Joe, Trey, and Patrick were fantastic at the front desk, and the shuttle driver Dwayne kept us entertained the entire ride. All of our accommodations were fulfilled and the staff went above and beyond to make our bachelor party memorable.

This was a last-minute booking, and it definitely was a game-changer for my trip to Nashville. After a previous booking (elsewhere) had gone poorly, I came to this Marriott hoping to revive my excitement about coming to Nashville. Staff was friendly. Workout room was clean and had everything I needed. The beautiful park across the street was the icing on the cake! Thanks for a great stay. I will be returning.

Waited 40 minutes for food that was cold when we got it. Asked for two tickets got one-she disappeared and never came back, did not get refills and she did not check on us at all. Talked to two reservationists before we got requests taken care of. Shuttle was ridiculously slow and then the driver told my father that is getting an hip replacement that he could have walked to the baseball field. Friday was great- Saturday and Sunday left a lot to be desired.

I was in need of a emergency getaway from all the stress of work and family responsiblities in Memphis. The short trip to Nashville was just what I need. My stay at the Marriot Vanderbilt was excellent from the moment we valet parked to the well care from the staff. This includes the conciege, the restaurant staff and the housekeeping. The room was exceptionably clean and comfortable. I would highly recomment this hotel.

Perfect location with just a few minutes walk to the Student Life Center. Extraordinarlity friendly & helpful front desk staff. Took advantage of the free shuttle service to/from downtown several times and found the drivers to be timely and helpful with local information and suggestions. Highly recommend this hotel for a campus visit.

They need to change the prices on their website for parking. It is about 10 dollars higher than the website says. valet is 28 a day and I think that is too much because of the room rates already being high. Holiday Inn quality for Ritz Carlton prices on parking/valet.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The location is convenient, though we weren't there during a home Vanderbilt football game. An in-house Starbucks stand made for a quick, easy breakfast. We didn't opt for the breakfast buffett, but it looked tasty. Self-park, though convenient, was a little pricey at $24 plus tax per night. Our room was very clean and quiet. Easy access to Centennial Park across the street from the hotel provided a nice place for a walk/outdoor exercise. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable, and I would return without hesitation.

Entering the hotel is much more complicated than it should be. The front of the hotel is constantly chaotic, while the back is quiet and easy to access. Why not have folks drive up to the back? The valet parking is overly emphasized resulting in front door chaos, which is completely unnecessary. Internet access is NOT free, which is not appreciated considering the price of the rooms. The TV in our room malfunctioned.

The room was nice. However, the bed was a little uncomfortable. Not too bad but not too great either. The noise levels outside were a little loud at times. The breakfast was great, and the service was awesome. Cortney was our server and she was terrific- a real tribute to the staff. There was also very good representative named James who was highly professional. Initially, though, we did not have a pleasant experience because another representative who checked us in who did not program our cards correctly and did not give us proper directions to the parking garage. We were unable to access the parking garage once we found it on our own, so we had to turn around go back to the lobby to get the cards programmed for access. We voiced our displeasure with the manager. However, overall, a very good stay, and a very nice hotel, highlighted by the professionalism of Cortney and James. Because of their service, and the amenities of the hotel, we would gladly return. Thanks.

Hotel was nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Easy check-in. Room clean and comfortable, but had an antiseptic smell that we did not like. Sink was clogged, but they came and fixed it right away. Turned off air conditioning but room was still freezing cold at night (even in the hottest month of the year) and no extra blankets were provided in room. Used extra blanket second night but still freezing cold. Had to wear socks and sweats to sleep. They also have a convenient free shuttle that will take you around the University area.

Our room was loud - something was always running in the wall, sounded like a hot water heater. Room looked a little run down & wasn't totally clean. The shuttle service was very good except for one driver-he shuttled us several times one day and was not nice or friendly. My daughter and I didn't like being in the shuttle with him. The other drivers, however, were great - very friendly and helpful in answering our questions. For the money, I didn't 't feel this hotel met my expectations. We stayed in a different hotel on our return.

