The only negative thing is that the wireless internet service at our room was not too good - on and off connectivity. But other than that, the hotel service and room comforts was great and the price was very reasonable too, considering it was just 5 min walk from Roma termini.

Traveled by train in Italy before taking a cruise so the location near the Terminal was very convenient. Rooms are small but expected. Wireless connection was excellent. We chose this hotel based on the proximity to the main train station as we had plans to venture into Tuscany prior to boarding our ship via train. Our luggage was delayed so we spent time shopping for contingency clothing. The breakfast was OK but not great. Noise was an issue 2 of the 3 nights. Although it is a completely non-smoking facility we experienced the smell of smoke as we tried to sleep. Only a shower that is not recommended for "plus" size individuals with weak water pressure. The room was a typical European 3 star hotel room. Our last trip to Europe was 4 years ago and we had forgotten our last 3 star experience. We now know that we will never book less than a 4 star hotel in Europe. Book according to your needs. Our first time in Rome and this hotel was perfect for us. Just a short walk from Termini Station so we took the subway and buses while there. Arrived early before rooms were ready, they stored our luggage while we toured the city. We stayed in an apartment just around the corner from the hotel. The only negative was that there was a business in the […] apartment building and the ladies who worked there would stand in the hallway and smoke cigerettes. Seeing as how I am alergic to smoke, that was a problem since we were forced to wait in the smoke for the lift. The room itself was nice and large. Good sized bathroom. There was a bus stop just outside our window for even easier transportation. Breakfast was back in the hotel but it was only a 45 second walk from the apartment. There is a wonderful family owned restaurant just outside the apartment door , which we ate at twice. Very friendly owners! I would definately stay here again. We had a pleasant stay at the Hotel Piemonte. The hotel was less then 5 minute walk from the Rome Termini station. Since the hotel is very close to the Termini station, it was a good base to start all our site seeing with the 3 day travel pass which allowed unlimited travel on all modes of public transportation. Nice and close to train station especially if you are dragging lots of luggage. The breakfast was good and it had hot water for the shower. The shower stall was very small so if you are on the large side it would be impossibe to move in it otherwise it was a decent stay especially if you are just staying overnight and moving on..

I stayed only 1 night here waiting for my friend to join me so I booked it at this location. The location is excellent, only 2 blocks away from Roma Termini and Metro. Frankly, most of the big sites are around Roma Termini so it's a great location for sites and transportation. It's on the nicer side of the Termini, quiet and clean.

We were drawn to this hotel because of the convenient location and good value. In these respects the hotel exceeded our expectations. However, our stay had two negative points. First, we had two umbrellas stolen from the front desk area while checking in. The desk clerk assured us that they were likely borrowed by another patron, but we never got them […] back. Second, we had a mixed experience with service. Overall the staff was friendly, but one experience just about ruined it for us. One of the desk clerks made us feel uncomfortable just for asking for a restaurant recommendation. The employee only got more rude when we asked how much local phone calls from the hotel room cost. He gave us perhaps the nastiest scowl we had ever seen and all we could do was walk away. This is a good hotel in an area full of not-so-good hotels. Many of the hotels in the Termini Station area are 1 or 2 star properties, but this hotel was pretty good. Our room was pretty small but there was space under the window to store our bags. The wifi was free and was available in the room as well as the lobby. They do turn it off overnight but […] the only time we really wanted it and it wasn't available was early in the morning to double check our departing flight info. The breakfast was basic. They just had a couple of coffee pots out - I'm used to the coffee machines in European hotels that have a variety of choices so this was a bit disappointing. The location of the hotel is about 10-minute walking distance with 2 mid-sized luggage in hand from central station. We stayed one night before a cruise and 2 nights after the cruise. The first night we stayed in other building which is not attached to the main office. The beds were comfortable, not too soft and not too hard. The room gave 3 of us enough […] space to move around and spread our 4 mid-sized luggage on floor. In addition, the bathroom was big enough with 2 sinks and shower room was nice as well. But after coming back from our cruise, we checked in the hotel again. This time we stayed in the main building and everything was different. The room space was smaller than the room in the other building. We could not spread out our 3 mid-sized luggage. The shower room was tiny and I could not bend my body to pick up a body soap. We liked the room in the other building most. The hotel provided good enough continental breakfast for each guest. I am happy about the breakfast quality with the price I payed. The hotel is about a five-minute walk from the Termini station, which made it very convenient for train travel, the subway, and numerous bus lines. Our stay was for one night. The staff wasn't extremely friendly to us but my guess is that it was due to the fact that we were only staying one night. The breakfast was decent and the room wasn't bad. There is a minibar that we used to keep our water cold. Overall I would recommend this location.

Hotel Piemonte is located close to Termini Station, but was quiet and felt quite safe. It was within walking distance of the Borghese Gardens, the zoo, and many interesting areas. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were polite and helpful.

For someone who has lived all his adult life in North America, European hotels are a new experience. The (single) rooms are similar to the inside rooms in Cruise Ships, fully capable of causing Claustrophobia. This particular hotel was very convenient, just 5 minutes walk from the Central Railway Station. It was clean, the staff was friendly and cooperative. […] However, I spent three uncomfortable nights in a Sauna room. The heating units in washrooms are turned on in the evening and remain on all night. There is no way to control the heat. The only choice you have is to turn the AC on to counterbalance and hope the AC wins, but it always lost. The room temperature reaches 30 degrees at night and on just cannot sleep in that heat. The duty manager advised to open the window and leave it open all night so the 3rd night was a bit bearable. I was told that the problem was that my room was too small and it gets too hot. No kidding. The room was annoyingly small. Read more

Hotel Piemonte in Rome, Italy was very clean, safe and close to the train station. It was easy to find and in a very nice quiet neighborhood. There were several nice priced restaurants within walking distance too. The hotel clerks were very nice in helping with many questions we had. There was a money exchange store and atm close to the hotel too so […] we could get our euros exchanged. The main train station (the termini) was just 4 or 5 blocks. We used it to get to our ship that was sailing out of Civitavetchia on a Princess Cruise. There was also a 'hop-on, hop-off bus stop just at the end of the street the hotel is located on. It was a great way to see the city and the cost was minimal. Hotels.com was the best price I found on this hotel, plus the reviews were very helpful in making my decision too. I would highly recommend it, but just remember that the rooms are always smaller than those in the states. The free continental breakfast was a plus also at this hotel. Read more

We only stayed at the Hotel Piemont for one night prior to our cruise, but it was excellent. Very close to the train station, we easily dragged all our luggage the 3 blocks. Even though it was so close to the Termini, the neighborhood seemed nice, no worries from me at all. The staff was extremely friendly. They let us check in early as our flight arrived […] at 830am and we got to the hotel around 1030. We only had to wait a few minutes for them to clean a room. THe room was plenty big for a European room, very clean, bed was comfortable and they were prepared for the additional requests I had made when booking. Our hotel room was a bit small but we had a comfortable bed, a good AC, and a good shower. This hotel is in the perfect location. It is close to Termini Station (the train station) and the subway which is at the train station. There were a lot of restaurants in the area. Mama Angela's down the street is a great place. I chose this hotel for a 1-night stay at the beginning and 2 nights at the end of an Italy adventure with my husband and mother because it's in a great location near Termini Station. It's less than a 10-minute walk from the station, and the airport SIT shuttle (FCO) also dropped us off and picked us up from Termini. The metro in Rome is limited to 2 […] lines (A and B), but we were thrilled that we could hop on that from Termini, too. The room was clean and simple-- a double bed for me and my husband, and a single for my mom.
