"LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
This little hotel has location, location, location! It is less than 5-10 minutes walking distance to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, & Tempolo Adriano. It is about 15-20 minutes from the Coliseum, the Forum, and Vittoria Emmanuelle, around 25-30 minutes from Piazza del Popolo, and a half hour from the Vatican. Seconds away from the main artery Via Del Corso, you can’t get a better location for a more reasonable price. The front desk staff is wonderful and Tomosso in particular will not hesitate to recommend the best restaurants and tell you how to get to all the sites within Rome. He recommended fabulous restaurants and mapped out a walkable itinerary of sites daily for us. If you don’t care to walk, the hop on hop off bus is two minutes away. What really sets this hotel apart is the 5th floor outside deck with a panoramic view which is used for breakfast in the morning and a possible night cap at night. What a way to start and end a day. It was beyond gorgeous and really a delightful highlight to a memorable stay in Rome. The rooms are big enough to accommodate two easily and are clean and neat. The only difficulty I encountered was that I was unable to connect to Wi-Fi but instead used the downstairs computer. Some of the rooms on the upper floors are only accessible by a short stairway which is difficult with heavy luggage. Other than that, our stay was perfect and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Excellent, convenience to airport was essential.

We did not get information that payment by card was not accepted. The breakfast was poor, bread from yesterday, cerials too sweet. The juice was more like lemonade than fruit-juice.
"Would stay there again"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Had a great experience. Our triple room was clean and bed very comfortable, including pillows. 40 inch hd tv with all the sky channels with the options to switch to English language. Filled a form with time and choices for breakfast . Arrived on time and plenty of food. ( Italian style breakfast) . Front desk nice and helpful. Near American embassy, hard rock cafe' , villa borghese park( very nice!) . Would stay there again and reccomand it to friends and family

Room was so small that we could barely walk around the bed and there were no drawers in which to put clothes. The buffet breakfast, however, was outstanding and the location very convenient. Front desk staff could be friendlier. The room was much smaller than the photo for that level of accommodation

Rome’s central train station, Termini is the entry point to the city from Fiumicino Airport, and is an impressive modern architectural sight. Between here and glamorous Via Veneto, there are several interesting places to visit. The Palazzo Barberini is a superb baroque palace, the Terme di Diocleziano was the city’s largest bath complex and the Church of Santa Maria della Concezione is remarkable for its Capuchin monks’ crypt.

"Hotel Piemonte-close to train station"
This hotel was very good if you intend to use the trains or bus or metro. The use of the computers for free in the lobby was very helpful. Not a very fancy hotel but very clean and I would use again as cost was reasonable.
"This hotel was convenient and quiet"
Hotel Piemonte is located close to Termini Station, but was quiet and felt quite safe. It was within walking distance of the Borghese Gardens, the zoo, and many interesting areas. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were polite and helpful.
"Piemont-central location"
Good location blocks from the main train station. Clean, comfortable, decent neighborhood. Only negative was the shower was so small my shoulders touched both sides simultaneously.
"Good Value"
The location of the hotel is very good near Roma termini ,the room is clean and comfortable, the neighborhood is ok but very noisy. Breakfast is adequate nothing special . I will stay in this hotel again and will recommend with friends and family.
"Convenient but not comfortable"
For someone who has lived all his adult life in North America, European hotels are a new experience. The (single) rooms are similar to the inside rooms in Cruise Ships, fully capable of causing Claustrophobia. This particular hotel was very convenient, just 5 minutes walk from the Central Railway Station. It was clean, the staff was friendly and cooperative. […] However, I spent three uncomfortable nights in a Sauna room. The heating units in washrooms are turned on in the evening and remain on all night. There is no way to control the heat. The only choice you have is to turn the AC on to counterbalance and hope the AC wins, but it always lost. The room temperature reaches 30 degrees at night and on just cannot sleep in that heat. The duty manager advised to open the window and leave it open all night so the 3rd night was a bit bearable. I was told that the problem was that my room was too small and it gets too hot. No kidding. The room was annoyingly small. Read more

