Really is a 2.5 star hotel. Lumpy pillows and bed. Outdated building and rooms. But location is prime being next to boardwalk and ocean view.

The hotel was nice enough. I thought I was splurging and getting a great hotel when it was just ok. It was my boyfriends birthday and I decided to go for the extra $ a night compared to some other places I saw for cheaper. The rooms were clean and spacious with a little kitchenette. It was off season, so maybe that's why our balcony was covered in sand. […] But for the extra price it kind of seemed lack luster. The local menus book and the amenities book in the room seemed very out of date. I learned more about where to eat from Yelp. I will probably not stay here again. I'd rather save my money and stay some place where I'd expect mediocracy. Read more

The rooms were horrible. They say they are renovating from the top down and only on level 10 of 12. Our room was on the 2nd floor and horrible. I have seen better motel 6's. Walls were water damaged, patio floors moved, ceiling was failing down; even the lobby was in bad shape. Basically anything that could be broke or damaged was. we stayed here for two days. They should have told us about maintenance work being done on the roof. It made lot of noise starting 7am in the morning. I did not want to wake up at 7 during my vacation. Also, they should have asked our cars to be removed from the nearby parking lot. It was all covered with dust when we left.

Our room was nice. We stayed on the 5th floor but some of our golf group stayed on the 11th floor (12th floor was the top floor) and had to vacate their rooms after a major water leak after a heavy rain storm. Stay on the lower floors! Overall stay was very good. Staff was very accommodating.

we had a really nice stay, the only problem that we had was nothing to do with the hotel. my sister was sick the whole time and didn't even get to the boardwalk. but, we both said we would stay there again.... good job

Hotel was comfortable but dated. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and well stocked but not well sound-proofed Love the beachfront location. Great view. I'd recommend this hotel and a good OC option and I would stay here again.

The Grand Hotel needs significant renovation as the rooms look like they are stuck in the 90's, dull colors, furiniture is worn out. The balcony sliding glass door was so cloudy that you could not see outside to the ocean. The hotel is right on the beach and it would have been a beautiful ocean vista if the glass had not been obstructed. Indoor pool […] needs renovation too. Staff were friendly. Rooms were basically clean. Obvoiusly, the owner/management have not taken care of the facility and it has run down, what a shame because the location is great. If they remodel, it would be nice. It has become more and more popular to ban smoking on balconies and public spaces. This has to stop. What about "pet friendly"? Ok to run into a dog in the elevator? How about offensive T-shirts, unruly or drunken kids? Stop trying to legislate private behavior. You'll be sorry when they come after your vice.

We have stayed here before and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was very clean but slightly dated. Bed was very comfortable. Has ocean view from every room. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Hotel is located directly on the boardwalk.

We enjoyed the hotel. Conveniently located and there are a lot of services in the hotel itself. We were in Ocean City in January, so many businesses were closed for the season, but the Grand Hotel was nice so we didn't miss the other businesses. The hotel was clean and well maintained and the staff was very efficient and courteous.

Although it is winter we had a great time. It was my youngests 15th birthday, so there were two of her friends, big sis and myself. We booked a room on the ocean. This was so nice. It was snowing on our ride there and when we got to the hotel room the first thing I did was go out on the balcony. So beautiful. The lights on the snow amplified the appearance. […] We love OC on the off season. Less traffic, less people, no waiting. The Hotel was really great. All of the staff were very accomodating with our extra needs of towels, cleanups, or what ever. The staff was also very happy and pleasant and you can tell they actually like their jobs. It is also convenient that there is a pool, game room, boutique for shopping, a small eatery, a pizza place, and a bar. There is still plenty to do on the off season at the beach. I highly recommend this Hotel to anyone. Read more

the hotel it self is very nice, love the 24 hour coffee shop, it was clean on arrival, but I found that the 3 days we were there the bath tub was never cleaned, the mirror not cleaned, and the room was not vacuumed, I think all that was done was the bed was made. if not for this I would give the hotel very satisfied.

Love this hotel their staff and the location. They are very attentive to your every need. There is a bar, pool, pizza restaurant, cafe which is open 24 hours, several seating areas. i could go on and on. they also offer specials throughout the year.

Check-in/Check-out very easy and efficient. Staff very nice and helpful with local restaurant recommendations, especially since a number of places are closed in off-season. Wonderful ocean view. Room and accommodations comfortable and clean, but a bit dated. Slider door to balcony off the track and hard to move.

I booked a king got two doubles... Called to tell them I would be checking in late, got there no note and room noshed and cancelled... Also put in a couple requests for the room and none were met. Then the sink was clogged , the frige was off and took five hours to get mildly cold... The tv went out four times.. I will never stay there again

This was literally the worst stay in Ocean City I have ever had, the room was out of date and dirty, the hotel doesn't allow smoking, not even on it's balconies and because we smoked one cigarette out on the patio we were charged a $150 fee without any knowledge of being charged, and we were constantly harrassed by the front desk, maids, and hotel managers. […] The third night of my stay me and my father were forced to move to the holiday inn right up the street which i highly recommend over this terrible place.
