrible "music". Four of us stayed in a 2 BR, 2 bath suite. Very comfortable and quiet - but you need to be on the water view side. Breakfast is decent, staff very nice and helpful. You need a car to get around from here though. Will stay again as my daughter lives in Oakland and it was convenient.

Excellent hotel, a little loud with traffic on the road side, it's a $10 upgrade to get the other side, but probably worth it. Price is steep, but it generally is in Oakland. worth it because going cheaper means a drastic decrease in quality.

This is a good place. Nice people, clean and easy in and out. I would suggest not getting the freeway side of the hotel if traffic sound bother's you. It's a bit in the middle of nowhere but I'm just there to sleep.

The hotel was ok but our room was next to the guests laundry room which does not have quiet hours so we heard lots of washing machine noise. Would be nice if there were quite hours especially since the bed is against the same wall. There is a bar/restaurant next to the hotel which takes up many of the parking spaces at night. During our stay they had […] nightly bands playing loudly and lots of people partying outside where you could not open the windows without hearing this noise well into the morning - 4am! Our waterside room was a real treat, but very glad we weren't cityside facing the freeway! The hotel overall was very nice, the staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating, and there were nice touches like free breakfast, and evening socials with food and beer. The location is kind of disconnected from the rest of Oakland as they are right […] next to the port, but the hotel is like its own little community. Stayed here for business. Room and view were very nice, but do not stay in room 101. It is next to the stairs and doorway and very loud due to all of the traffic in and out. Breakfast and dinner were very nice. I would definitely stay here again, but not in room 101.

Grosse Zimmer, ideal für Familien welche nicht direkt in San Francisco übernachten wollen. Waschmaschinen, Küche, direkt am Yachthafen. Freeway Ein- und Ausfahrt gleich beim Hotel. Es lohnt sich die Wasserseite zu buchen, sparen lohnt sich nicht da die Autobahn gleich nebenan ist, auf der Wasserseite hört man überhaupt nichts. Fiquei duas noites. A 1a. num quarto que dava para uma Hwy e próximo ao sistema de refrigeração do hotel o que proporcionou muito ruído. Mudei de quarto mas o ruído da Hwy continuou. Café da manha muito bom para o padrão americano.