very nice stay.
"Piemonte Hotel clean, safe, close to train station"
Hotel Piemonte in Rome, Italy was very clean, safe and close to the train station. It was easy to find and in a very nice quiet neighborhood. There were several nice priced restaurants within walking distance too. The hotel clerks were very nice in helping with many questions we had. There was a money exchange store and atm close to the hotel too so […] we could get our euros exchanged. The main train station (the termini) was just 4 or 5 blocks. We used it to get to our ship that was sailing out of Civitavetchia on a Princess Cruise. There was also a 'hop-on, hop-off bus stop just at the end of the street the hotel is located on. It was a great way to see the city and the cost was minimal. Hotels.com was the best price I found on this hotel, plus the reviews were very helpful in making my decision too. I would highly recommend it, but just remember that the rooms are always smaller than those in the states. The free continental breakfast was a plus also at this hotel. Read more
"Perfect pre cruise stop!"
The location about half way between the rail road station and the harbor make this the perfect stop for a pre cruise night in Civitavecchia! It also is located well to explore this harbor town that is worth an extra day befor you start your cruise.
"A good location if you travel by train"
Nice hotel in a great location if you travel by train. The rooms are nice and clean The hotel would have received a great review if it were not for the air conditioner that was not cold enough for our taste and reception staff that was minimalistic. Nothing bad about what they did - just that they did not take any effort to provide for special requests, […] such as a bit of early check-in or a colder air conditioner. Read more
"Excellent hotel for the price."
Excellent hotel for the price. Clean, comfortable and located conveniently close to the Termini Rail Station. Many restaurants close by. Service at the hotel was very good -- the hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating.
"Hotel Piemonte, Rome - Convenient and Pleasant"
This was a comfortable and convenient hotel for two nights in Rome at the end of our trip. The staff was very helpful and responded quickly when there was an issue with the air conditioning in one of the rooms. Breakfast was pleasant and with sufficient variety. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others. It is extremely convenient to the main train […] station and the neighborhood is full of tourist hotels but is still residential. We found good dining within a 10-15 minute walk. Nearby restaurants were okay but more tourist oriented. Read more
"Great location"
The hotel was cozy. Located very close to Roma Termini. Also two blocks away is a express shuttle stop that takes you to the airport in 40 minutes for 6 Euro per person. The stuff is polite and helpful. The breakfast is satisfying, includes bakery, deli and cheese, fruit, yogurt and cereal. We liked our stay. The street are little loud but that's how […] Italian cities are. The people love to honk their horns and scream in the middle of the night. Read more

"Hotel Piemonte - close to metro for all areas"
Easy walk to Terminal / Metro to get to all areas in Rome. Free internet, hot showers, good variety at breakfast, great coffee! A comfortable stay while sightseeing Rome.
"Piemonte Hotel"
I was expecting a larger room. It was 6 x10 (literally) and the bed was a brick with no A/C. The hotel didn't have A/C. If you are looking for a very budget room, this is it. It's 2 blocks from the metro and was clean, but tooo small and with May temperatures A/C would have been nice. If you are visiting in the next 4 months, choose something else, […] the bldg next to this one is having construction done and they woke me up ast 6:30 when the power tools started. Read more
"Good option"
Great location in Rome. If you like to walk, in about ten miles round trip you will see almost everything! If you don't, the main train station is very close, convenient for arriving from the airport (take the train direct to the city from the airport). Only bad thing we experienced was the food in the morning. One morning, the milk went bad, and so […] did our health, just be cautious (for the Americans not used to European breakfasts). Other than that, the location and quality of the hotel were enough to go back, and recommend. If you stay in Rome, and you stay on the weekend, visit the forum and colosseum on Sunday, it's free! "Excellent but no wifi service working.,"
the hotel was excellent, specially the rooms located in the other building, the only issue is that I cant connect to wifi, when I asked, they said that building doesnt working well.. "Close to bus station, Great Breakfast, Safe"
Someone is always at the front desk watching who comes in, which made me feel safe since the neighborhood had a lot of graffiti we didn’t know what to expect. But after sightseeing in Rome for a few days we realized graffiti is everywhere. The Breakfast was great, and the breakfast area was very clean. The bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom […] were clean. We visited over Christmas break, so it was great to come to the hotel late at night and be warm and comfortable. The shower was so tiny it was difficult to wash my feet! But the price was right, so I would stay there again! Also-there was a shuttle bus one can catch right around the corner from the hotel that goes directly to the airport. Read more

