Great place to stay. Right on the lake and golf course. Very nice restaurant on the property. Only problem, they tried to charge me an extra $25 for a "resort fee". They said it was instituted since our last stay and it should have appeared on the Hotels.com website. It did not. The hotel is very nice and the staff is friendly. We only stayed one night and didn't really use any the facilities. For our purposes it would've been better off to get a cheaper hotel. They did hit you up with a $12 fee when you checked out.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lake Lawn. We visited during the slow time of the year and therefore couldn't take advantage of many of the extras this place has to offer but the pool and fitness room were top notch. Especially liked the covered patio. Very much look forward to visiting this hotel again.

We enjoyed it all - do wish Capri and Lookout would have been open. We ate breakfast and dinner during our 3 day stay. food was okay - loved the bonfire. The golf course was great, as was the pool.

We enjoyed our stay and will go back. The things we were not thrilled with did not impact out stay enough to keep us from returning. The room was completely remodeled and beautiful. The resort was clean and really had everything we needed so there was no reason to leave. Which was good because we did venture out and unless you drive to Lake Geneva, […] there is nothing around but shopping and fast food. The only complaints we had were the walls are EXTREMELY thin! There was a child in the room above us and it sounded like a construction site! You could hear tv, talking, walking, everything from all surrounding rooms. Also, the service was not the best in Frontier restaurant. Friendly but not attentive. All in all, we would return when the weather is nicer to enjoy the resort a bit more. Read more

Wonderful except when I went to check out they hit me with a fee they never brought to my attention. An extra $12 per night as a "Night Stay"! Makes absolutely no sense. Very disapointed.

Our stay was perfect. We stayed in a loft room which allowed our kids to be upstairs while we had a space downstairs. Our girls were thrilled when they saw the setup. There were activities at the hotel for the kids in addition to the pool. The surrounding area was beautiful. Fitness center was awesome. No complaints. We will definitely go back.

My wife and I traveled to the Lake Geneva area for a few days during the first week of April. We went on a Monday and Tuesday, so as expected, the resort was slow and not busy at all. The room was recently renovated and was in outstanding condition. We ate at both the Frontier and Lakefront restaurants and both were very good. We enjoyed our stay. The room is comfortable with a small refrigerator and microwave. We had a very good lunch at the Frontier Restaurant. Be sure if you are there in cold weather that you ask to be in one of the buildings that connect to the pool. There is one building that is not connected.

I enjoyed the one night stay. I especially enjoyed the deep tub and ability to dim the bathroom lights. Very calming and relaxing. I was not pleased by the additional resort charge . However, I do plan to return for a much longer trip.

A perfect place for a winter getaway. You can get beautiful views from all over the property. I love all the connecting, enclosed walkways. You can go out in the elements, but you don't HAVE to. Spent 2 nights at Lakelawn Resort and we were very pleased with the value and location. Lots of dining choices on site, large indoor pool with large hot tub, nicely decorated room/bathroom, staff was very friendly (everyone smiled and said hello,even just passing in the hallways), Lake Geneva shopping only 15-20 minutes away, Only drawback was that […] the walls between rooms were VERY thin. Almost as soon as we entered our room, we could hear conversation or a TV in the next room pretty clearly. We could even hear a cough through the wall early in the morning. We enjoyed our stay quite a bit. The hotel was well kept and we had a wonderful view from our room. The room itself was nice with plenty of space. The whirlpool tub in our room was a special treat. The only complaint we had was the noise level coming from outside the room as children were regularly running up and down the upstairs hallway during the […] morning, evening, and late night (after 10p hours). We stayed there for one night skiing at alpine valley.Thats the perfect place. The room is extremely clean, the bed linens are comfortable. Bathroom is large, and we have a patio. I'll stay there for every ski getaway in alpine valley. It's just about 20 minutes driving to get there.

Lots of work went into taking what used to be an outdated resort and turning it into a quaint Lodge. It was very well done. Service in the regular restaurant and bar couldn't be better. Great to see a familiar local bartender here at Lakelawn. Keeps people coming back; the piano player is great fun. The Lookout bar; however is another story. You could […] die before the young girl servers are done sharing extremely personal stories with guests and getting in long converations instead of selling food and drink to their paying customers. A shame it was the only place around to watch the game. I think some training and more mature staff members in that bar are in order. Overall a nice stay and would come again if the price is right. The hotels recent face lift was done very well, the updates really are noticeable both in the rooms and all the many common areas. Frontier Restaurant was well priced with great service and food. Excellent health club with beautiful views that match all those throughout the hotel.

Went to Lake Lawn as a child a lot. Was crushed went it closed. Was estatic when I heard it was bought and was going to be refurbished. I have stayed there 2 years in a row. The rooms are beautiful. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating! I love the new spa!! Will be coming up in the summer of 2013.

Great resort for families. The entire staff is very friendly and everything is in walking distance and can be reached indoors via a tunnel system. The entire place is re-done. We went poor the new year and didn't leave once for 4 days. Plenty of things to do summer or winter. Bring boars or card Games and sit in one of the open areas and play with the […] family. Pool is nice, clean and well maintained. Prices are very reasonable both for room and in the restaurants. The queen room was big enough for our family of 5. We had been to Lake Lawn before, but perhaps because Hotels.com booked it this time, we had a magnificent room in the Sherwood area. The bathroom was almost as big as our bedroom. It was gorgeous and apparently recently remodeled. We had great beds and view of the lake. This was our first time visiting during the Holidays, and it was beautifully decorated, […] and driving in at night through the golf course with all the whit christmas lights, shaped like large snow flakes hanging from the trees over the entrance made lasting impression. Thought the room was really nice. A bubble tub is a nice touch. Liked that there was room service. Also like that the heat is controlled by a thermastat on the wall. And in room movies. It was a nice getaway. Want to come back in the summer and enjoy all that is offered outside.

What a beautiful rustic setting. Everyone was so nice and I loved the surroundings, with the lake, massive evergreens, and holiday decorations.