At every turn the staff was very eager to attend to me. The overall stay was clean and convenient. My only suggestion is to give a variety of pillow sizes, they were much too big for my preference.

This was an emergency stay at Marriott Vanderbilt! Scarritt-Bennett lodging was HIDEOUS and there was a spider hatching incident that led to a late night booking. Even though we looked like crazy people coming in the hotel at midnight, the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The air-conditioning noise was a little bit annoying but, given where we had been, it was relatively paradise!

We had a wonderful time visiting Nashville! The hotel was really well located being a short drive (or cab ride, no parking that way) to both the downtown area and music row. There are also plenty of restaurants up and down West End/Broadway Ave. The service was great and I must tip my hat to Willis for doing an extraordinary job with making our stay as pleasant as possible!

This hotel is adjacent to Campus...easy walk...and that is its best feature. Otherwise it is nice but far from exceptional. For those seeking a higher end option that is a bit further away...The Hutton is a good choice. For those who balk at paying $25 to park in the garage and $9.95/day for internet...the Hampton Ellison Place is nearly as nice...almost as close....and a very good option with free parking and internet.

Little disapointed for what I payed. First shock was the cost per day parking plus tax. I'm glad I only stayed 1 day or we would have left at that rate. Next the reason I chose a Marriott was for a contental breakfast that was not incluced in the price of the stay. As one's I've stayed in the pass not so here. We did find a nice little mom a pop grill accross the way.

Over all this is a nice place to stay, I would stay again. The pluming could use some work the shower leaked and sprayed water all over. It is close to many restruants and places to visit of in town for some fun. $30 peaking per night ( kind of silly as this in not a big city that you would expect this in)

On my way back to Midwest from Southwest Florida, my traveling buddy and I decided to stop in Nashville, TN for a night of fun. Travelers over 65 never,ever pass up a night of fun, it may be your LAST NIGHT! Checked into the Vanderbilt Marriott and the service began. Everyone was so friendly, ESP Abby the supervisor who took time to point out free shuttle service down to "Honkry Tonk" Row. Our bartender, female(I forgot) name,who gave recommendations and encouraged us to go and enjoy!!! We were 2 of the oldest, however, our memories are the dearest! We caught the last shuttle home, having met 2 young British soldiers on leave from Afghanistan on their first trip to US! I will go back and try another night, for the service that made even me feel oh so special for 1 night in a dream town!

We stayed for a couple nights as my wife had surgery with Dr Byrd. Hotel was close convenient and accommodating. They had a wheelchair that made it handy to go to dinner at the close by restaurants. Pf changs. Flemings. Will stay again. Our room overlooked the stadium. Great view if you ever want to watch the vandy game ask for room 405,505,605 etc.

I have stayed at the Vanderbilt Marriott at least 8 times and have always had excellent service to compliment its terrific beds and spotless rooms. For me, the valet service, the size and quality of the rooms, and the food are better than the Loews, and the prices are also lower. Right outside the front door is a PF Chang, and around the corner are lovely shops, more dining, a Starbucks (even though, the Marriott has a Starbucks concession), and a Barnes & Noble that doubles as the Vanderbilt University bookstore. If you are on an admissions trip, the VU building is just a few blocks south on West End. This trip, we had a UHaul and knew that valet would park it in an upper garage floor where it would be secure.

short walk to campus, beautiful park right accross street with 19 tennis courts. Excellent restaurants a short walk away. Perfect location for Vandy visit.

Hotel was very clean; staff very helpful and friendly; valet was timely; expensive but worth the price. Convenient location and shuttle service to downtown.

Hotel staff was helpful and courteous. Location cannot be beat for a visit to Vanderbilt. Hotel and room were clean. Was pleasantly surprised to be able to check in early. Having free wifi restricted to public areas was the only drawback.