"Hotel Piemonte is the BEST...."
I love Hotel Piemonte! I came to them a total wreck...jetlagged, got lost in the pouring rain and they were so gentle and kind. My room was perfect, just what I needed. I also got there on one of Italy's major holidays but they knew of places to eat that were open and there's a little restaurant down the street that was the best, soup, pizza and a few […] glasses of wine and all was set right again. The staff at Piemonte was very helpful and kind I would absolutely stay there again! Read more
"Close to the Train station but quiet!"
I stayed here because it was close to the train station. It was great. The service was great and the location was so nice. The internet was down while I was there but it was nice not being in contact.
"Grand Hotel - 2 blocks from central train station"
Convenient for folks embarking on a cruise in Copenhagen. Short, inexpensive train ride from airport; city bus stop 1 block from hotel. 2 elevators. Hotel room was ok. It was quiet, roomy and had enough space for 2 open suitcases. The hallway to our room was 4 steps lower than the main hallway. The stairway was narrow, making it difficult to get through […] with luggage. However, most of the rooms are on the main hallway. Friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet. Would stay there again. "The Piemonte Hotel in Rome"
The hotel concierge was polite and helpful. The room was small but very clean and with a private bathroom. The bed a little hard but standard for beds in Italy. The breakfast was simple but enjoyable. Only the lady serving breakfast was a little impatience and rude. The hotel location was very convenient.

"Clean hotel"
Basic hotel in Rome very close to termini station, breakfast buffet was really good. Very clean hotel, with free internet and use of computers.
"Awful"
The reception is very nice. Rooms are awful. We had to sleep on top of the covers wrapped in our clothing in fear of getting attacked by hairballs in the night. Bed was hard as rock. A frightening experience. They need to clean the rooms a lot better than that. Continental breakfast was not super, but edible.
"Very convenient for Roma Termini station"
We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the train station, and it was perfect for that. It was very comfortable and clean and the service was good. Having breakfast included was a good idea when we had to be ready to head to the airport the next day. It is also very close to several restaurants. We were returning from Positano by train and leaving […] for the airport the next morning, so it was perfect for our needs. The rest of our time in Rome, we stayed in a more central location, which was better for sightseeing. Read more
"Good hotel, great location"
We stayed at the Hotel Piemonte for the first two nights of our honeymoon in Italy (6/29 & 7/1). The hotel is nice, very clean, but the room was T-I-N-Y (and I mean really tiny). The staff was courteous, but more business-like than friendly. Great location, just a few blocks from Roma Stazione Terminale. Kind of seedy area in the immediate terminal […] vicinity, but you expect that around train stations (well, we do, coming from NYC). Still, lots of shops & restaurants nearby. Breakfast was okay, but the smallest selection of the 5 hotels we stayed in (we hopped around Rome, Florence, Sorrento, Capri & back to Rome). I don't know that we would stay there again as a first-choice (we would likely try the second hotel in Rome we booked, but if that wasn't available, yes, we'd stay here again), but it IS a nice hotel. Hotel Piedmont was a great overnight stay for us. It is in a very convenient location near the train station, so seeing the sights is easy. The rooms were clean and quiet. The manager was very helpful in helping us with directions or anything else we required. I would recommend this hotel as a base while in Rome.
"Excellent Location"
Highly recommended. Two blocks from the main train station, and metro, which will connect you to all the main tourist sights.

"Good value for a short stay"
I stayed one night while passing through Rome. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great for the train station but would no be so good if you were staying to visit the sights.
"2 adults and one 9 yr old"
Great, clean and night was quiet.laundry service is two blocks away and offers internet for minimal charge or free with wash if you wash a certain amount. two streets away from Termini Station no need for cab easy to find. staff very helpful and english speaking. very roomy. for Rome at a good price and the convieniance i would defnatly stay again […] here. "good hotel for sighseeing"
Stayed at the Piemonte in Rome for a few days at the start of a two week holiday (before heading to Sorrento) and then for one night before flying home. Practical location a few minutes' walk from Roma Termini train station, which is also where the central bus and metro stations are. We mainly walked into the centre, 20 minute downhill walk. Uphill […] on on way back and we sometimes jumped on a bus! We stayed in a room on the ground floor on the first stay and on the first floor for 1 night on the second stay. Both decent sized with good bathrooms. Slightly on the darker side but as we were out most of the day this didn't matter. The ground floor room was above the breakfast area and clinking of cups/plates and chair dragging can be heard at breakfast time, but as we were up and out early this wasn't a huge problem. Breakfast wasn't amazing - basic continental, but overall ok. Would consider this hotel again for future stays in Rome. Read more
"Good Value..."
Honestly, a good place to stay for the money. Convenient location, adequate room size, friendly service, and a simple breakfast. We were not in Rome to stay at the hotel; we were in Rome to see the sights. Only critique is the Air Conditioning needs an overhaul.
"Great Location and good value for your money"
I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel, everything is excellent, location, service, security and quietness. The only thing......which is the same for most hotels...the breakfast. It is not the typical eggs, toasts or cereal that most people usually have. I am not a fan of this type of breakfast but in the end....it's free.
"Good location"
The location was good as it is near the Termini station but the neighborhood is a bit scary and doesn't have much around.
"Okay Hotel"
I would not say that this is a good hotel, but could have been worse. It is very close to Rome Termini station, it is nice for the hotel owners to help us keep our luggage even after we checked out. Sound proofing is really bad, i can hear everyone coming back, using the lift, walk, talk and even running tap water. Breakfast was ok, nothing to scream […] about. But the dining area is rather small. TV was a bit disappointing, showing only a handful of italian channels and CNN. For non italian speaking tourist, is a disaster. Internet line was not stable and slow. Read more
Except the slight smell of humidity from the bathroom (which we got rid off by leaving the bathroom door and window open for a while in the morning, Hotel Piemonte was great. The location was ideal for a short stay as the Termini station is only 5 min walk away. The walk to the Villa Borghese is really nice and short as well. We will definitely go back […] there on our next trip to Roma. Read more
"Rome hotel Piemonte close to Termini Train station"
Hotel Piemonte is near to Station, shower water is not hot eough, wifi is weak and always need to re-connect, heat will be closed in night time.
"Clean hotel near Termini"
Othewise the hotel is clean, staff friendly and a breakast buffet good. I stayed one night in a single room and it was really tiny... for one night it is ok, but for several nights it wouldn't be a good choice.
"Nice Hotel"
the hotel nearly train station, nice room & clean and breakfast was nice, but the bath room so small. The staff was so helpful and nice! the lobby have wifi & public computer.
"Close to Rome train station"
The hotel is very near to Roma Termini (main train station) so it's convenient but there are some unsavoury characters hanging around so must be extra vigilant on the way to the hotel especially at night. The hotel room and its bathroom are quite small but enough for 2 adults. I saw some hair on the toilet floor when we arrived but otherwise the housekeeping […] staff did a pretty good job everyday and toiletries were replenished daily. The reception is not very friendly but they will give you suggestions if you asked. Stayed for 4 nights. An ok place if you need a decent and relatively cheap place to stay. Read more
